Centrally located and accessible on foot to many attractions and restaurants
Hills to access. But it was a good workout all the same.

Postion and facilities.
Depends on where are you staying, but to walk from one reception to other, beacuse one does not work in afternoon is a bit too much. Check in is at one reception but your room is like long walk with up and down to completely other side, where they have reception, but does not work.

Always liked this place. Beautifully laid out & deluxe rooms are best
Usual Bali faults. Electrics like fans in bathroom not working but most of the time it’s great. Breakfast could be a step up market. Ran out of some food when it got busy.

A great layout with groups of rooms spread out through the property. Set well back from the road so very quiet.
The hotel staff were excellent.

Staff, breakfast, gardens, pool all great.
Our bathroom was not so good. The shower was over a very tall bath and therefore dangerous to get in and out. There were 25 floor tiles missing around the edges of the room which looks unsightly.
The property has a lovely creek running through it, but very was very steep inclines to walk to and from breakfast area. Not ideal for elderly patrons and would be dangerous during wet weather.

Excellent location in the centre of town. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and other attractions. Beautifully landscaped grounds and quite peaceful considering location. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Couldn’t lock my villa doors.

beautiful staff clean room, close to everything
leaking water from wall in bathroom in my room, very dark lighting around property dangerous at night staircases hard to see in dark.

Location to Monkey Forrest road is excellent. The hottest water in Bali.
Long walk/steep paths(potentially slippery)to pool and restaurant depending upon your rooms location. If you are up the Monkey Forrest road end, the local bars night time music might annoy you. Watch out for the monkeys coming in to raid your outdoor table.

Nice central location in Ubud and has a nice pool.
Lots of bars and restaurants around the location.
The room was dark and a bit outdated. We had two rooms next to each other. In one of the room the AC was really loud that we can't sleep and on the next day there was a leak in the toilet, the staff were friendly and had us moved to another room. Nevertheless it was very inconvenient.
In the pictures (booking.com) the hotel shows you a really cool bar, this is NOT part of the hotel. So it is very misleading, especially when you are expecting a nice bar at the hotel.
And, awkward location of the light switches.

The location of this hotel is very good.
The hotel area was really beautiful and the nature/garden area was amazing. Pretty pool and nice rooms.
We got upgraded and the view from our room was very nice.
The breakfast buffe was a disappointment. We could hardly find one thing we wanted to eat. The vegetables and fruits seemed to be way too hot in the sun.

Staff very helpful and accommodating.
The worst 😫 beds in Bali. I have huge bruises on my hips a week after my stay still!!!! Please 🙏 add some extra foam underlays. 🙏

- Staff: Exceptionally accommodating, friendly, all smiles
- Location: 10 to 15 min walk to the Ubud Market and Ubud Palace, 10 min walk to Monkey Forest. Lotsa charming shops and cafe/restaurants especially from the Monkey Forest Road entrance (the property has 2 entrances: one on the Monkey Forest Road, one on the Bisma Road. If you book a villa with pool, you’ll be closer to the Bisma Road entrance which you can check out from)
- Villa compound: quite spacious, beautiful landscaping and built
- Small animals: we were okay with having seen frogs, ants, small lizards etc. as we understand that the villa is exposed to the natural elements. for mosquitoes, you can switch on the electronic repellent provided. However we got a little uncomfortable when the ant/some insects starting to build some sort of a nest on the sink in the bathroom
- Dustbins quite small
- Breakfast selection could be better
- Slippery, hilly road from the reception to the villa at the back. Fell down once
- Swimming pool: insufficient ladder, could be a bit difficult to climb back up

location and gardens
property is a bit tired. bathrooms need renovation. wifi is very poor. pool at Monkey Forest entrance not part of property anymore. apparently guests can use until 5pm, however when I went to use it the restaurant staff didn’t seem happy and there were no chairs or lounges available, so I didn’t end up using it.

Second time at Pertiwi. Not completely open yet after a long covid shutdown but our villa was good. Breakfast was lovely.
Our villa pool was cloudy & contained silt. We understood recent rain had flooded the pool however we did ask to have it cleaned (vacuumed) which didnt happen. Paid for a pool villa that we actually couldnt use.

Only if you book villa you may be ok with the room you booked. We book super deluxe room and it was full of mold, smell terrible and with cockroaches. Hotel team help us to move to a villa and we sleep well there but then they move us again to another room which was average and the bathtub gets blocked with simple shower. Location of the hotel is good if your room is near monkey forest street. If not, you have to walk and there are quite hilly areas which are a problem for people with some difficulty to move.
