Nice small hotel in the middle of Auckland

The location of the hotel is excellent, you are right away in the middle of the city. Despite this you heard no noise from outside. We had a superior room, very spacious. Nice small restaurant, bar

My regular go to in Auckland cbd nice staff reliable and big rooms.

This is the best hotel to stay at in the cbd - the rooms are large and it’s a little tired inside now but overall best value in its class.

Decor needs refreshing.

Spacious beautiful room. Amazing bathrooms. Immaculate. Great hotel bar that feels intimate. Lovely hotel staff.

Slow wifi. TV installed miles away from bed and was quite small.

Overall a very pleasant experience

We did not have breakfast at the facility, the room was very comfortable as were the beds.

We pre ordered milk and news papers prior to our trip neither of these were delivered. We had to ask for milk when we realised there was non.

Fun, inviting and friendly.

Privacy and comfort of the rooms was important. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The qwerky retro furnishings added a really nice touch to the rooms and to the rest of the hotel.

The restaurant experience was haphazard. The staff were friendly, but the food barely adequate. The fish was smelly and the spare ribs overcooked. I'd recommend the Le Chef restaurant in Vulcan Lane around the corner. The house bar closed at 9:30pm, but it was a quiet night.

Luxury, colour and style in an ideal location

Our room was the antithesis of a characterless mainstream hotel experience. Loved the use of colour and luxury finishes throughout. Our room was charming with many extra touches and the bed was large and comfortable. The location was ideal and staff were friendly.

The lack of inexpensive parking on site - however parking is often a problem in inner city hotels so this isn’t a complaint

Super central. Pricey but worth it!

Lovely bathroom - tub and shower. Bed had THE most comfortable pillows!

Got a drink voucher at front desk but wasn’t told it was for a house wine or beer only. Was nice to get the voucher but wanted a cocktail so didn’t use.

Room was lovely but the service and amenities have taken a plunge down, won’t be back sorry.

Deluxe room is lovely, so comfy and welcoming, good choices in mini bar. Room itself is so nice and loved the artwork.

Shower head wasn’t fully attached in shower. Welcome drink no longer a cocktail now just a wine or beer. Bar didn’t have anyone manning it for a Friday night, surprising. Had to go to kitchen for a drink. Tables hadn’t been cleared and looked to be sitting for awhile. When called down for a taxi there wasn’t good communication for an eta so we left and walked down the street to find one ourselves. Corner bar drinks weren’t mixed properly, no care really taken.

Great location in heart of Central Business District.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Room was light, bright, and very comfortable. The bed had nice firm mattress and good pillows. It was quiet and well appointed. Clean and comfortable. Great location - lots of nice restaurants in close walking distance, within a few blocks. Great shopping nearby too.

Superb

We stayed at the Hotel DeBrett over NYE - Good facilities and loved the beautiful old staircase. The rooms were comfortable and clean and quiet. The only let down was the air-con was not working and the room was very warm which they tried to help by providing a fan - but it would have been better to have been informed of this prior and not once we were in the room. Staff all lovely, and fantastic food at the restaurant.

Parking off-site is a little inconvenient but not a deal-breaker.

Exceptional

Location Location Location Our room was an upper corner room facing the street and it was Truly Quiet-the best window soundproofing I have seen in a long time. It had wonderful natural light too. Spacious and VERY comfortable bed. Gracious staff. Nice having both a bar and a restaurant on site. Lovely cheese board available.

Staff was exceptionally helpful

One of the most comfortable stays we have had.

Everything about the hotel is to provide comfort to the guests. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. We arrived very early and they got our room ready early also upgrading the room for us at no extra cost. We had issues with our shuttle service and Nicole went out of her way to help us resolve the problem. The quietest room we have stayed in in a center of a city.

Excellent Location. Staff and service. Bathroom. Very easy to get a taxi.

Room could be slightly bigger with storage for clothes. There was no cafetiere coffee even though there was a cafetiere. The bar closed a bit early. Breakfast quality was average.

Quirky, luxury boutique hotel in a great location.

I arrived very late late and was welcomed warmly by reception staff. I was also upgraded to a much larger room. The bed was super comfortable and the tea selection was perfect. This is the second time I have stayed at this lovely boutique hotel and I highly recommend a stay here.
