lovely lovely staff, friendly, good food

Female staff and check in staff were like lovely and very helpful.
Older gentleman was quite condescending to the point I will not go back or recommend to anyone. It's a shame that one person let the experience down and tarnished the stay.Apart from him, the rest of the staff were great.

Comfortable, convenient, great meals and friendly staff. Nice view from the bedroom over the nearby fields.
Nothing in particular.

Warm welcome and a relaxed stay

Room was adequate for one night stay but not suitable for longer periods. Quite time of year to stay but was very pleasant
Bigger breakfast as quite small for cost

I would be too late for dinner due to a presentation I was doing at the Fleet Air Arm Museum and I requested that they do a sandwich and left it in my room. I got back to the hotel at about 1030 pm and there in my room was a very delicious ham and salad sandwich with crisps. Great that a place will go out of its way to help.
The bar coiuld have been open at 1030 pm!!!!

Situation of the hotel.
The light in the car park was very bright which meant the room was not dark but the light was good for security I guess.
It would have been nice to have a menu for breakfast to see what was available rather than being asked what we wanted to eat.

Lovely characterful hotel in a pleasant little village. Staff were pleasant and helpful overall. Very quiet place, which depending on your preference could be good or bad.
Despite having explicitly asked on check-in whether breakfast was included, and being told after a check that it was, I was charged for it on checkout and told it wasn't actually included. While the breakfast was nice, it distinctly lacked in quantity, especially for the price then charged.
I'm happy to pay for breakfast; I'm less happy to be explicitly told by one member of staff that I don't need to then charged for it by another.

Dinner limited choice but very good fish dish
Well cooked, quickly served English breakfast
Staff friendly and welcoming
Although the room was quiet, it was adjacent to quite a busy road. However, this did not affect sleep.
The building as old and the bedroom spacious. Some people might find the rather uneven floor diificult.

Countryside views, super friendly staff, and a peaceful atmosphere :-)
5 star accomodation - certainly exceeded my expectations.

The shower needed a rubber mat and the washbasin tap was very stiff

Very friendly and welcoming staff

Room was quiet and looking over the Courtyard garden.
Open ground at the rear of the hotel a place to sit and relax plus use of the Pergola.
At booking in, Front Desk Manager helpuful in advising alternative museum to visit as original museum was closed.
Meals were very good and breakfast ordering of meals excellent.
Nothing of note during my visit.
4.2
Breakfast was very nice and catered for my wheat and gluten allergy
Lighting was off on the staircase and hallway when we returned to our room in the evening and we could not find the switch to turn it on
4.2
The food at dinner was good.
The lack of a wine list and lack of knowledge of the wines they had. The waitress recommended her favourite bottle of red. the white wine was warm. At breakfast we were apalled by the service which was off-hand. There was no fruit of any kind on offer. The sausage was disgusting and the eggs were served on warm and soggy 'toast'.

I was staying here as a kind of emergency, needed somewhere for the night, the staff were great and the food was exceptionally good, in fact the food and atmosphere in the restaurant lifted my mood. This is a great place.
4.2
simple, clean and perfect for my needs. The owners even gave me a lift to the evening meal I was going to!

The size of breakfast was limited, very small for me,
The bar was closed because of a forthcoming wedding, that was not our concern, thought we were some of the wedding party, should have asked us at first sighting, I must say the visit to the Italian Resturant was first rate and service was very impressive, well done that establishment.
