Abgeschiedenheit, Ruhe, umgeben von Natur, sehr komfortable Betten, schicke Zimmer, großes und reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, kostenloses Zimmerupgrade,
Sauna hat nicht gut funktioniert
4.0 / 5.0

After cycling the F208, it's nice to have this hotel in this location. Food was pretty good too.
For a location that is not that remote actually, I would have expected more for this price. There are a few newer more modern rooms, but they put me in one of the old ones, that was very small and outdated.

Great place to chill after long day journey to/ from sigoldugljufur area. Thanks for upgrade our room. Nice breakfast with many selection.
The light of self service petrol pump which outside the hotel is too bright. We need to go further to view northern light

Peaceful place. Simple yet tasty breakfast. Spacious room with comfy restroom. Good for night rest in a long journey. There is a “ob” gas station right beside parking lots.

The location is good if you plan to go to The Highlands.
The room is very small.

Friendly staff
There is a 7 min hot water rule that you only hear about when you check in.

There was a ranger in the hotel in the morning that gave us very good advice and commented on our travel plans taking into account the current weather and expected changes. That was incredibly valuable!
The hotel had a common room where you were able to buy snacks and drinks late in the evening. The parking lot was huge.
The hotel was the most expensive one we stayed in Iceland and I can understand as there are not that many available, it is possible to ask for a higher price, but definitely felt overpriced.
The description said that it is a small room, but it was smaller than expected. It would be fitting for a couple or one person.

This hotel offers convenience and comfort in Landmannalauger region- a beautiful but remote area. This hotel has all one needs for day-hikes; sandwiches for hiking, grilled burgers until 11 pm, gas station and a small store. From the hotel it’s another hour+ drive on F208 to the trails area, but this is the only hotel in this area unless you do camping or sleep in cars. The staff is extremely nice and hospitable. I left my walking shoes after checking out, and one of the staff, Guðrún actually drove and delivered them to me near Reykjavík where I was staying, unbelievably kind!
The size of the room is very small.

A well-managed clean facility. The room was not cheap and was very small but it was comfortable and gave as close a base as possible to Landmannalaugar other than camping. Good bistro meals and a good breakfast.

The only positive think is the location close to landmannalaugar. maybe now that is all paved to this point it has loose a little of interest.
overpriced accomodation. Rooms are really narrow and toilet also. No space to move if you are in 2 with 2 luggage.

Location - close to road 208 which leads to Landmannalaugar. Also other points of interest nearby
Room is a little crowded for 3

The location is perfect if you're heading out the highlands. Also an ideal location if you're after the Northern lights since this hotel is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and there's absolutely no light polution.
Our room most likely hadn't been used for a while before we arrived because it smelled very musty. This is also located at one of the few spots in iceland where they don't have geothermal heated water and the hot water tank in the room was quite small. If you need to take two showers, make sure you're being as efficient as possible.

Everything! The facilities were warm and cozy, and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are snug with large luggage, although are above and beyond when in the Highlands.
Not a thing, everything was perfect.

Sauna, very good breakfast, you can also pack your lunch for the day. They give you single use slippers. The girl serving at the buffet breakfast was super nice and helpful.
Tiny room (smallest we've seen in Iceland), very uncomfortable bed, tiny bathroom, low staff friendliness, abusive price (200€ for 2 people per night).

Fantastic location, very good diner and friendly staff
not according to the high price: too small rooms, not equipped, limited warm water…
4.5 / 5.0
Decent place to stay before going to highlands in the middle of nowhere. Staff is super friendly and can give useful advices. Food is tasty as well. There is also gas station around. Rooms are quite small but comfortable.
almost no wifi most probably because devices connection limits

Great location for exploring the highlands. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The included breakfast was pretty good and the dinner was good as well. Rooms were comfortable, but not very big and the bathrooms were good size. Was convenient to have a gas pump out front.
Food quality could have been a little better with more local items on the menu instead of burgers and fries.
