We were cycling in the Redwoods, so the location was great, place was clean, friendly and welcoming.

A fantastic place to stay for a few days R&R, very friendly staff and exceptionally clean. Can't fault it at all.

Studio Rooms ok, Cabin was a nightmare

We booked one studio room and a cabin. The studio was great, clean and fit for purpose. The pool and spa was nice across from this room. The cabin guests had to use the communal shower and toilets and these were some of the cleanest communal areas i have used.

The cabin was absolutely disgusting. We walked in to a very foul smell and due to the busy itinerary we had we didnt have much choice but to grin and bear it. Tried everything to mask the smell, scented candle, airwick auto air spray, opening all the windows and door but to no avail. Every time we returned that awful smell was there. The beds were damp and i mean almost wet, the cabin has poor ventilation and the air con was not adequate, the condensation did not stop and we had to sleep on the provided continentals not inside them. there were three of us staying in this room and the smell got into everything that we had in there. Our clothes and our own blankets. there was also a stained bedspread on the main bed which i couldnt help but toss to the side. When mentioning this on checkout, staff suggested it might be a rat which the cleaner should have noticed fancy thinking that was up to par. Your staff should check the rooms prior to guests staying you would have noticed all of these had this been done. Staff did ask if i put the bedspread in the laundry pile and i told her it needs burning. Appalling to say the least for the cabin, the other room was much nicer.

Excellent holiday park that we always stay at when in Rotorua.

Large room (Cabin 15) with plenty of space for a family of four to spread out. Room was spotlessly clean as were the communal facilities. Even though the camp was near capacity, it did not feel overcrowded.

One of the bunks was uncomfortable due to being the older wire sprung style (the other beds were fine).

Disappointing

The cabin was very clean. Milk for coffee was provided. The camp office sells a few basic supplies.

Because of a medical emergency I never slept in the cabin and family members checked me out two days later. However, no refund was offered despite a booked out weekend in Rotorua during which the cabin was undoubtedly resold. A vague reference to a future reduction was mentioned. The cabin does not have a sink or water source which I would have expected for over a $100 a night and because they offer tea and coffee making facilities.

Beautiful family venue, will definitely stay here again. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and informative in regards to my questions. Location is perfect and having everything in one spot made our travel that much easier.

Family weekend getaway

We liked the convenience of the location and the fun things kids can do while we were staying there

We didn't like that one of the rooms had a weird smell, and the cleaniness could have been a bit better, we couldnt charge our devices in the rooms because some of the power points wouldn't let a wall charger into the sockets, and they also were trying to charge me again even though I paid the deposit two months in advance to secure the booking and I paid the final payment on arrival.

We really enjoyed the comfort of our family unit, it was very clean & we felt safe. We also enjoyed the close proximity to the heated pool facilities & the hours it was opened & available for our use. We thought the kids park & games room was a welcomed addition my mokos loved it. Although the location appeared to be a distance away from the city area, there was a supermarket & some shops nearby, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Motion entertainment facilities.

We enjoyed some of the info provided about the area but found some of the tourist info re activities etc a little dated however nothing Google couldn't fix. We were a little disappointed yr food truck facility wasn't working we would have rather given our money to you rather than buy out.
