Perfect for stopping off before (or after) the train or ferry. They allow dogs. The place pretends to be nothing more than it is, which is equivalent to a solid 7/10. Dinner, however, didn't do it for us.
Dinner (except for the dessert)

La Sapiniere was so easy to find, a little gem not far from getting off at Calais. The welcome was warm and friendly and our accomodation(bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen) really spacious and well designed. The bed was really super comfortable and the whole place sparkling clean! We had a delicious supper and they payed special attention to my husband's fufficult dietary needs, all with a smile!

Convenient stop off before catching the ferry, about 15 minutes drive.
Great restaurant with views over the countryside.
Staff helpful.

We needed a hotel that had an open restaurant on a Sunday night near to Calais, unfortunately we found out after booking that the restaurant was closed, not a problem though because the hotel provided a delicious 3 course meal left in our fridge and ready to be put into the microwave when we wanted it. The room was the ground floor of a lodge building and was very comfortable and beautifully appointed with everything we needed for a great overnight stay, parking was easy as was access from the A26.
Less than 30 minutes from Calais.

A lovely, traditional hotel in an excellent location for anyone walking the Via Francigena. The reception staff were very polite and welcoming. I was offered a choice of bath or shower. The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. I had dinner in the restaurant. The food was very good. The waiting staff were very professional and attentive but not intrusive. The dining room was spacious with excellent views. Overall the hotel provided a calm and relaxing environment.
There was nothing to fault, however my personal preference would have been for a less formal environment.

We (family of four) stayed here twice, on the way to/from Paris travelling via the Chunnel. The property lived up to all the other positive reviews - lovely setting, nice functional kitchen, and comfortable beds. Staff was extremely helpful - both times they made up the sofa bed for us; and on our second visit, I had booked the wrong type of room and the staff switched us without any trouble. The person at the front desk spoke excellent English which was so helpful. Very clean and quite spacious rooms, easy drive to/from the Chunnel and lovely rural surrounds. Highly recommend and will stay again next time we're in France.

Excellent hôtel in a lively location just outside St Omer. My room was basic but large and spotless with excellent bathroom. The restaurant is very good with lovely views to St Omer. Staff very obliging - receptionist offered to drop my into St Omer. Right on the Francigena.

Very good position near the Channel Tunnel with safe parking on a secluded private estate.
We arrived to find our room cold with a radiator which did not work. We asked for another room but we were told that they were full so the receptionist tried to repair the radiator with no success. We were told that the owner would arrive soon with a heating engineer. We waited in the bar for nearly an hour until the owner arrived alone with an electric radiator to replace the broken radiator. We felt that he viewed this as an inconvenience since he had to leave a meeting and at no point did he apologise for the long delay whist we waited until we could use our room. At no time did he show any empathy with our discontent at the service he offered. We have stayed here many times in the past and have always stayed for dinner but have also found that the quality of this meal has declined over the last few visits. We have now found alternative accommodation for our many visits between France and England. Overnight accommodation and the quality of dinner does not match the cost they charge.

An excellent spacious self catering facility. Very well managed with easy parking and great WiFi
We will certainly stay here again.

The manager is so helpful and charming, taking lots of trouble to help us brits in perfect English.
The hotel is perfectly located 30 minutes from the tunnel and is very popular with a range of nationalities.
It is very dog friendly with grounds for a toilet stop and the village for short walks.

The location was perfect and the hotel and staff were superb. There was a good variety on the menu and wine list. The decor was attractive especially the coloured lights.
Only one main course, beef stew but maybe I didn't really understand what it was when I ordered it.

What a delightful hotel! Sited on a hill not far from and overlooking St Omer the hotel offers a tranquil setting and very spacious and comfortable rooms with a mix of accommodation in the main hotel building or in neat wooden chalets in the courtyard. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms modern. There is a lovely conservatory restaurant with views to the east over the plains of the pas de calais.
Nothing basically to complains about but what could be better? - the food. Breakfast was fine - a wide choice of cold options from a buffet including ham, cheese, cereals, fresh fruit, bread and croissants. There is home made jam too.
However dinner was hit and miss - some dishes such as autumn mushroom tart were very nice, but the fish dishes were, I felt, spoiled by serving sauce and fish together and the thick flour-based sauce (sauce vert) being 'interestingly' flavoured with, for example, dried tarragon rather than opting for fresh herbs (parsley, dill etc).

Nothing really
