The Villas are large and super comfy. The views are just breathtaking, private pool is a nice touch.
Private hotel beach is very clean with crystal clear water (not always, depends on the weather).
Personnel is always smiling, very helpful and responsive.
Food is decent, although Saffron is clearly 1-2 points above The Edge.
You get to experience „being in a jungle” while staying at very luxurious and comfortable place.
For Thailand it’s very pricey - expect to pay ~500-700 Baht per single dish (we are vegetarian, meat and seafood is more pricey I guess), similar for drinks.
In general - the views, smiling staff, the villas and the secluded location make up for it, but you will feel a bit „milked” as a customer - some of the services really shouldn’t cost that much.

we loved our stay! the hotel itself is so beautiful. a little on the older side but love that charm about it. the staff are so accommodating, lovely and attentive! We got moved to a better villa with a stunning view of the private beach (B20) so would definitely come back and stay in this villa again. 5 stars!!

A very good privacy and service as well

Our second stay at this amazing resort. Still has the wow factor, fantastic staff and is up there as one of the best places to experience Thailand in Luxury.
Only real gripe is that the gym is poor at best. Outdated very basic equipment only and that the transfers should be included rather than chargeable.

The Room and Private Pool was very large, clean and fabulous.
Smart TVs were easy to use with casting.
Bed and Linens were very comfortable.
Breakfast service and all staff were lovely.
The Property is Beautiful!
There is a very bright light that lights up the room at night from the on wall aircon temp control screen. There needs to be a way to cover it or turn it off. or bring dark tape..
Guests who want to see more than a tiny glimpse of the ocean need to book a direct ocean view room as our partial ocean view would more correctly be described as a lovely garden view.

The villa was beautiful with a breathtaking view and fantastic facilities. Our villa host, Beauty, was warm, attentive and friendly. She sorted out even the most minor problems with empathy and utmost professionalism. We would’ve loved to have had more time with her as her stories were so funny and she made our stay so much more enjoyable!

Very nice hotel, amazing villa and very good service. Food was not amazing but it was ok. Breakfast was good.
Beach could be cleaned a bit more as waves bring some detritus.

Water sports on their own private beach, very accommodating and friendly staff, great breakfast, great ambience, enough activities to keep you occupied
Only two restaurants for dinner; few too many insects around!

I loved the view from every area of the hotel and from the room. The floating breakfast over the pool was breathtaking. We were celebrating our anniversary and they prepared the banio, placed happy anniversary towel swans on the bed and took a picture and printed it for us. they even gave us cake to celebrate. it was exceptional treatment. the massage was amazing. we enjoyed our stay so much
it’s hard to walk from the room to other hotel facility because the rooms are built on hills and it is very steep to walk, you need to call for a golf cart every time you want to go out of the room I wish there were stairs

excellent place! little to far from the city
Only 2 places to hav dinner which is a small number of choices

Best hotel in Samui.
The villa was amazing, big and with every possible facility you might need.
BreKfast was also delicious and the team service was above and beyond.
Will definitely come back again
There was a bad smell from the toilet but they fixed it fast

Really nice sweet staff and beautiful beach
The staff isnt trained for 5 star staff its more 3.5 stars. Wouldnt visit again. spa has mosquitoes, you go in for a $300 massage and come out with mosquito bites on your face arms back and legs. Breakfast is a complete disaster, they dont give cutlery, eggs take 40 mins and order comes wrong, coffee 20 mins, you go to get it yourself they say go sit down. it’s completely understaffed for the amount of people eating. plus breakfast food isnt that great, very little choices, croissants and other bakery are horrible. they never ask if you need anything else, and then when you want to go back to your room after having coffee there are never enough buggies. batteries run out so you end up waiting 10 mins. also paid for rose bouquet almost $100 and it was tiny, pool isnt heated, beach staff also never check on you, you have to chase them down then same thing happens if you go to the beach restaurant or toilet you get bombarded with mosquitoes. ive been to other tropical resorts and yes there are bugs and mosquitos but they spray everyday and have mosquito repellant in all public toulets, spas and areas. not to mention our last day we found poisonous centipedes, milipedes and worms in our shower and toilet and thank God we didnt get bit. overall banyan tree is not nice for 3.5 star bur definitely not 5 star. and the second bedroom in family villa is extremely tight and claustrophobic, the bathroom in master villa is larger. room service can also take over an hour to come to you
4.7
Absolutely stunning villa and location - the grounds are immaculate and the service was certainly 5* from check-in to check-out. Khun Pla was super helpful and made us feel right at home and all staff were so friendly! Really helpful with arranging a necessary PCR test for us offsite at the local hospital.
Saffron was unfortunately lacking a bit of atmosphere and the ambiance could certainly be improved.
4.7
The BEST Villa and accommodation we have ever experienced. The view, the Villa, the set-up the pool all fantastic! All staff superb.
Restaurant options limited, no bar to have pre-dinner drinks, pool area a bit tired, beach bar a bit too “concrete”, beach and beach equipment not as nice as it could be.
4.7
good view and great staff
have to depend on buggy to reach all destinations in the property.
