Great location, but didn't care for the touristy lodging rate.

The location was fantastic being right in the middle of Shibuya District of Tokyo. Within easy walking distance from shops and restaurants/bars.

I didn't like the high touristy price of over US$320 per night. I've stayed in several other Dormy Inns in other Japanese cities, such as Kyoto, Osaka, Otaru. All of them had onsens and were a lot more reasonable in pricing. Dormy Shibuya had no onsen, small rooms, yet still charged prices comparable to major Western hotel brands.

Fantastic lactation between harajuku and Shinjuku perfect for shopping :) amazing onsen and comfy room

Great comfortable room. Fantastic shower in the room but exceptional onsen facility!! Sauna, huge hot bath showers etc etc

The breakfast was not great. It use to be better…lots of fried food

Perfect for families, the breakfast is great.

Convenient location, very quiet despite train tracks near by. Very friendly staff.

Pillow/mattress were very firm vs. plush, harder for larger western travelers to adapt to for good night sleep.

Good location but hotel is a bit tired and worn. Rooms very small with no look out as windows are frosted.

Found night staff were not that helpful and friendly. However day staff were nice, especially evening staff on Sunday.

Room was very small with no outlook which made it very claustrophobic. Didn’t find staff to be very friendly but staff on the 2nd night were helpful. Pillows are extremely hard which was not comfortable.

Great couple of nights stay in Shibuya

Great location, really friendly and helpful staff and a really good traditional and western breakfast. Sauna / spa was a bonus too.

The room was very small with limited room for a few suitcases. However this is quite common in Japan and it was only slightly smaller than rooms we stayed in elsewhere in the country.

Decent establishment but out of the way.

Small supplementary items such as treats and snacks makes you want to come back.

Bit out of the way from shibuya. Next to cemetery and construction site. Bath us busy and lack of maintenance. Seems to not be onsen.

ロケーションはめちゃくちゃ良かったです。そして清潔感もあり、大浴場にあるドライヤーはパナソニックの1番新しく高級なモデルを使ってるのがびっくりしました。朝のビュッフェや無料のお菓子も種類豊富なので良いです。

すぐ近くにコンビニがないことと、ホテルに行く道が結構暗いこと。

Great location, quiet, comfortable rooms.

Excellent location between Shibuya and Harjuku. Both train stations were easily accessible by walking. Lots to see within walking distance in both neighbourhoods. Rooms were small but comfortable. Lovely onsen. Enjoyed the nightly (free) ramen. Lovely surprise to have access to free washing machine in the onsen; dryer was only 100 yen.

The hotel and staff were great, but not worth the inconvenience… for us.

A dream come true!

I cannot sing enough praises for this stay! Dormy Inn is easily the best hotel stay I've ever had, and I am a lifelong traveler who has been and lives in more than 20 countries. I suppose I can say I didn't "like" anything, because I LOVED it! The onsen is clean and extremely relaxing, the sauna and cold bath are perfect compliments to the onsen as well. The shower in my room was a 100/100 as it was hot, had a ton of water pressure, and had such great water that my skin has never felt so soft. Add to this that there is free ramen at night, and complimentary ice cream just outside the onsen, and you have a literal dream come true. Unfortunately we we to stay in a different hotel, one that was much "higher rated", but it could not measure up. We eventually ended up back at a different Dormy Inn location because of how great this location was.

It is so difficult to find something negative. I suppose if I had to nit-pick, I would say you could hear the train, but if you're a fan of white noise or Studio Ghibli as I am, it was more relaxing than anything.

Superb

It was in perfect location, between harajuku and shibuya, so great spot for shopping. The facility was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Great value for the money, also after long day of sightseeing, having sauna was the best

A wonderful stay; I know I’ll be back!

The location was great. A pleasant walk to the station. The room was clean and the water pressure in the bathroom was great. The spa was a great way to unwind after a long day in the city. We loved the complimentary ramen and yakult. The staff were pleasant and very helpful.

The beds are actually twins!!!! They advertise that the beds are fulls and 2 beds can sleep a family of 4. This is simply not true unless you have tiny children or they are younger than 3.

We stayed here twice (at the beginning and end of our Japan trip) and are so glad we did!

Excellent location: train station, restaurants, and chic boutiques all nearby. Amazingly quiet for being right next to train tracks! After a day of walking and sightseeing, soaking in the onsen was wonderful treat. Great staff.

The rooms are a bit tight.

Great hotel if you don’t mind the walk!

Loved the free ramen in the evening and the ice creams upstairs! Such a thoughtful nice treat to come home to after a long day of walking. Staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay.

The location was a little hard to get to especially in the rain, and our double room was really quite small.

Very convenient location with quick access to trains, shopping, restaurant and parks..

Small rooms but everything clean and works well. Fridge, kettle, tea, coffee and crockery provided. Laundry facilities also available at minimum cost.

Overall great experience.

Location was amazing, onsen was great, and all of the little things they did/had (luggage scale, currency exchange, ice cream after the onsen, fabric deodorizer, etc.) made the trip feel luxurious. Heard no traffic noise at night.

Pillows on the bed were too thin for a side sleeper. Had to sleep with two pillows stacked, and then use my travel neck pillow on top of that.

an economical but tourist friendly and above average place to stay at. left behind 2 branded hangers when checking out.

location was exactly where I wanted to be. they had nice facilities like public bath and free amenities

Perfect location if you enjoy Omotesando, Harajuku and Shibuya. Staff is also very helpful!

The room didn't feel quite clean. The carpet felt a little dirty.
