a dirty dirty place absolutely putrid
the resort was a dirty dump, I wouldn't let my dog stay there

A beautiful secluded spot. The ranges all around you. The room was a good size and stunning views. Price incl breakfast so thats good
The whole place needs some major TLC. It's very outdated. The carpets have stains and look like it's the same 1s from the 80s. The parking is shocking way to small. There are lamps along the long driveway but none of them were alit at night. Just the small things that have been missed.

The overall service was very nice, and the breakfast included in the deal was also great! We enjoyed our stay.

Really lovely staff helped us postpone for a week at the last minute when our baby fell ill

The location is excellent, overlooking a beautiful rainforest with the city view in the distance, loved both views of the city on a clear day and also loved the morning mist.
Room is spacious and comfortable, so is the bed, very clean and tidy. The resort itself had a lot of character.
If you are looking for a retreat, Waitakere resort and spa is the place you want to be.
The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Really enjoyed the breakfast it was delicious.

location is amazing, the staff are really nice.
In this particular apartment the heaters didnt work properly, there was not enough tea/coffee for 2 people and limited bath product for 2.

Peaceful!!!
Loved the location and the views are to die for!!! Beautiful food but fish was over cooked sadly 😞 Lovely staff and very helpful.
We stayed in the apartment with Spa and we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the apartment. The curtains were ripped, windows were dirty, upon arrival the door was wide open and stove was left on due to being faulty. No tv in room as advertised, major disappointment! water was all brown I suspect from flooding, so spa wasn’t used at all. Highly disappointed!!!

the price for one night room quite expensive

Spectacular views of Auckland and a harbour while on a high ridge surrounded by bush.
Caring staff and a clean room with a balcony overlooking a pool.
Bed too comfortable as I over slept by 3 hours.
Auckland roads with its many road cones.

The area was amazing, the staff were very friendly and nice, we had a mishap with our room and the manager was very accommodating, we did have to downsize but he came to apologise and offered us a complimentary breakfast, which he reserved our table for us, and a discount on the room, thank you for the awesome service.
nothing everything was great

loved almost every thing about this property. magnificent views over Auckland, the room size, the balcony, the bedding - best we had in our 4 week holiday
the drive in and out was a bit hair raising

The hotel is off the beaten path, which was nice. My van was too big to park at the top lit, so I parked in the lower and walked up.
I was given a nice room, with a balcony and view; excellent!
The staff members are friendly and helpful
The plumbing in the bathroom is off a bit. The sink sprays everywhere, and there were two shower drains, one in the shower and one outside and bubbles came up the outside one.
The coffee was not good. They tried, but it is very weak.

Stunning views over Auckland from the executive room we had, with a very comfortable bed.
Disappointed at the television options available. Only free to air tv, no Netflix or other streaming services. Had to watch on our iPad. The bathroom in our unit lacked anywhere in the shower cubicle to rest your soap or shampoo meaning the floor was the only option. The toiletries supplied had only one sachet of conditioner but no shampoo so unless you had brought your own hair washing wasn’t an option.

Premium room has a stunning view, the personell was friendly and professional, great place for easy hiking. Dinner choice and quality of food is very good.

+ 11/10 for the GM Duncan. Our arrival was impacted by the Auckland floods, with ETA that kept changing. Superb communication from Duncan, who also stayed past midnight to eventually check us in, and went out to the streets and gave us detailed road condition information
+ great staff with good attitude, even though the floods impacted them too
+ strongly recommend the breakfast package, comes with continental and hot breakfast order
+ fantastic location in the ranges with beautiful views all round
+ nice gardens on site and good walking tracks
+ great facilities (restaurant, lounge, pool, gym, sauna). we stayed on site most of a long weekend
+ away from the hustle, but there is a lovely restaurant only 5 mins drive away if you wanted variety from the on site restaurant
- we were in the loft room and downside of heritage building is sound insulation was quite poor. We could clearly hear the TV from next door. The room was also on top of the restaurant so we heard sounds from there all day, as well as the loud clinking of metal cutlery from clean up after dinner
- personally not a fan of the shutter window in the bathroom as moths and bugs manage to find their way in even with it shut
- limited car parking at both the top and lower carparks which have easy access into the building. This meant during evenings restaurant guests occupied many spaces, leaving hotel guests to park in overflow and having to carry our bags

The location is a bit remote, but that’s one of the benefits. The food and staff were excellent.

would be nice in Auckland summers to have air conditioning

Unfortunately the weather was very bad and no views, so one day we will come back on a fine weekend

Fabulous bush location.
Decor a mix of very tired and shabby with some updated fitting. A leak had saturated carpet in the wardrobe giving the whole unit a musty wet wool smell.

We have stayed here a few times now and it never disappoints. The premier rooms are beautiful with an amazing view. Great value for money. Dinner at the restaurant was exceptional. Highly recommend!
Nothing. Everything was perfect.

top location and lovely interior
one of our rooms had a very cramped toilet/bathroom

It was clean and warm especially with the rain outside. The massage and the spa were wonderful
Went for dinner and 2 of the meals we ordered were not available, so we had to drive into town. If the driveway can be better lit. Also if the pool and the walks can be accessed in the rain as well.

loved the view from our room
