Very dissatisfied

Location

The relaxing experience of my previous many visits, no longer possible in the very soulless “sports bar”. Design. Poor unhealthy choice of food. Badly cooked!! No quiet space to relax after a long day

Stightly overprised in my opinion.

Good location close to motorway. Rooms spacious. Staff helpful. Good quality breakfast.

No AC in rooms, uncomfortable during summer. No plug points near bedside. Only one lift. Long walk to rooms at end of corridor.

Friendly, comfy and relaxing. Great facilities!

Reception was open and friendly. Staff was helpful and very engaging. We had food at the restaurant and had a couple of drinks, atmosphere was relax and felt completely safe and comfortable. Rooms was clean and décor was homely. Bed was so comfy and very big! Excellent cannot fault it in any way!

Great location, lovely hotel facilities all round worth the stay

Breakfast was great large selection friendly helpful staff. Gym was an added bonus. Beds could of been more comfortable but all In all a good stay also great lively bar and good music

Awful, restless disappointed

Extremely disappointed I booked my stay on 6th May fir one night , through out the night I could hear banging and group of others staying running up and down the corridor. Getting in contact with the staff was very difficult when finally I did get through and complained this did stop the noise. I had to get out of my bed to go down stairs at 1.30 to un help staff and I was promised half of my money back my night duty manager . On 7th May when I checked out I was promised that I should get my refund within 5 working days till date no refund has come my account . I contacted booking.com as the booking was through them they also tried only to get declined so disappointed that Village hotel lies to its customers. Please if you have a issue get it in writing or record the conversation as they only lie . Will never recommend anyone .. door are so noisy you can hear people walking floor above worse sleep I ever had after paying £138 for the night better to sleep In my car

Staff need to stop chatting when customer walk in and instead pay intention to their customers!

lovely hotel , friendly staff.

breakfast there was no choice of eggs only scrambled. I asked for banana and they was none in the kitchen. Yoghurt was put on little pots but not covered. breakfast was cold. mixed berries are so naturally sour but no flavoured yoghurt as an option.

Good hotel for visiting Walsall

Close to motorway and easy to find, friendly staff check in was easy and the facilities were excellent. Big TV and a good selection of channels,

A good find

Breakfast good, nothing fancy but everything you needed and easy to serve and sit.

The signage was difficult to see in the dark. I ended up in the staff carpark at first.

Staff, cleanliness, noise, location, the price for what you got. Shower also leaked every time you used it. When we arrived, they said we didn't have breakfast or use of facilities like our booking said we would.

The stay was okay, but I doubt I'd recommend.

Great location, staff were friendly.

Supposed to have sky TV but no remote. Shower floor was a terrible design, water flowed straight out of the shower and onto the bathroom floor and I slipped on the wet at one point. We were NOT informed that a fire alarm test takes place on Fridays, nor was it written anywhere in the room (like on the fire escape diagram on the door) so we were concerned when a fire alarm came on, without knowing whether it was genuine or not. Two days into our stay, we were informed that they had just started charging for towels in the gym facility on that date. There was no "from this date onward", just a sudden charge. There were signs in the carpark to scan a qr code to pay for parking, however, using that website, the parking was actually more expensive than using the machine inside. The carpets were pretty disgusting. Badly stained all round. The lighting was odd. A light by the door, and then a lamp and a small wall light. At night it really wasn't bright enough to see what we were doing properly. Our room was cleaned and coffee/tea/sugar/milk was replenished, but the cups and spoons weren't replaced so unfortunately we were stuck with dirty cups for 5 days. The room was warm so I got the fan down from the shelf above the hangers. Unfortunately that shelf was covered in so much dust, so I was then also covered in said dust, which was unpleasant.
