Location to the ferry for an overnight convenient stay
Bed bugs !!!!! Terrible terrible bites the next day on the torso , on looking at reviews after the ray it seems a view people had the same experience? The vibe and people it attracted , my brother and son I looked for felt it was somewhere to be careful ?

Accueil chaleureux
Cuisine très bien équipée, chambre plutôt spacieuse
Salon agréable
Assez bruyant/mal insonorisé, néanmoins un bon rapport qualité prix

It was amazing, the proximity to the ferry was great (easy to find late at night. The paintings everywhere were very cool, was sad we couldn't stay a little longer to look around. There was a sign saying you were welcome to stay past your check-out time as long as you were out of your room which is rare and very nice. The heater in the room was superb
It was a little cold, but it's winter so that's understandable But the bathroom was freezing. We arrived late and a Friday night (past midnight) and the owner was very drunk, so it wasn't the quietest first couple of hours. the bathroom sink was tiny, impossible to wash your face.

Very lively and vibrant backpackers full of character and exuberance. The host went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed, and all of the guests seemed like a big happy family. If you enjoy being social and meeting interesting people, this is the place for you.
As far as facilities go, there are two charming tv rooms, and the kitchen is fully stocked with essentials. Dessert was even made for the guests, and on the night I was there, one of the guests bought food for everyone to share.
Really recommended this place for those who are homesick; you will feel like you have new brothers and sisters!

The people make this place, both young and older. I’m a 50yr old woman, and I felt like I was visiting old friends and staying in their home which was comfy, interesting and decorated all over. The amenities are basic but if you stayed in a hotel, you would miss the authentic experience of chatting with staff and travellers and hearing all the great stories and advice of the local area. Location was great and very central. I only stayed one night yet missed the people there!?
Own bathroom would have been great but it’s a backpackers, so shared amenities was to be expected. Shower area a little cramped but great hot water pressure. Stayed in a single lockable room (small but adequate to sleep in but not to hang out in - kitchen and lounge areas were comfy and great for this). Walls also a little thin, so bring ear plugs to avoid hearing any snoring! Dorms are separated by only a curtain between the women and men so you would hear a lot and not much privacy so glad I had my own room. Another injection of funds in this place would be great and a spring-clean. Still worth staying here.

The staff were really kind and it’s a good location. The wifi was also pretty fast.
The “private” rooms have a screen above the door and on the door and a window that opens up to a hallway. So you can hear and see everyone else staying in the same area. It blocks out absolutely no noise, guests were up past the 10pm curfew still playing pool right next to our room and a lady in another room decided to take a call on speaker in the middle of the night and we could hear every word from across the hall. You expect all of this when you buy a cheap share bed but not when you pay the extra for a private room.

Beautiful hosts , great atmosphere
Everything was good

Nice staff, good location close to the ferry and town centre.
Noisy guests with lot of chatting and banging through the night. Likely a combination of poor sound proofing and guests disregarding the quiet hour rules.

What a beautifully quaint little hostel! Such a lovely family feel, Sheira on reception is so friendly and welcoming. The whole place has such an eclectic vibe, where its clear she's been collecting gorgeous little oddities over the years! Various little rooms to hang out in, with amazing furniture and ways to keep yourself entertained, i normally am desperate to get out of hostels during the day but I found myself wanting to go back and relax in the communal area every day. Resident cats are such a treat aswell. Even though there's obviously tons of people coming and going everyday! Sheira actually remembered who I was and asked about particular plans I'd told her about. The housekeeping team are all long stay residents and very friendly and chatty. "Home away from Home" is the perfect way to describe this place.
The mattresses are on the thin side, and maybe are ready to be replaced.

Good location, very close to the ferry port.
Uncomfortable pillow and smelly bathroom as it's a mixed bathroom. Very bad wifi, no connection at all in the room, and very limited ,slow, frequently disconnected wifi at the lounge area.

Storm conditions prevailing in Picton with ferocious wind blowing so cold. They lit the fire and kept the place warm which was great.
Seemed to be used a source of emergency housing. OK it's funky but I moved to the alternative hostel and it was much nicer.

They were extremely kind, and the place it's just magical, I don't think there's a better place in Picton.

Extremely friendly staff, very clean and safe, great atmosphere, amazing location, plus three very friendly cats! Very highly recommended, I'll be staying here again.
Lockers are coin activated every time you want to lock it. Otherwise this would be a 10/10 hostel for sure.

The location is fantastic. It’s close to everything. fun paint job in public areas. Lovely staff.
It’s a dump. My carpet was dirty. the trash can liner has not been replaced — there were still bits of trash stuck to the bottom. Of the two nightstand lamps one didn’t work, and had enough dust on it for me to put my initial on the bulb. Towels in my room didn’t smell fresh and were threadbare — I used my own. Shared hand towels in the restrooms is a revolting feature, and downright dangerous with COVID cases on the rise again.

this was one of the most special hotels I have ever seen and stayed in. Every room is painted with dedication. The common areas are decorated in detail and give a family atmosphere. The whole thing is topped off with various decorative items, wall paintings, photos and pictures. The owner is there for everyone, always ready for a small talk and has a lot to tell about her life. All in all, a successful trip to Atlantis, even if it was only for one night.
It is a backpacker accommodation - expectations? You should not expect anything! Nevertheless, everything was there that it needs
