The food was awful. When we arrived there was no food being served for lunch. The room wasn’t the cleanest. Reception staff were never there. The phone in the room didn’t work. We were told breakfast was served until 11 but it finished at 10.

The grounds where beautiful, staff and owner very friendly food was delicious rooms where very clean and spacious bed was very comfortable.
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property there is just one little thing the toilet paper had not been replenished in our room and was a very small amount on it only enough for one trip to the toilet and there wasn’t another to replace it but no other fault.

Nice hotel and staff. My room was pretty big a lot of room and big bed. I had travelled from South Yorkshire for a engagement party to stay over night.
Room was a little dated and old for the money paid for just one night. Was expecting more modern like the rest of the hotel. Drinks were a little to pricey too, nearly £6 for a pint.

very nice location quiet easy to find

Nice rooms, cozy bar and good breakfast. Quiet location.

lovely garden and pond area. nice bar. food was good and menu very good- tempted by so many dishes. staff mostly friendly but one of the breakfast staff was “cooler” and almost disinterested at times.
the rooms were boiling hot, even with the windows open. And someone who was presumably a staff member or possibly even the owner, drove up every morning outside our room near the electric chargers in a Porche which was SO loud and revved and idled it for several minutes before entering the hotel by the back fire exit whose door crashed shut with such a bang it was shudderingly loud as well. such inconsiderate behaviour for a staff member or owner… and they were starting work at SIX am!!!

Everything. The building is lovely. The pond and garden area are very peaceful. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The room was comfortable and well appointed. We chose to have our evening meal there and it was excellent.
Breakfast was very good too.
It is a peaceful and relaxing time, so one night felt like we had a weeks break.
Ample car parking too.
Nothing.

Breakfast was great
My room was cold when I arrived, took a while for heating to come on. I was in room 22. Room next door had a noisy fan.

Very good, bought us fresh pastries although we were almost last to have breakfast. Wifi very easy to use & free.
Shower very good.
A shelf in the bathroom to put toilet bags on would be useful

Hotel was good location easy to get to staff was ok not seen much of them, all in all thought the hotel was just above average
Breakfast was cold, and thought is was por quality to what you paid, the bar staff was a little joung and struggled to keep up with demand, and had to complain over a poor quality drink, but nothing was done about it.

Lovely grounds, plenty of parking, clean, nice bedroom.
Sausages at breakfast weren’t very nice.

The room was clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. Thank you!

The room was superb although getting a little dated especially the bathroom but it didn't spoilt the night away. Food was superb and the staff were very friendly. We are thinking of coming back at New Year's Eve to sample the New Year's Eve celebrations. Breakfast was great too.
The only thing I would say is that the rooms and bathroom are a little dated and probably need updated soon but apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Friendly, comfortable hotel with spacious rooms and an extensive breakfast. They did a good job of accommodating us (including my allergies) and our pre-schooler. Our room was calm and quiet despite the hotel hosting a wedding.
Small points but I would have liked access to a mini fridge to store snacks for long journeys. The bathroom had a couple of small maintenance issues and could have done with a quieter shower and fan. We found the room temperature varied, and I overheard other guests saying they had been hot.
4.1
Comfort of the rooms
Many passing comments about ordering food after 8pm even though they serve until 9pm
