Classic Motel from Hell

No sky as advertised, social Housing in most off rooms unwanted individuals turning up at my room , no service as promised, I had to leave on second night as I was not comfortable with the tenants that were hanging around my van as I have tools, I chose to stay their so lesson learned make sure you ask if they take social housing tenants, and be very cautious when you see the premises are dirty.

A great motel for the budget conscious.

Basic and dated but value for money in a good location.

Road noise interupting sleep. TV picture quality. These issues were not major as the tarrif reflected the overall standard.

Very helpful with late check in. However check out was a nightmare. Wasn’t told the office was closed till 930 am

Located well for our plans it fitted us all in one unit

It was very damp, and needing a bit of a paint iob

Stayed, but won’t be back

The bed was comfy. The staff member was friendly and helpful when we reported the odour in our room and offered to put a machine in our room to remove the odour when we went to dinner.

The room had a strong odour upon arrival of curry and we had to leave our door and windows open for long period of time on a very cold day to get fresh air in the room. There were stains on the couch and on the sheet on one of our beds. Condensation on all the windows in the bedrooms. The room was very dated and is in dire need of a “freshen up”. The tv is situated in a very unconventional place and comes out across a doorway to the kitchen where we ended up knocking into it on a few occasions. Not very safe. We found it very difficult to get out of the driveway as the traffic is very heavy and close to a set of lights.

Disappointing

Other than a convenient location and quiet had very little going for it.

Bed very hard Entire unit very dates felt like I was in the 80s even the microwave and the fridge seemed like the were from the 80s The heat pump made funny noises The water from the shower was very low pressure

Relaxed enjoyable time spent with grandchildren home away from home.will be back as long as the

Unit was good beds were comfortable location ok

the extra single bed in the lounge should have been of the same size and height as the one in the bedroom totally uncomfortable for adults or teenagers alike. would also be good if the sofa could also be a bed settee that way you could still accomodate up to six people very comfortably in the unit. catering for extras at short notice especially if they are from the same family!!!!!!!

We have stayed there in the past and found it acceptable but the cost was a little over the top

A nice quiet area even though it was close to the road and lovely polite young lady at reception. Room was also lovely and warm.

However, the bed was hard and I spent most of my time tossing and turning trying to get comfortable. Place needs a bit of tidy up rather old and needs some paint work and replacement of nettings with holes in it plus removal of mold from around the windows.

Pleasant

Was reasonably clean and tidy. Bed was supportive but too bouncy.

Smelled of dog or smoke or something. Could use some fresh paint a new shower head and new basin. Second bedroom light needs attention. Character motel kiwiana.

Great little motel

Price. The price for two nights was amazing considering we only booked as we were travelling up. It was so spacious with a large kitchen. The two bedroom suite was super clean. We were supposed to stay two nights but ended up staying one night and leaving earlier and the owners were very accommodating in refunding the second night. We only stayed one night as the funeral we had come up for, was earlier than we thought. Super close to all amenities and main roads.

Nice and tidy, friendly recption, very comfortable for family of 4, had a nice sleep.
