Very friendly staff, great breakfast and dinner. Beautiful location
We had a room with a bathtub but only a handheld shower. Bed could be more comfortable

It is such a lovely small hotel in a small town. We arrived very early for checking because my partner was felling sick and they gave priority to clean our room and take care of us during the waiting time. They were very kind and friendly.
It was a bit warm in the room but we stayed in a day with 37 degrees, so it is understandable

staff were happy and friendly
found food and beer expensive

We hired a family room, with a double bed on the first floor and 2 single beds one level higher (accessible through stairs).
The beds were good. Sheets and towels were clean. The location of the hotel in the centre of the village is great. There'a parking lot in front of the hotel.
The two single beds were under the roof, which made the room quite hot. There was a small portable ventilator, but I couldn't find a plug to power it.
On arrival, the lady a the reception desk told us she was busy serving in the restaurant, and didn't have time for us.
We didn't reserve a place at the restaurant upfront but there was a table available on the terras - so we were told we could have dinner at 21:30 PM. Great ! When a bigger group arrived they got the table. Sorry - no food for you - no sandwich - nothing. We ate some leftovers from lunch on a bench on the nice square in front of the hotel. Weird...
The only service we got was the billing of the tourist tax in the morning.

Friendly, helpful staff. On-site restaurant. Comfortable room with large bathroom and balcony.
The Bookings site (indicates that a swimming pool is available, one of our criteria when choosing places to stay. The pool had clearly been out of use for some time, but we were not informed of this until well after our booking. Hence the property not meeting our expectations.

Not a deal breaker, but I'm not a fan of hand held showers which this room had. I've stayed here before in another room which had a great shower x

Friendly, charming and helpful lady owner, who, when we felt our room was a little cold, provided a heater. Bedroom, though small, was comfortable and the bathroom well-equipped. Restaurant was popular and packed every night. Free parking outside the hotel, and only a short walk down a slight hill into the village.

Ancient hotel with historical atmosphere. Friendliness, helpfulness, and cheerfulness of all the hotel staff. Location close to the ski area and in walking distance from downtown Combloux. Free parking in front of the building. We had an excellent time. Dinner was good. Some dishes were of exceptionally high quality (Soupe a l'Ognion, La noix d'entrecôte Angus, fondant au chocolate, cafe gourmand).
I am sorry to write this, but to be honest, while certain dishes were extremely wonderful (see above), some of the others were not really our favorite (Lasagne végétarienne was burnt, then burger savoyard and fondue aux cepes - perhaps too strong a taste of the reblochon -, and also the profiteroles). One day we had tow wait for more than an hour for the next course (and I fell asleep while waiting), the next day the service was extremely fast.

location, restaurant
breakfast could be a little richer

Location, food, atmosphere, cleanliness and size of rooms
Disappointed to find we were charged for extra breakfast 8 in total, complained as soon as we realised before leaving, the waiter couldn't offer a refund and told us that his boss would organise it later in the day.
Still no refund - very disappointing

Lovely, small, family hotel. Very Savoyard. The owners were so sweet, and also very enthusiastic for our dog.
The family duplex (Room 10) was small on the downstairs double but had a great big loft for our two teenagers
We had their New Year's Eve set dinner which was delicious and stayed for the party afterwards
Terrific little place

The location was very good, easy walking distance to the town and the free ski bus was just outside.
The breakfast was what you’d expect in France- perfectly adequate.
Being the only English guests we felt overlooked , despite a large sign above reception saying “English speaking” , communication with the staff was difficult and awkward. Despite telling them repeatedly that we didn’t understand they continued to talk at us in French and a few times seemed annoyed with us for not understanding. The lounge only had seating for around 10 people and so after coming back to the hotel having been out for dinner there was nowhere to sit and no one to ask and so we ended up sitting in the room. I think it’s a typical French hotel for French visitors.

Breakfast was interesting cook your own egg after paying for breakfast?? room small location stunning views and staff friendly enough, helpful with luggage up narrow steep stairs.
paid extra for breakfast and had to cook own boiled egg!!!! really whilst two members of staff stood talking, not my idea of service, room too small, although clean, just about did what we needed.

Beautiful authentic old inn. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were really kind and intuitive to our needs. The food was superb too. We had the perfect view of Mont Blanc from our room and balcony.
We struggled a bit with the wifi in our room (streaming movies), but that may be due to covid and everyone staying in a lot.

The noise of the church bells during the night! I could not sleep
