We had such a wonderful time staying at Bay Blessed. The house was clean and comfortable, the views from the porch for both sunrise and sunset were fantastic, and we enjoyed the quiet location on the beach. We had two young kids with us and we enjoyed the nearby playground and pickleball courts as well as the nature center. Had a fire on the beach one of the nights, which was fantastic! Dinner and games on the screened in porch every night with a view of the sun setting over the wildlife preserve was unmatched!
Good for future guests to know that this is not really a swimming beach (very rocky and the water is shallow and murky), so you'll want to pack up and drive to other beaches to swim. We loved Savannah beach, Cape Henlopen state park beach, and Deauville beach (north of rehobeth).

Three generations had a great time. The house was perfect for our needs. There was a issue with what VRBO listed and Tina took care of it right away!

Our family of 8 adults stayed at this home 2 years ago. When looking for a vacation home this year we decided to return since we enjoyed it so much! The new couches were a pleasant surprise

Our family had a wonderful time at Bay Blessed beach house. We enjoyed being right on the bay and most days we were the only ones on the beach.
All the extra touches at the home were wonderful including a very well stocked kitchen, bicycles, kayaks and screened in porch.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We love the setting right at the beach. The house is extremely comfortable with enough space, bedrooms and living space to fit in easily 9 people. We love the screened in porch. We loved the nature center close by which should be promoted more.

We had such a fabulous time during our stay at Bay Blessed. This little nook in the world is definitely a hidden gem. It was so quiet and peaceful, we practically had the beach to ourselves on most days. There were so many treasures to be found on the beach that we created a game. Everyone gathered their favorite finds throughout the week, at the end of the week each person voted on what they thought was the best find and the winner received a $50 Amazon gift card. It was well worth the cost of the gift card because this provided hours and hours of fun for the whole family. The prize winner was a huge conch shell. Other fun activities were bike rides to the nature center, pickle ball at the the local courts, kayaking (provided), paddle boarding (we brought our own), game nights, a trip into Rehoboth for dinner and the boardwalk, a trip to Kings Homemade Ice Cream, dinner at the Palace (sooo much delicious food for a reasonable price and great service), we even rented a metal detector from the local Sunbelt for a few days and had fun looking for buried treasure. My most favorite spot of all was on the screened in porch, we spent many hours there having coffee/tea, chatting, etc. Other than linens, the house has everything you might need for the week. This heavenly spot is definitely on the list of rentals we would consider visiting again. Thank you Tina & Joel for sharing your home with our family!

We were in the area for sports tournaments and extended our stay for a little family vacation. This was a great location. Very family friendly and beautiful views! Kayaks were fun for all ages! We loved being steps away from the beach.

We very much enjoyed our October stay. The house is very comfortable and meals on the porch overlooking the water were super. The sunrise and moon rises were spectacular. But my favorite part of the stay was the availability of the beach for daily strolls. The beach runs for a couple of miles along the national wildlife refuge and is perfect for long secluded strolls. And lastly the owner of the house (Tina) was very pleasant to coordinate the trip with.

Everything about this house was perfect! Right on the water… wake up to fish and you are right there! Sunrises, sunsets, dolphins, beach walls, low key, out of the crazy busy beach hustle and bustle. A truly relaxing place to stay!

Spacious house with plenty of room for our family to relax together and have time to ourselves too. Everything we needed was there including kitchen supplies, kayaks, chairs, even some firewood! The views were truly beautiful and we enjoyed the natural beach and collecting shells along the water. It is more of a beach for walking along and kayaking instead of swimming, but still very nice to be outside. Definitely bring bug spray the biting flies are out if the wind is blowing towards the East. Easy to get to Lewes or a bit farther to Rehobeth, we appreciated the recommendation for ice cream at Hopkins Farm Dairy! We also enjoyed biking down to the nature center and learning about all the wildlife. A wonderful stay.

Absolutely a great place for families with kids of all ages. Right on the beach. Screened in porch which was a great addition to this house. Nature center close by where the kids got a fishing lesson and got to know more about horse shoe crabs. Overall we will be back next year. Great communication with the owner. Great biking and walking the beach.

Grandparents, children & grandchildren stayed here. Great quiet setting...walk out the door to beach and bay.. Well equipped with anything you might need. Guard chair, bird house, kayaks were nice. Heated outdoor shower with fun lighting was a crowd favorite. Good communication with host.

We just finished our stay at Bay Blessed. There were 8 of us, including 8 month old twins and a 3 year old. Honestly, the accommodations were wonderful! The beach was literally steps away which made it very helpful with the kiddos. The beach was Stony, but that didn't really bother us. We walked the beach often looking for pretty stones and sea glass and we were never disappointed in what we found! There were some biting flies, but the bug spray that we bought really seemed to help. The house itself was beautiful! We especially enjoyed the screened in porch where you could enjoy the view without any pesky bugs to ruin the moment! We often ate lunch/dinner out there, and played games and cards while relaxing. The three separate decks also gave you plenty of options as to where you wanted to go to enjoy the sun. We were looking for a place where we could relax, yet have access to nearby things to do. This property definitely fit the bill, and the hostess couldn't have been more commutative and accommodating. The kitchen was very spacious and included anything you might need for cooking purposes as well as plenty of seating. There were a lot of steps to get to the main living space, so just be aware if that might be a difficulty for you...but it wasn't too much. Most of the actual bedrooms were halfway up the stairs to the right. The bedrooms were large and welcoming, and the beds were comfortable. I have a bad back, so that's saying something! I would definitely recommend!

This was our second year staying at Bay Blessed. This is an ideal spot to please kids and adults alike. Being only steps away from the beach allowed the kids to play close to the house and pop inside for a snack or relax and watch a movie. Adults can walk the beach or hang out surf fishing. There are also some other great beaches nearby such as Beach Plum Island and Cape Henlopen. There are a lot of nearby shoppes and restaurants. You can do as little or as much as you want staying at Bay Blessed! Definitely recommend for a great vacation!

Our family enjoyed a relaxing week at the beach. The weather was absolutely perfect and we enjoyed just about every sunrise and sunset, most of them from the great porch and deck areas. The host was extremely accommodating and made the entire process easy, and provided lots of good tips for things to do in the area.

This was our family’s first time renting an entire home for our four adult children and two sons in law. We had an amazing experience at Bay Blessed! Everyone had their own space and could have their own alone time when wanted. The common living room and kitchen area provided enough space for everyone to be together. It was wonderful to be able to come and go to the beach. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to make our meals. We used the bikes everyday and rode to the tennis court and played pickleball. We used the kayaks. We brought inflatable tubes and used them every day in the water. We did experience getting bit by jellyfish, though it only happened on one day of our entire stay. Just a heads up. I bought a rake and left it at house to clear up any seaweed. We also cleared an area and set up our cornhole set as well as a beach volleyball set we brought with us. Most days we were the only ones on the beach. So quiet and peaceful! The sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous. We enjoyed eating our meals in the screened in deck which is off of the kitchen. There are lights out there to enjoy playing evening games on the deck. The decor around the house is well done. The house was very clean. Tina is an excellent communicator and was so kind to answer my many questions before we arrived. We loved our time at her home. Everyone in our family was so pleased with the home and its’ accommodations.

The home and location was beautiful. Slaughter Beach is a wonderful vacation spot. The entire family loved everything about the week. From fishing on the beach to the fire on the beach in the evening. Tina was a wonderful host and was very responsive when we had questions. Thank you for a wonderful vacation week with our family!

House was absolutely wonderful and exactly as listed on VRBO. Owners were very quick to respond to our questions and spent a lot of time putting together information about the area. Kitchen was very well stocked. As mentioned in previous comments the upstairs master did get a little warm - but with some adjusting as suggested in the welcome packet we were able to cool it down at night. We loved walking on the beach every morning, looking for sea glass and shells. The wildlife around is just incredible. We saw rays in the water when we went paddle boarding one day, a fox on the beach and some deer tracks. We enjoyed spending the days in the screened in porch or fishing. My husband and son caught a few dogfish. Sunrise and sunsets were absolutely stunning. Sunsets on the roof deck were out of this world! Our week was very warm, and with that it seemed there were lots of jellyfish and horseflies (both out of control of the owners, but did want to mention). It seems we were at the tail end of things, but again I just wanted to mention. Overall, great place! Lots of room for everyone in our group.

If you want a beach getaway without the huge crowds of people at the beach this place is perfect. Very small town with nice neighbors and very few people out on the beach. It's mostly private owners that live here. There is public access points but not too many people look advantage of it during our stay. Which made a very private feel to the beach. We try to stay bay side because of the little ones in our group. We've stayed ocean front and the waves can be a bit much. Bayside is perfect for the kids to explore. We did a lot of fishing and crabbing during our stay. Fish we caught were Spot, Croaker, and plenty of small Sand Bar Sharks. We did see 1 flounder, but it was in the crab pot not on our fishing line. There was plenty of blue crabs right out back to keep us busy. There's pots at the house but we brought our crab traps that we ran with our Kayaks. Tons of female crabs but there were a few nice males mixed in. We took the kids to Lewes and Rehoboth for mini golf, go karts, water park, and the boardwalk experience. It was nice to come back to Slaughter Beach after all of that. We do most of our cooking on vacation which includes the fish and crabs we catch. The kitchen was well stocked of all the essentials we needed including a large steam pot for crabs. We loved the layout of the house. Plenty of rooms with comfortable beds. Our experience was amazing. The host was great. Slaughter Beach almost felt like a secret. Not many people know about it. Hope it stays that way. Wonderful place to get away.

Relax and Connect
Our time at Bay Blessed was greater then we ever had expected it would be.
The process:
Super easy and the owners were in communication the whole time.
The house:
Absolutely amazing! Clean and well taken care of, this allowed for us to be able to relax with little to worry about. The rooms were well furnished, and had plenty of space for everyone. Helpful notes were provided around the home to help with questions that might arise, example, thermostat, dishes, etc. The owners also provided toys, bikes, basketballs, tennis racquets and sand toys for use by the renters. There were also tvs in every room. No cable, but if you had streaming on your phone you could connect to the tvs via cables, otherwise there was ample amount of dvds to watch as well. One of our favorite spots in the home was the screened in porch. As an added bonus, the notebook shed some light on the family, the decor in the home and thier history and values.
Location:
We loved the location, away from the crowds but with 30 min of all the great resturants/activities of the northern beach area. The area is a single road with houses on one side and a nature preserve across the street. The beach was 10 steps out the back door, and provided a great view of the bay. Most days we spent on the beach, we were the only ones there. The water was cloudier/silty due to being in the bay. The beach is also alot more natural, as in horseshoe crabs and other wildlife/ plants are common on the beach. This can include crabs that may not have moved in a day or two. Despite the expired crabs, this is where we were able to connect with nature, teach our kids about the animals that are there and how important they are. Being on the beach also allowed to spark curiosity in our kids. One of our favorite activities was walking the beach every morning flipping horseshoe crabs and getting them back to the water. As mentioned the water was cloudy but shallow, great for our young kids. Little to no waves to help build confidence.
Overall an amazing experience! We loved the home and location. Will definitely be on our list to revisit.

On the Beach
The house was clean and had any kind of kitchen item for cooking that you would need. I even baked my daughter a BD cake.
The house is on the beach which we walked on for miles every day. It was very windy while we were there, but we still enjoyed the beach

Relaxing beach oasis
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bay Blessed. We had a group of 11 and there was something for everyone. With four kids under 10 this was the ideal spot. They had a great time at the beach but if they got bored they were able to go only a few steps back to the house. The house had an amazing selection of DVDs , games, bikes and scooters to keep their attention. Everyone enjoyed peaceful morning walks to see the horseshoe crabs. This is a fantastic spot for nature lovers. Many days we had the entire beach to ourselves! This beach house was also a short driving distance to other beaches, shops, and restaurants. I would highly recommend this vacation spot to anyone! Thanks Bay Blessed for helping us to create wonderful family memories!

Perfect Family Shore House
We had a lovely time last week visiting the shore and staying at Bay Blessed. The photos of this property truly don’t do it justice. It is mere steps from the beach, which was absolutely ideal with our young children. The water was calm, and they loved seeing the Horseshoe crabs and hunting for shells and pebbles. We were often the only ones on the entire span of beach. Grownups enjoyed a bonfire one night (close to the water, less than 3 feet wide, and constantly supervised!) and sitting on the screened in porch late into the evenings.
I came ready with all the tiny daily household items that you often find are lacking in a rental property, but ended up not having to use any of my Ziploc bags full of gadgets (scissors, screwdriver, nightlights, etc). You can tell it has been very thoughtfully arranged by the owners.
The house is fully outfitted with everything you could ask for. The kitchen is fully stocked, complete with electronic gadgets like blenders, toasters, even Panini makers! Both a keurig and a regular coffee maker.
The bedrooms are spacious and accommodated our large group easily.
My one and only suggestion would be to bring a fan to use in the upstairs bedroom; it was unbearably hot in there at bedtime since it receives direct afternoon sun, even with the ceiling fan, blinds dream all day, and tweaking the AC settings per instructions. It eventually cooled off in the early morning hours, but the couple and their infant that stayed there were pretty uncomfortable for the first half of their nights!
Other than that one issue, there is not a single thing I would change about the property.
Kudoes to Tina and her family for sharing such a beautiful home with others to make unforgettable memories of their own. Don’t hesitate to rent this property! Thank you Tina for our stay!

Peaceful and relaxing
We loved our stay here. Most days we were the only people on the beach for as far as we could see. So it was quiet and private.
Our kids loved the opportunity to kayak and to swim out so far since there were little waves at low tide.
We enjoyed grilling and eating on the screened porch. We took pictures on the roof top deck at sunrise that turned out beautiful.
Would definitely recommend.

Vacation relaxation
Everything about this vacation was perfect! The house is beautiful with lots of room for our family and very clean and organized. The beach is also very nice. Very quiet and serene. The water most mornings and day was like glass. We spent a lot of time on the kayaks and fishing. The owners are great! They are very responsive. We will definitely be back!

Awesome relaxing family trip!
Nice relaxing and quiet location. Our kids love riding the bikes up to the tennis court and basketball court everyday. The beach was perfect for my two year old niece. It was her first trip to the beach and it was very nice not having many people around. We got to kayak in the bay and watch someone catch a small shark! Probably one of our favorite things to do was to go for a walk on the beach right at sunset with our whole family.

July 4th week stay - Garbers from VA/TX
Wonderful quiet beach - has everything you need. Suggest you go to house first and see what they have and don't have ( to include condiments, food, etc.) because we had those types of things from other guests that stayed there and we left those types of things after we left as well. Alot of steps to get up and down to the beach. Spectacular views of the Bay. Very calm bay - great for young kids. Fire on the beach at night was great. Plenty of rooms/beds for big families. Would highly recommend this property - Tina was very fast at responding to questions we had.

perfect secluded beach house
this is the perfect beach house if you are looking for a quiet house on the beach. we had the whole beach to ourselves and there weren’t any noisy neighbors (there are houses all along the beach but i think most are lived in by locals). just a short drive into town (15 minutes) and only 30 minutes to the busier areas (rehoboth beach and ferry to cape may) if you want to sightsee. check in and out was super easy. couldn’t have asked for a better vacation spot!

Perfect Beach Week
Property is very clean and owners did a great job to make everything perfect. In addition to a very relaxing week at the beach, we also enjoyed kayaking, bird and ship watching, stargazing and fishing. We are already looking for weeks in 2022 to return to the house with our families.

Great spot for family getaway
If you’re looking for a quiet private beach family getaway, this is it! We really enjoyed how it’s right on the water with great views. You can sleep to the sound of the waves. This house has plenty of bedrooms and a large family room/kitchen great for hanging out and entertaining. Also, cycling loops around the farms from beach to beach is scenic and fun. Thanks!

Slaughter Beach 2020
We had a very nice stay at your lovely home in August 2020. Our party consisted of four adults and three children, and we definitely had room to spare. The house has a great living area in the the majority of the top floor, which includes a well-stocked kitchen. The property is in a very quiet area and there were never more than a few fellow beach goers around. It was nice to have access to bikes, scooters, and kayaks as well. We had excellent communication with the owner, who promptly answered all of our questions prior to and during our stay.
We did find that the beach had a significant amount of washed up debris. Water shoes would definitely be recommended when going in the water.

Lovely! Just what we needed!
Excellent location for quiet, solitude in a time of chaos! Social distancing at its finest with a beach perfect for our young children. Waves were just right for our nature loving boys who enjoyed daily beach walks looking for shells, rocks and sea critters! Fishing from the beach and kayaking were enjoyable as were the nightly bonfires on the beach. The house was located right on the sand which made for easy access and comfortable beach outings. House was great for our needs, However would have liked to have a crib and high chair for our little one (packing big items like that was not easy). Otherwise, the open family room upstairs with kitchen was welcoming for all of us to eat together, watch movies and play games on the few rainy days. Bedrooms were perfect for our needs. Overall, We would definitely rent there again and recommend this beach and property to those looking for peace and quiet, beautiful nature & best off all, no crowds.

Amazing place!
We had wonderful time! Three families with six kids total, and had am amazing time. The setup of the house, especially having the living area at the top and bedroom below was perfect for kids of various ages. Being that close to the beach was priceless! Letting kids go have fun, while sitting back at the screened porch, was the highlight of every morning. We watched sun rise on one side and sunsets on the other, hung out at the upper level porch at night to watch the stars. It was an all-around wonderful time for all of us!! Cannot wait to come back again! Thank you!!

Slaughter Beach - Lovely House
This house, sitting directly on the beach in a very quiet area and comfortably housing our group of 7 (could fit 10-12 adults+), was perfect for our long weekend getaway. The kitchen is very well stocked with all that is needed for prepping and serving meals., including modern appliances, small and large. The kitchen-grand room area was lovely for hanging out as a group. The exterior decks and porches provided added hang out space and afforded great views of the bay. The bedrooms/bathrooms offer a variety of sleeping configurations, including for children, and also had everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Though we brought our own supplies needed for the stay, the owners were quite gracious, offering use of supplies (on a use it, replace it basis) and other personal items. We really enjoyed use of the kayaks on the bay! There's plenty of parking - we easily fit 6 cars.
Renters should know that the house main living area is a full two stories above the ground and access to that area is by way of two large flights of steps. Most bedrooms are on the level directly below the living area. Plan for lots of step training during the stay :-)
The owners were very communicative prior to our stay, quickly answering all questions and providing all needed info in a pleasant and kind manner. Grateful for that as it makes the process of securing a good space a lot easier.
Thanks!

Serenity on the Bay
Nice house on the Bay
We loved to see the sunrise each morning The beach is sand /stones and seashells Great for a beach chair with lots of privacy Water is only knee deep and a little murky Famous for the number of horseshoe crabs there The house is a bit secluded so you have a 20 min drive for groceries etc Rehoboth Beach is a 30 min drive with beach and boardwalk lots of people so we enjoyed coming back to the quiet house
There are 28 steps to climb to the second floor living room kitchen and screened porch
Overall a nice stay once I learned to appreciate the serenity
