Best place in Koh Tao if you’re looking for a superior accomodation to the classic bungalows along the beach. Location is amazing, views stunning. Breakfast was solid.
Especial mention to the staff, made our stay very pleasant and were alsways ready to provide info/solutions if needed. Thank you!

I love Cabana
The rates are too high

Koh Tao Cabana is an unique amazing hotel with a special djungel/forest atmosphere. It is well designed with clear thoughts behind all details.
All stuff was lovely and very helpful.
Have nothing negative to say about this hotel.

Beautiful room, mostly lovely staff, most importantly comfy bed!!
let down by some facilities, particularly the pool. Pool wasn’t clean enough, shallow and waterfall broken. No hot water at all, reception unconcerned, which was annoying given the price

Good location at end of beach. Far enough away from the ground zero party scene but still close enough to walk.
One of our two rooms were on the warm side, but we were there in late May and it was very hot.

Loved this place! Gorgeous grounds, room and beach! The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. At 11pm we had an issue with our room and they did not hesitate to correct and solve it. they went above and beyond to make our stay great. The beach feels very private with delicious beach side food and drinks. You can rent mopeds on the property. Super close to town. the resort restaurant has good food and a great view.
Nothing.

It's a beautiful hotel, nice and quiet location, very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff were so polite and helpful.
Although the location is quiet and private, it's a bit far to the main town. The beach is very shallow and rocky to swim. We had to take taxi everyday to the other side of the island to swim.
The location and view of the restaurant is so beautiful but the food is not good ( we had the worst pad thai here) and it's a bit pricey compared to the other restaurants on the island.

Amazing stay at Koh Tao Cabana.
We booked a pool room over looking the bay which was beautiful. Very clean with all the amenities.
Staff were incredibly friendly and eagar to help and all very nice, especially Vicky at reception.
A few reviews mentioned being able to hear music from the beach bars. Yes you can hear the bass of the music slightly however it certainly isn’t unbearable AND there are ear plugs provided in the room.
Apart from that I highly recommend Koh Tao Cabana.
My only critique would be that, the resort offered room service however there is no phone in the room to use to call down and order anything so you either use your own mobile phone which we tried to do but were unsuccessful or you have to keep going down to the bar area. This may sound very precious of me however having a room with its own private pool, you undoubtedly would want to be able to order cold drinks at least whilst relaxing.

The Room and the Facilities. Wide range of products in Breakfast.
The reception working hours only until 07:00 pm and the swimming pool closed at 08:00 pm.

As in the pictures, one of a kind! Lovely super comfy seaview cabanas and a professional team to help you. Heaven on earth.
The Pool area is abandoned, there is no any facility, not a bar to order even water. For such a hotel, you would want to spend time in pool area because the sea is warm.

The fun of a tree house without having to climb a ladder. It was a luxurious jungle resort with great attention to detail - beautiful makeup table, water bin to rinse feet, bug spray, water bottles replenished daily... The restaurant was great and service everywhere was perfect. They helped me book a snorkel tour and massage.
I'm a solo traveler on sabbatical, not gap year. If I was looking to party, I would not have stayed at the end of the beach. For me, it was perfect.

The view from our Honeymoon Cottage was stunning, our private pool was a welcome relief as the weather was so hot and humid. Love the position of the resort which is away from the backpacker hotels but still a nice walk along the beach to many wonderful restaurants. The snorkeling at the front of our cottage was amazing, lots of fish to see.
The resort is in need of maintenance work, so many areas look tired and run down, this is not reflected in the prices they are charging for a nightly cost.
The continental breakfast area is unappetising, the fruit and salads are not on ice. The hot food menu is okay.
Please note the following is not available which on their website it says it is:
There is no day spa at the resort - it does not exist " Kajavari Spa"
There are no telephones in the villas, so there is no room service
There is no gift shop " The Gecko "
There is no mini mart on the property and no microwave in the room

Everything was perfect, great location, beautiful accommodation, beautiful beach, close to bars and restaurants. Snorkelling was reasonable, plenty of fish, but need to competent swimmer. Would recommend the trip out there.
Absolutely nothing.

What we loved:
Shuttle service from the pier
Popcorn with our welcome drink!
Breakfast croissants which were excellent and we enjoyed roasting them over a bbq grill
A la carte hot dish option for ordering at breakfast
The quiet location on the bay
Gentle shelving beach and snorkelling opportunities alongside the rocks
Free Sups- a perfect bay for their use
The resort landscaping and room design, water jar for washing feet and deck hammock
Resort lightening
The snorkelling deck and viewpoint deck
Two pools and split level decking
Easy access to a taxi boat by the property and access to Nangyuan
No loud music at breakfast or dinner
Short walk to seafood restaurants and massage salons
Baggage porters who struggle with heavy luggage and scale ladders to treetop cottages -thank you!
Even better if:
Softer pillow option and more than one pillow offered
Proper coffee at breakfast without the need to pay an additional charge; the coffee is weak
Double mattress rather than adjoining single mattresses - the mattresses are very firm
More sun beds at the beach
Mosquito coils on the deck - thank you for providing these at dinner
Seat pads at the viewpoint deck for comfort - this is an underused area of the property
The ambience of the property at night is compromised by the loud music in the bay until approximately 2am. Thank you for providing ear plugs; it’s a shame the resort has developed in this way. We know this is beyond the control of the hotel.
We were shocked to see that some guests had discarded plastic bottles in plant pots and over the edge of the railings at the viewpoint deck. Seriously? If you stay here, respect the property!

Lovely beach area in front of resort, crystal clear water
No service by the pool and restaurant wouldn’t serve drinks or food to beds on the beach. Room towels smelt damp.

This place is unreal, I have never felt so peaceful and relaxed. My cabana (#14) feels like a home and has the most amazing views and private water access. I am normally not a resort tourist but I hardly left the resort and kept extending my stay (still here). Also the staff is incredibly attentative and friendly, the on-site restaurant is amazing as well, really good food and cocktails.
I am in heaven and will be back 😊
The only thing I would point out is that you hear the music from the bars (it's loud), but it doesn't bother me as I am going out most nights. However, if you are after a peaceful sleep before 2am, it's either not the place or ask for a room that might not be hit as bad.

Location right on the beach perfect
10.0 / 10.0
Stunning location right at the end of Sairee beach, meaning you are just a short walk away from many restaurants and bars, but in a tranquil spot to enjoy the beach during the day.
Free paddle boards and snorkelling equipment.
Hotel provides free transfers to and from the peer.
If light bothers you, the villas get bright in the morning as it lacks blackout curtains on some small lateral windows.
Restaurant seems quite basic (haven’t tried it due to reviews and plenty of offering close by) but breakfast included is good, including à La carte options with eggs in different ways.

stylish, well thought out. classic Thai deco.
lots of steps to get to rooms. staff poorly trained. restaurant never got one order right. haphazard attitude.
