Beautiful looking property, very special. Room was warm, clean & comfortable with nice views.
As we arrived to the property, the only staff member who was helping with checkin, drove off despite our arrival, with a smile on his face. We kept calling for 15min with no answer, until he came back and let us into our room, but not able to communicate. Very frustrating, takes away a lot from the experience the property is ready to offer.
Breakfast staff the same, no interaction with guests.
I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation.

The view is breathtaking - and you can enjoy it from the hot pot! And the place feels really cozy and homey.
The breakfast was very basic.

Due to road closures we had to frantically book two hotel rooms somewhere on road 1 at the last minute. Lambafell was available and I booked it without reading reviews. The place was phenomenal. Rooms were spacious enough (we had two twin beds pushed together, what we asked for), the bathroom was spacious, the shower was great. Check-in was simple (I had received the codes for the key lock boxes via e-mail). Everything was clean. The continental breakfast had a decent selection of food available. The hot tub was right outside our room (we had a door leading to it, actually) and while that could be a downfall if guests are rude, we had no issues and definitely enjoyed seeing the stars and the Northern Lights from the warmth of a hot tub. There are two amazing waterfalls nearby. I wish we had stayed here a few days prior, we stayed somewhere nearby but nowhere near as nice.
I don't think I disliked anything about this place. Everything was great. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was incredibly inviting and clean. It is situated just at the base of a beautiful mountain, and the balcony off our room gave us a gorgeous view of the surrounding landscape. The room itself was extremely comfortable - extra blankets and pillows for everyone, a mini-fridge for our food supplies, and plenty of space. Breakfast was great as well - the staff was very helpful and attentive. We especially appreciated the contactless checkin/checkout process. We ended up stranded at the hotel for one day of our stay due to dangerous weather conditions, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to hunker down. We even got some use out of the hottub before the storm rolled in! All in all, we had a fantastic time at Welcome Lambafell and would definitely book again!
No notes - it was a wonderful stay!

This was a beautiful spot close to the oldest swimming pool in Iceland. The breakfast was plentiful and there was coffee available around the clock. The building is beautiful and clean.

The location was great
The water had a strong sulfur smell but it is Iceland… and that is typical for some of the water sources

great view, wonderful living room
we didn’t get a towel for one room and the heating didn’t work
we wrote the message but nobody was about to help

Wonderful facility in an incredible location.
No major complaints at all.

Very nice looking lodge on our road trip through amazing Iceland. Very cozy. Room was a decent size as well as bathroom. Unfortunately didnt spend too much time there but will definitely return one day

it started off with my friend I was
traveling west with not receiving check
in instructions and we could not get
ANYONE on the phone for hours, after
trying for many hours, a lady answered
was very rude and said our stay was
canceled this left us in a pretty deserted
area. so I got on here and booked a stay
(one night at the guest house and two at
the homes) my check in process was
horrendous as well. the home we had
smelled like mildew. after talking to
many guests at both places, they went
though the same thing. 0/10

We did not get to try the breakfast but coffee was good.
We arrived late in the evening when if was dark and couldn’t find the hotel. There was no reception to call or ask the location of the hotel. I recommend adding more signs to lead travelers to the hotel after driving off road 1.

Breakfast good
Price outrageous given the level of service (not even a reception). One of the 2 rooms very small.

large living room with nice comfy seating. There was a problem with beds at check in that was resolved quickly.
hot tub dirty, woman at breakfast was cold and grumpy, and unfriendly.

The house felt so like home, we loved the tub outside, the breakfast was very good and the surroundings so so beautiful. Loved it

Hot tub was lovely. Staff were responsive when phoned. We were the only ones staying and so it was very quiet and relaxing. Free coffee and tea.
Room was very small. Not much in the way of kitchen or food storage facilities, and not much nearby for food.
3.5
Nice entrance. With free coffee
Realy bad service! Couldnt check in. No one was there. And after our stay, i got a mail with that the fault was completly on my side, and that i had complaind about the breakfast service witch they not have! (I dint say anything about that) and i should not try to make a complain, becouse the have proof that i was the problem!

Absolutely wonderful :)

100% self service which we loved. Credibility & reliability

It's quiet and pretty close to the ring-road.
It was nothing like we imagined from the pictures. The room smells bad, the shower looks and feels bad, everything inside is old and dated. We just stayed for one night and I'm happy we didn't book more. I should have searched more properties in this area. This was a mistake, and not a cheap mistake.

This hotel is very similar to the Twin Peak's tv series hotel, and we really like its aesthetics. The staff was super friendly, I don't understand why people leave some bad reviews in the past. We forgot our keys inside the room and they came super quick to open it for us. Plus, we got an upgrade in our bedroom and had breakfast for free, which is always nice to have :) Nearby you have a public hot tub that is nice to visit.
Maybe the rooms are not that good isolated, because we heard the steps of the neighbours, but nothing really to complain about it!
