Big room and nice view.
I got all my cash and my phone stolen during the night while I was sleeping. My cash was hidden in different parts of my bags but everything got stolen. No one at the reception and no cameras.

Calm place. Owner (who also has a tour agency) is there to help you with everything you need.
No AC, Sometimes whole town is without power during rainy season.

Very good view just laying on bed and look outside the window you faced with the ou river.
little bit far from veiw point walk around 10 mins. Staff are friendly but difficult to find her because she roaming around the village.

Amazing view. The hotel is in a reasonably close proximity to the main road and the restaurants (under 10 minutes walking). The room is simple, but clean.
The water pressure was low and the shower handle was broken (something I saw other people complaining about as well). The owner and his wife speak English and are super friendly/helpful. However, they are not at the hotel most of the day. The only person who is around - sometimes - is their elderly parent who doesn’t speak any English or even “city Laotian”. So you’d better hope that you don’t have any urgent need - coz he is just going to wave you off and return to watching TV (that’s even if he is there).

rooms were clean with a nice view.
staff barely knows english and aren’t very friendly or helpful, we paid for a room with double-bed but got one with single-beds (don’t get fooled by the pictures for the rooms, they are not the same as you get), pillows were uncomfortable and hard as stone. We almost got charged a higher rate for our rooms as well.

close to the river with a good view, big room
the staff throughout our stay could not speak any English or read our Lao translation which made it difficult to communicate

Nam ou riverlodge is located close to but not in the town centre which makes it both peaceful and you feel like you are experiencing a more local way of life. The amenities were excellent, room cleaned everyday, great WiFi (room just behind reception) tour guides on site and a great garden area to enjoy breakfast and use as an impromptu office! The view from the balcony is also so unexpected from the room - and really made a difference to my stay. Staff were very helpful and always had a smile. Overall wonderful pit stop if you need a place to stay within budget in Nong Khiaw!
One little bit of advice if around 1 hour before you are planning on sleeping you put the fan on to cool the room and extend the mosquito net - then you’ll be beast free for the night! Something I wish I had known the first night! But overall great stay.

Located in a quiet, less touristed part of town. Right on the river with nice views from the balconies. Easy 7 minute walk to town center, bridge, boat dock, etc. Good breakfasts.
No other services (tours, rentals, cafe, bar, etc.) so no one hustles you. It is a quiet place to sleep, hang out on the balcony, and watch the river.

Comfortable bed and nice room with a terrace and view of the river.
I stayed downstairs. It sounded like the couple above me were moving furniture around and when they talked it was as though they were in my room. Try to get the 2nd floor when you book. Pillows very hard. But .... great hotel and value for money.

The location is greats, it is opposite the river and have a good view. Behide the stay, is a local school. And a morning markets is near the hostel, which is a great place for breakfast.
