Well, There is so much to like!
How efficient and professional staff is, left no sense of uncomfort over the term of our stay.
Management System is set up extreamely well and handled correctly, from the time of check in, complementary delivery, informing us about proceedings to follow, to the finer detail of having staff prepared with each customers package selection(got to breakfast, they had a list ready ,knowing that our package included breakfast) this is only one example.
As my wife have an educational background in hospitality and is struggling to find some drive in the industry she now have a broader perspective of what day to day operations should look like, our lives does not allow the shifts required in the industry therefore she did not persue this anyfurther and is starting to lose interest...
THE CAPE SUN WAS AMAZING TO SPEND AN ANNIVERSARY NIGHT AT AND ALSO GAVE US THE HOPE OF BRINGING THE HOSPITALITY DREAM ALIVE FOR MY WIFE AGAIN.
Cape Sun is just amazing!😃 and will
definately be using this Hotel again when A break is needed.Thank you
I have to admit that the pre informed about the closure of the pool wasn't communicated therfore we could not use the facility.
(When they clean and after how long we could then use the pool.)

Beautiful gem in town that’s comfortable for business and leisure. Well kept location and good value for money.
Parking a bit tight, and location in town a bit intimidating.

Excellent Location
Staff at reception, bar, porters were very friendly but not very inviting.
1. Whistling window in room 1808
2. Smelly toilet (old)
3. Biggest disappointment was that I had to shrug off my breakfast in 5-10 minutes because I was refused to take my breakfast to the room unless I pay R235 for taking my breakfast self to my room as I had an online meeting starting in 15 minutes. For a 4 star hotel, it’s disappointing that there is no flexibility.
4. Two ladies in breakfast area not very friendly and approachable. Unfortunately don’t have names.

The bar and the set up of the whole hotel very posh . Clean and smell great.
At the buffet breakfast we asked for hot chocolate and after 40 min it never arrived so we left as the waiter said once its coming but then she never returned . Only attending the to African people . Never less the stay was great. Food good.

The room was very nice. Linen nice and fresh and bed comfortable.
Breakfast was very good. The staff at the entrance and lift were very kind.
.
Room:
We booked for 4 people, but only 2 cups, 2 glasses and 2 towels were provided in the room. When we called for more towels, it never came.
The basin in the bathroom should be replaced.

in CBD
1. Old and run down.
2. This hotel has 32 floor but gym has only 2 treadmills + 3 exercise bicycles for 400 to 500 guests that it can accommodate.
3. Drinking water supplied (2 bottles of 250ml each day) is not sufficient. Should be 2 bottles of 500ml each.
4. Carpets in the room are worn out
5. Vegeterian options are extremely limited in buffet

The hotel was amazing in every way especially the phenomenonal service! .The breakfast was delicious with a great variety in dishes. My room faced Table Top Mountain and waking up to see such an amazing thing was mind blowing. The distance between Cape Sun and the V&A Waterfront is doable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
I didn't like that there wasn't an outdoor pool.

The rooms were beautiful.
The breakfast wasn't great. The chefs can't make a simple omelette, let alone a scrambled egg. The bread wasn't fresh, and their beef sausages were too dry. I was very disappointed.

location is good
We had booked with the Cape Sun for my 9year old daughter's birthday. I emailed the hotel requesting that they please put a cupcake in the room for her birthday, to which they responded so i know they received the request. This did not happen. We had booked a double room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) but the room was only set up for 2 people. Only 2 towels, 2 cups, 2 glasses etc. The bath tub did not have a bath plug. We had been out exploring with the children the whole day and got back to the hotel at 19h45 and decided to order room service because the kids were exhausted. Upon placing the order at 20h00, i was informed it would take 35-40 mins. Our food only arrived at 21h35 after i had phoned 3 times to ask what was taking so long and by then my kids were asleep. Not once were we asked by any staff how our stay was and we were barely greeted upon checkout. Even it is the last hotel standing, NEVER AGAIN.

The beds, pillows and linnen was of excellent quality and was amazing!!
The one way street made it difficult to navigate your approach to the hotel.
