The serene environment, very calm and peaceful

Beautiful hotel with large rooms
There was no staff present, probably because of renovation.
3.6
Staff v helpful and flexible. Value for money. Location.
Room was clean. Bedding and towels were good quality. Soap and shower gel was provided.
Not applicable - service provided is commensurate with price point.
3.6
The bed was very comfortable and we had all we needed,it was a lovely quiet area
It could do with a bathmat in the bathroom and a bit of oil on the doors
3.6
Good location, reasonable price, smooth self check-in (good and clear communication about the key collection).
Not a single rack, hook or hanger to put clothes or hang towels. Short bed.
Shower did not flow off, clogged (especially gross for a shared bathroom).
Room directly next to the shared bathroom, so I could hear running water and every flushing all the time.

The location of the hotel is within easy reach of the town.
We stayed in a 'suite' with king-size bed and clean white linen.
The bedroom and ensuite were large, and included a bath.
Lovely setting and quiet room.
We stayed 4 nights and did not see any staff.
The bin in our bathroom had not been emptied since previous occupants.
The paintwork around the windows were grubby, as was the bathroom door paintwork.
There is no service e.g. no bed-making, cleaning, bin emptying or fresh towels for a 4 night stay.
Dog hairs on sofa and chairs.
A number of confusing emails prior to our stay, including one thanking me for my stay and requesting a good review before I had even checked in.
Breakfast is 'Grab and Go'.

I sent feedback to be addressed but just got a "apologies" back.
Shower didnt work properly, underware left from previous guest, mattress was absolutely disgusting, bedside lights didn't work, other guests were noisey.
If the hotel asks for feedback I expect it to be addressed like they said, bit it hasn't been, so unfortunately I would rather the public know issues.
Mattress heavily stained, lights and shower not working. Wouldn't know who to contact as there was no one on site or contacts in room. Won't allow photos to be uploaded.
Hotel just didn't care about concerns.

Bed was comfortable. It was quiet. Affordable. Probably wouldn't stay again though
Bathroom smelt of damp. To be honest the whole bathroom could be doing with a good one over. Shower curtain and seat was disgusting.
3.6
Convenient for my activities. Warm room.
No replacement teabags in breakfast room on first day.
Breakfast room some way from bedroom.
Soundproofing inadequate.
Saw no staff at all & front desk phone not working properly when I used it on arrival to contact manager. Had to use my mobile to speak to him.
Too many messages sent before arrival so I did not see the one about check-in procedure until I arrived.
3.6
Spacious room with great views
No receptionist, just an automatic key slot machine. We had a problem accessing our key so it took us forever to get help. Definitely not for my taste- I like human interaction.
3.6
Fantastic price for the area. Great location for mountain biking and other outdoor/mountain activities. Local amenities were very close and catered for all necessities.
Fixtures and fittings were a little tired/dated.

This property is tucked away in a charming village with very friendly locals and staff. The room was warm and cosy and the hot bath was great after snowboarding on Cairngorm Mountain or hiking up the mountains.
The WiFi and TV worked perfectly well which was useful later in the evenings.
I didn't expect any food included, so it was a lovely surprise to find the breakfast room with coffee machine, juice cartons, pastries and cerial every morning.
The price was very reasonable and we are already planning a return trip.
The only down side was that it is a dog friendly hotel which meant that I did have to dodge two poops on the lawn area. In the hotel's defence, this is more a reflection of bad dog owners, rather than poor staff. It's just something to keep in mind if you bring children who would enjoy playing in this area.

This can be regarded as a superior hostel with hotel style en-suite rooms. The hotel is priced accordingly

Large garden
crofter block shared toilet were in a mess for a whole week. Tv had no channels.
3.6
nice clean suite in a quiet area.
Suited my needs for a quiet weekend away
restaurant was closed which meant I had to go elsewhere for an evening meal.
Breakfast facilities were provided & adequate.
3.6
A delightful situation. Good parking. In its own grounds. Room size and facilities were excellent. Help yourself breakfast was ok.
We got 14 emails about our booking. No one on reception. Difficult to access key etc. Distant phone call was difficult to understand. Thought the cost included the dog,but no!

the scenery, the room was warm. bed was comfortable.
no staff from the moment we arrived, our room was filthy bed hadn’t been changed the carpet was disgusting as were the walls , advertised restaurant/bar which their wasn’t , had to phone to get room changed which was a slight improvement but the bathroom had mould.
3.6
Warm room. Good wifi. Comfy bed. Good selection of coffee/tea in the room. Excellent view. Water pressure ok. Grab and go breakfast was ok (I do appreciate there are repairs going on and the restaurant is not available). Key collection/drop-off ok. Hopefully next year it'll be better as I really like the area.
This is my second stay. I expected the same conditions as on the first stay but was a bit disappointed. Dirty bathroom. Poor drainage. Noise from the neighbouring rooms. The carpet on the floor has seen better days. The desk is too high and crammed to do any useful work from. It's still confusing to locate the rooms. Please put up some signs/arrows around the parking/entrance area.
