Location was excellent, close to the city CBD. Pool was great for lane swims good to have a Sauna also. Good security and conscientious staff regarding security.
Room was tired compared to images, particularly the bathroom. No Iron or board in room. Electric lights and sockets were intermittent. Gym equipment was in various stages of disrepair.

Good location, can walk into centre or catch the tram. Handy parking for an extra fee, easy to set up at reception. Spacious apartment.
Not the most well equipped, missing a few essential cooking wise.

Location was the only plus
This property false advertised the room/ what we got was not what was pictured. The room itself was very dirty and the furniture was unclean. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 people and expecting a double and two singles and was given beds with 3 capacity double and one single. We were advised we needed to pay $40 for early check in and hold our bags - and in doing so our apartment was downgraded due to our apartment not being ready. We had a maintenance man come through to view our room and look at it claiming to help - but then was unable to provide any assistance whatsoever. If felt like they were casing the apartment. This man also validated we had been downgraded from the apartment we booked. We told reception about the experience and they offered a late check out at 12 and voucher for the cafe: well the cafe was independently owned and was unable to honour this - our late check out had our keys lock us out of the building and apartment at 10am.
This place appeared to be filled with drug users whom gave a bad vibe. The cleanliness was disgusting - carpet left my sons feet actually black after walking around in it
Booking for 4 there were not enough chairs m, cups, cutlery towels, beds or anything else to serve us. This property is false advertising, filthy, staff are questionable non their well dressed attire : I am furious that this property is allowed to get away with this and booking.com supports their business. My son vomited like crazy after leaving - I can only assume from rolling around on the black stained grey carpet. Refund is in order - disgusting.

The location is great and convenient, hotel is very clean. Price is very affordable value for money.
It’s slightly noisy with tram but we don’t really mind it at all cos doesn’t bother us as much.

Closer to the public transport
The house wasn’t clean at all

The location was good
The staff were rude. The description did not match and it was dirty. The doona was a king single on a queen bed. Very noisy, no block out blinds for sun and overall just a bad experience. Staff couldn’t care less when spoken to about the issue
6.0
Good location and did technically sleep 4-5 people.
Do you love patchy apartments and dirty showers with mold and crusty dust? Then this is the apartment for you.
We got room 306 and pretty sure its an indication of how many wall patches have been painted over. Pictures don't match the apartment. Also - water gets all over the floor even with shower door closed correctly. Just leaks from somewhere
Theres no space for you to open a regular large suitcase let alone 4 suitcases. Sleeping on the couch is only applicable if you love a plank to sleep on an are 5.5 or shorter. Linen clean -everything else - questionable. Each room is an awkward shape and hard to manoeuvre around in. If you are a larger human being don't book this unless you're desperate. You won't be able to get around at all.
If you have a large car - don't park in the car park unless you're about 3 inches wide - as each car park is VERY narrow and difficult to get in an out of. I have a subaru outback and it was a tight squeeze just for the car - let alone an adult human getting out of the car. NO where to park initially to get the key to check in and car parking access. Also - have to get out of the car to swipe the pass to get out of the car park. Not easy for an elderly person to do who may have mobility issues as you're car is on an angle at the same time and have a short time window. Couldn't find the extra facilities as they were in another building away from the apartment.

location great, room was really large for four males, the four beds were comfortable, area on 10th floor was quiet. good view of the swimming pool. to cold to try lol

The location
It was very dated and bathrooms were very old looking and broken shower doors and the shower heads always fell down when you turned the water on …walls and couches were dirty . Nothing like the website page pictures .

Staying at Arrow recently brought back a flood of fond memories from my time as a student there 17 years ago. Back then, it was a vibrant hub of activity with warm and welcoming staff. The café was a favorite spot, and the events hall where I attended church added a sense of community. Choosing Arrow for my recent accommodation was a nostalgic decision. The location remains unbeatable, with easy access to the delightful eateries on Lygon Street, the bustling QV markets, and the city center. The tram stop right outside the door is incredibly convenient for getting around. Arrow’s charm and strategic location continue to make it a great choice.
I recently revisited Arrow after many years and was disappointed to see its decline. The once vibrant and lively place that I remembered has now become tired and neglected. The facilities appear outdated, and cleanliness seems to be no longer a priority. It's as if the management has given up. My past experiences at Arrow were filled with energy and excitement, but this time, it felt distant and lackluster. It's disheartening to see a place that once thrived now struggling to maintain its former glory. While some staff were helpful, others were not so friendly and came across as unnecessarily stern. On a brighter note, the multicultural housekeeping staff stood out for their accommodating and helpful attitude, which provided a much-needed positive touch to my stay.

Nothing
It was old, smelt like urine and was run down
6.0
Parking
The Room are only serviced every 3 days.
The Property doesn't accept packages. As a rep this is a concern as I need to receive samples from interstate.
The Rooms are loud due to the trams. The Pool dosnt open till 9am! Which means I cant exercise before work.

Location. Good value for money
We were staying in other part of hotel which seemed to have an unpleasant smell in corridors.
The smell of cooking wafted up to room in early hours of morning.
4.0
The Reception area
The beds don’t have wheels, so kept rolling about the place.
Cracked window sill.
Light bulb in side lamp didn’t work.

um,where to start……no lift to multi storey car park, you walk down or up the same route as cars.Fairly risky.. room about the size of an esky.. for three people nut the sliding doors would not close because the bed was too long for the space. Top location Lygon St literally a few minutes walk and Tram stop right outside the door. coffee shop closed for the weekend.. All in all nit highly recommendable

The appliances were dangerously damaged, the room was dirty, the TV had no reception, the staff were rude and unpleasant and unhelpful.

There was nothing I liked
We had someone screaming from 8pm until 4am in the morning my kids were scared it sounded like domestic violence. And my kids had no sleep they did move us rooms to a two bedroom apartment that was so small and only had a double bed in one room and a single bed in the other room. If you had four people staying there, the two kids would not fit. We went there with one teenager and a baby and the babies Portable cot barely fitted in there. Was very disappointed with this.

Location is great. Having the kitchenette and fridge is great.
Television did not work, bathroom was very tired (broken tiles, stained toilet).
1.0
Room is nothing like in the pics they show on booking.com. The room was tiny, filthy and gross. Our tv was at the end of the bed behind a fridge with microwave on top. We had to share an elevator with an over flowing rubbish bin and all you can smell throughout the property is dirty rubbish. I ended up asking for my money back and staying elsewhere.
The whole lot!
1.0
Nothing. I literally like nothing about this property.
The rooms are small. I paid for a deluxe two bedroom and was placed in a smaller room. No refund. The first room they gave me had a bidet hose for the shower! No shower rose just a bidet hose with a trigger nozzle. The second room they gave me had someone already living in it!
Have emailed a number of times for a partial refund and they just ignore me.

Nothing at all.!
No lifts from car park to reception, no walk through from one Building the other to get to our room.
Staff were rude & unhelpful.
Dirty, cockroaches, no toiletries, no dishwashing liquid, no tea coffee or milk, no baby cot as requested.

Loved the location
The couch bed wasn’t comfortable at all.

Prices at the Arrow are usually good
Rented an two bedroom apartment the second bedroom did not even have enough room to get dressed in it was supposed to have a couch that folded down into a bed but it was not even big enough for the two guys sharing to sit on without invading each others personal space

We liked nothing
The room looks NOTHING like it does on Booking.com. We were suppose to have a queen bed we got 2 single beds in 2 very small rooms. The shower screen was broken and the shower was so small barely fit a person in.
Kitchen towel hanger was half of the wall broken.
The view was terrible down a dirty alley way. There was cables drapped over a door for the tv anntena and another one.
The hotel it self is dirty and grotty, when you wait for the lift down it smelt of the rubbish shoot. It was disgusting and we were not the only guests complaining of this.
I compained to reception they did not care about any of the above.
5.0
convenient location and it was cheap
difficulty in communicating with the staff at reception, it felt like it was everyones first day and English wasnt anyones first language. I had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed but was told there wasn't any other spare pillows in the entire hotel when I asked for an extra one.
4.0
the hotel was close to the concert we attended
there were 3 adults sharing a room we were given only 1 key...there where only 2 coffee mugs we asked for an extra 1 & were told no...we asked for clean towels & got told no & our room was not cleaned
4.0
The staff were nice.
Everything else, the smells were not great. Getting to the pool we wanted to vomit. It was advertised as “luxury accommodation” & it was far from that. It was more like a hallway than an apartment. The pictures on the website were nothing like reality.

Location
It was dirty.
Some of the staff were rude, some were fine.
The bedroom was tiny and you could only just walk around the bed.
4.0
Great location & well-priced.
There were no curtains or blinds to block out the morning sun in the bedroom or the loungeroom.
The blinds in place were day blinds only - I could see where the night blinds should have been but they were not there.
Not great during Summer when the sun rises around 6am!

Not much at all
The property was not as shown in photos. The bedding was poor, the crockery in the kitchen looked like they had got from the op shop, there was very poor maintenance on the room and did not stay at “Arrow on Swanston”. Very dissatisfying and would never recommend
5.0
Very dirty inside room foyer and entrance

Location is quite close to Melbourne Central and RMIT. Perhaps do a refined search within another km for a better comfortability. Room is pretty compact size. Bed is okay for a couple of nights.
Carpark head height clearance was less than 2.1m and not free of charge even replied me accepted on booking, only knew it declined on arrival.
Not suitable for four-wheel drive, find your parking spot somewhere else. Bins sat next to rear entrance with smelly water puddles. Lift lobby was smelly, seemed coming out from Refuse Chute Room.
Reception staffs had no smile, seemed reflecting the management from my travelling experience.
10.0
Very quiet apartment, clean, convenient location and comfortable bed.
Going to the gym/sauna meant going through a passage way with smelly bins.
8.0
Room was perfectly located in the heart of Melbourne. Bed was very comfortable, kitchenette very well equipped.
It contained all the amenities we need for a very short stay
Maybe having a direct access to the parking lot from the main building would be a plus - but luckily we didn't have too many luggage and could manage to walk the short distance to the parking lot

Not much… photos of room look much better than reality ..
The staff were difficult,on checkin was accosted and nearly refused as didn’t have photo ID as due to an injury have no driver’s license, took 15 minutes and felt awful the way I was treated ,even though had same card booked with ,Medicare card and 4 other cards in my name … finally passed the ridiculous test
the room I booked and payed extra for as was 3 single beds ,was not the room given !! Had paid extra for the 3 bed deluxe apartment was given a very basic room with just a double bed … the rooms are quite depressing with not even a usb plug to charge phone .
Give it a miss .. never going back

There was a mouse in our room

It was just what was stated on the booking
very cramped but again it was just as what was stated
2.0
The location was fine _ just one stop away from the free tram zone and handy to the CBD. More specifically, though, the street was very noisy, so the location at the Swanston St side of the property was not ideal.
The beds were comfortable.
There was a dining table
The photographs on the site bear NO resemblance to the actual room. The accommodation is in a separate building from reception.
There were so many problems, and no phone to report them.
re: Facilities
Small, badly designed layout. Advertised for four people, the 'apartment was cramped for two.
Tiny balcony. Beneath it was a variety of discarded items... from jeans and underwear to socks and plastic bags (read 'junk pile'), obviously thrown (blown?) from balcony.
Bed was pushed against the wall, side table sat in front of 'wardrobe'
Hard, uncomfortable, stained sofa bed in living area.
Small shower; shower head positioned for those 158cm and under.
Totally insufficient crockery (e.g. 1 bowl, no microwave-friendly cooking receptacles).
Kitchen sink plug didn't fit; couldn't fill sink to wash dishes**
No tea towel**
No hairdryer**
One set of 'free toiletries' (2X shampoo and shower gel) for whole stay)**
Milk serves (enough for one day only)
re: Cleanliness
Dust and dirt behind and under bed and sofa**
Mouldy grouting in shower**
Dirty frypan
re: Service
Total service consisted of 1 visit to bring towels and tea towel for whole 4-day stay. No cleaning and no replenishment of anything (milk, toiletries etc)
I mention these problems in a review because they were not addressed during our stay. If I had read a review like this, I would not have booked this accommodation.
** (as above) These were items I politely brought to the attention of the staff at reception. We were told everything would be attended to.
We received a tea towel and a hairdryer.
The 'Cleaner' appeared one morning, before 9 am, to see the mould in the shower. He said "But you're OK with that aren't you?' We said he should come to clean it after we'd left for the day. He did not.
The rest was not dealt with.
The young woman at reception was pleasant and probably passed on the message to housekeeping, but there was no result.
