I didn't have breakfast.
3.5
Location and the staff were great, the restaurant and bar was lovely as was breakfast
The room we were in was quite tired with curtains hanging off the rail
3.5
Friendly staff, close to the centre of town and clifton village.
Lift wasn't working but receptionist helped to carry my luggage upstairs
3.5
Value for money place for solo travellers that need a private place for accommodation and sleep. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The location is close to the centre.
Nothing special.
3.5
Excellent location. Very helpful staff. Noah and Africa who were on the desk were very accommodating and particularly helpful regarding parking.

The breakfast was good.
It is icy in the room since they turn off the heater in the middle of the night. Unbearable!
The room is small and the carpet overall is used long time and not looks very clean.

Good location.
Lovely big old building. But it’s a bit run down and shabby. There have been some attempts to update and modernise internally but done on the cheap and not very effective.
3.5
Excellent location as could walk to my course. The safe car parking meant I didn’t have to give the parking a second thought
Nothing

Friendly staff, good location and price
Little run down with paint peeling off the walls and what looked like mould in the shower

The best thing about the hotel is it's location. It's right in Clifton where we wanted to be and an easy walk into town. However,
The rooms are very small, cramped and stuffy. There's very little airflow and the bedding is too warm for hot summer days. You can open the window a tiny bit, which helps a little, but then you have the sound of the traffic just outside. Breakfast was ok, but very pricey for what you get. We were on the ground floor. Next time, I'd ask for a different room.

One unhelpful member of staff. Tarnishing what was absolutely amazing staff throughout.

The hotel was in a great location. Nice bit of Clifton, easy walk from the town centre, nice cafes nearby. Our room was big and comfortable.
All the good things about this hotel were kind of cancelled out by the awful smell that permeated our room. I think our room overlooked a kitchen vent?! Not sure. But it meant our room smelled disgusting the whole time. A really strong odour that made me feel quite ill by the third day.
3.5
The staff were very friendly very helpful and welcoming. It is good for one night stay if you're looking for something economical. They've made their best effort to make an old hotel comfortable.
It's obvious it is a very old hotel. The walls were very thin, I could hear the man next door snoring. The room was extremely warm even with the window open. And shower draining water properly, I was standing in a pool midway through my shower.

breakfast was excellent .Lots of choice and good quality products. and we could help ourselves to toast coffee etc. The staff were nice friendly and helpful. It was very useful to have a parking space and it would be good if there were more as only a very limited number . The clifton area is very nice and we found some good pubs nearby. we ate in the restaurant attached to the hotel Great food and excellent value and sells my favourite gin
there was only a bedside table on one side of the bed. Light came in through the curtains very early so darker/thicker curtains would be good. Bar across the road was noisy

Nothing was extremely dissapointed
Wood lice in bathroom. Sink wouldn't hold water.shower kept going cold.a loud buzzing noise at night and again at 6am! Creaky floorboards.stains on side of bed and sofa.half eaten apple behind sofa.needed a deep clean and thorough dust.nothing like the pictures on the site.cleanrrs came in whilst still getting ready to change pillows from old to brand new whoop whoop but b nicer to have waited til we weren't in room and just walking around us both.

Situated nicely, exterior of property very nice & inviting. Staff very friendly & helpful and bathroom nice.
The size of the bedroom, no air-con or ability to open a window ( although a fan was supplied). Bed old & uncomfortable.
3.5
Choice of breakfast and friendly staff and service room was spacious and very comfortable bed

Location good
Window was in a terrible state - marked old carpet - bed cover had blood on it! Bed base old & shabby - terrace had trash & cigarette butts on so unsightly. Kettle was limescaled - table sticky - room overall very tired - rest of hotel nice and friendly reception staff. Room needs attention - not worth money!

Everything! Building its character facilities location + period features too!

Room was clean with excellent facilities. Bed was extremely comfortable.
Really pleased with ground coffee in the room.
Shower slightly on the small side, but hot and good power, so was fine.
3.5
Bar facilities were superb. Great staff in the bar.
Headboard was damaged on arrival. Maintenance interrupted our settling In time to partially mend the damage only for it to fall off again in the middle of the night. Quite frankly the receptionists couldn't be less helpful.
3.5
It is well located
The room was very cold with terrible windows that let a breeze come in. Other people had the same experience

Racks bar & restaurant downstairs is great.

The receptionist Tom went out of his way to find us a taxi when the firm that he had booked for us got the time wrong. He rang several taxi firms to get us a taxi . Brilliant staff! Also, the breakfast was amazing.
