Excelente alojamiento

Excelente alojamiento. 👌 Desayuno muy bueno con productos locales. Instalaciones amplias , ordenadas y limpias. Camas cómodas. Muy cerca del centro andando. Cerca de paradas de tranvías que te llevan a cualquier punto de Basel pero como digo andando está todo cerca. El Hostel te da indicaciones de como llegar del aeropuerto hasta ellos y es muy sencillo. El transporte es gratuito, es necesario llevar la confirmación de la reserva hasta que en el Hostel te dan la tarjeta gratuita de transporte para todos los dias que estés en Basel. Importante, en el aeropuerto hay 2 salidas, la francesa y la suiza. Si vais a Basel salir por la suiza. Este alojamiento superó mis expectativas.

Nice for a comparatively cheap stay in Basel but not great for solo travellers to meet people

Really great location, 10min walk from the city centre and right in the scenic Alban valley neighbourhood. Decent breakfast and in general good facilities.

Not a very social hostel and the inside design kind of looks like a prison

hochwertige und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Unterkunft in schöner Lage

Guter Kaffee zum Frühstück, Obst, Belag, alles da, überschaubare Auswahl aber dafür gute Qualität Materialwahl ehrlich und geschmackvoll: Vollholz, Beton, Stahl, Glas, Leder, Licht, alles passt zusammen

etwas hellhörig: wenn im Gang geredet oder gelaufen wird schallt es bis ins Zimmer

Enjoyable but didn’t like the constant shouting out

Location, breakfast were excellent

I booked in and went to go out for a walk A group of disabled young people were booking in (which is nice that they could enjoy festival too )But one man keep walking off shouting very loud a name and repeating it every couple of seconds , he went up to lift, where 2 young's girls and their parents were, he started shouting out at them, the girls were terrified I came back from my walk and same man was walking round reception, touching the leaflets and shouting out all the time ! Went upstairs to get my book .. sat down in chair and he was still walking up and down, shouting .. so I didn't feel comfortable and sat on my bed... I came down again later and at dinner (which I didn't have' and he was still shouting out... I didn't like it.. I paid to have a break not to have un uncomfortable stay This man continued to shout, walk round reception, touch the leaflets all of my stay.. I sat in my room because of it He also wandered outside after I had gone out and I had to wait to make sure he went back in! I have nothing against people with disabilities, but this gentleman should have been supervised more ..it was not an enjoyable experience for me, or for the other people One of the ladies in the room asked the carer (who was very young) about him... he said " when he gets excited he is ok but can get upset and they try to relax him! Really, that's acceptable with young children in hostel.. no it's not .. shame because it ruined my trip!

it was a really big hostel with not a lot of people so it didn’t have a welcoming hostel vibe to meet people etc

Comfy beds, reasonable price

Reasonable price, modern, comfy beds - good location but have to walk uphill to centre

Breakfast was ok, was no hot food and nothing was getting refilled. Plug sockets by bed was not working properly and not many places around hotel to plug in with European socket

Clean, spacious, accommodating. Would definitely visit again.

close to transportation ! just a short walk behind the building. Very clean, spacious showers. Facility had everything I needed. Front desk kindly kept my Xmas market purchase in the freezer until my departure.

No dislikes on my visit!

The interior and exterior of the hotel are really beautiful. It's near the Rhine river, which is also a plus.

I think they should have a bed number. Initially, when I was asked to choose a bed, I went to my room, chose one empty bed and made up my bed. Then later when I returned at midnight, I saw someone else was sleeping on my bed (maybe he was confused as there was no bed number). So, I had to choose another bed! It was really an unexpected experience.

super comfy, great location and great breakfast buffet!

Beds were super comfy, and each had charging points and lights. Rooms were spacious and open with big windows and big lockers which was awesome! and the added sink space that was separated from the sleeping area was perfect

The showers need some proper cleaning, it doesn’t look like there is much ventilation which gives rise to mould

It has everything you would expect from a hostel. A good bed, clean showers and toilets and nice employees. The breakfast is nice.

The price is a bit high for the level of comfort you get.

Beautiful from the outside and Basel card / free transport from airport was a very welcome gesture. Matras was not bad .Friendly staff. Nice location. Breakfast is okay

No sockets for charging phone in the room. Just 1 for 4 guests. Also in the lobby there is a lack of power sockets. Strange nowadays. My roommates were extremely loud sleepers unfortunately. Also no towels? You have to pay for towels. Room was very very basic. Also lots of children in the hostel. And no nice bar. You order the drinks at reception. It's very basic. I understand you can't compare European prices with swiss prices. and I am sure if you pay 100 euro a night you still don't get a decent place in Basel. So you don't really have a choice it seems.

Location is nice you are 1 km from main tourist attractions, breakfast was need very nice , room was small 6 beds but clean. Laura was very friendly on the reception and helped me with all my questions

The lockers in the rooms work only with 2 franc coin, which is not ok if you don't have coins or francs. I tried to ask on the reception to give them 2 euro coin for the night for 2 franc coin and exchange them back in the morning but it was not possible, so i used locker without locking it. There are no electricity sockets with EU standard or at least usb plugs and you need to give deposit to reception to rent you EU to Switzerland connector. Also i didn't find hairdryer , may be they have but i was lazy to ask again on the reception.
