clean
dark and in need of a redo.
a little far out from the town

it was a good location
very tired looking and expensive considering it’s condition

Staff were friendly, just a standard hotel, room furnishings were a bit dated. But think where you are….
Nothing….

We enjoyed having breakfast as part of our stay. The rooms were spacious.
The hotel is old and tired. It was very dark in the hallways. It could use some updating.
3.6
Clean rooms, quiet, close to centre of Lerwick with adequate parking. The croissants were large and very fresh.
One of the mattresses needed replacing in the disabled room, a hairdryer in one of the rooms did not work, the decor was very brown and needed an update.
It was expensive and Breakfast was better in a less expensive chain. It would have been nice to see that they were supporting local farms/ butchers but the sausages were clearly not local and were not good quality.

Fine. Good service.
Hot toast, hot beverages. Food could have been warmer. Felt like it was all prepared in advance, rather than to order.

Spacious room. Helpful staff
Uncomfortable mattress

Our room ran out of hot water. Twice. Seems to use a personal hot tank for each room and ours was troublesome.

Gentleman in the restaurant was very helpful.
Cleanliness, very dusty and corridors and furniture were very dated. Not all lights were working in our room either.
3.6
Staff were more than helpful. Friendly and pleasant at all times.
Hair dryer - one of those that don't have a very long lead which then fall off the table if you move too far way, and the type that you have to keep your finger on the button or it stops. A very small complaint, but sometimes these small issues can be fixed.

comfortable room, room service available

Ideal location for ferry, staff friendly and accommodating. Restaurant food very good
The sports bar is still closed

The staff were helpful. Magdalena (I think that's how it is spelt, my apologies if not to the young lady) who works in the restaurant/bar just seemed to be non stop and went above and beyond to help. Room was clean. Well located in Lerwick right opposite the ferry terminal. Free WiFi throughout hotel and surprisingly quite good. I would stay again as hotels are a bit limited in Lerwick and surrounding area
Hotel is dated, could do with modernisation. The corridors leading to the rooms are painted red. A splash of a brighter colour would help! Apart from the young lady mentioned above, the other staff didn't quite get the bar/food orders right sometimes.

standard i would expect, it did what it said. Out of season so as with all business covid is a problem as is getting staff. the people there did a good job. Have done a test since returning and it proved negative.
Didn,t take any notice was there to switch of so thats what i did

This is a hotel that has seen better days. The reception insisted that we could only check in after 14:00 hours and when it was that time they did not have a room ready because it was still being cleaned by staff. WE finally managed to get in an hour after the check-in time. The corridor leading to our room is almost without any light, so it was difficult to open the room. Breakfast is fine with a very perky Portuguese lady from Lisbon brightening up the day. The hotel serves kippers.
The lack of light in the corridor leading to our room.

retro corridor. Really nice staff.

Location to Ferry excellent (but about 1m from centre of Lerwick)
Car parking very good.
Tea & coffee facilities
Shower cut off on our second night and stopped dispensing water.
The “suite” aspect of the room was not used it was merely a meeting room come lounge in an adjoining room, stains were on the arm chair so not very inviting.
Although we paid at dinner for our food & drinks on the evening we were attempted to be charged for someone else’s food when we checked out - thankfully we had a receipt or it could have been awkward.
The waitress on the second morning was grumpy and left us unattended at the waiting point even after acknowledging us a few minutes earlier.
The butter and honey on the buffet table were in direct sunlight and as such the butter had melted and the honey had crystallised so some thought should be given to how good is displayed to remain fresh and avoid waste.
Whilst I accept it must be difficult to keep the windows clear of bird poo and general dust and grime - the cleanliness was disappointing.
Based on my experience I would look elsewhere when visiting Lerwick again.

Room was adequate for my needs, location was great, staff really helpful, an outstanding breakfast on both mornings I stayed. Evening meal was very nice too.
Room decor is dated, single beds provided in my room were old fashioned sprung mattresses, one very hard and one very soft not to the usual spec I'm used to from Premier Inn. Bathroom sink cracked across the middle but still usable. Tiles in bathroom also cracked.
3.6
Sliding door to bathroom didn’t slide.
3.6
Breakfast had plenty of selection with cooked breakfast excellent
Dinner had great choice and all meals exceeded expectations
Room was as you would expect for a hotel, clean, tidy with usual amenities
Corridors could do with a spruce up, a little dull so could do with a lighter paint choice
