the atmosphere
I booked an executive room and ended up with one without a window (looking outside), no daylight In the room made me not want to spend time there

Walking in to the hotel is incredible!! Beautiful and mostly batik-themed decor in every corner, including the rooms. Some things I enjoyed:
- The resturant service for breakfast and meals is wonderful. A nice menu with enough to try out during my stay
- There are shops selling art made by local artisans, including incredibly high quality hand drawn batik, clothes and unique souvenirs
- People are so friendly at the hotel (and in Solo too!) and always have fantastic recommendations for what to see in the city
- Location; less than 20 minutes walk to Palaces Mankunegaran and Kasunanan (Kasunanan is a difficult route, so I recommend taking transport to this one)...a short walk to Kampung Batik Kauman and the Antique Markets
- Safe for solo travellers, especially the close proximity to many of the city's main attractions
- Great extra amenities (like the pool, massages etc.) which unfortunately I didn't get time to try
- Bottles of water provided and refreshed in the room every day
- Very clean room, antique decor, comfortable bed
The aircon is a little loud but the room stays cool for a very long time, which is great!

The bed was comfortable. Everything wass tastefully decorated.
The window in the room was very small and there were metal decorations outside the window cutting out the light so the room was very dark. So i had to turn on all the lights to see even in the middle of the day.
The shower was over the bath with a plastic curtain

Massage service is horrible. After the session, we need to pay in cash. If you dont have any, then you need to come down and pay in the lobby. IMMEDIATELY!!!
after a long day, massage to sleep, then you have to walk immediately? It's a good hotel, why dont they chsrge to my room?

Location, breakfast
Rooms smells damp and rooms quite old. The walls are too thin, activities from next room can be heard clearly from our room. Also, no small towel available in the bath room.

Friendly staff. Eco friendly.
Airco was not functioning well.
Overall renovation is needed, specially bathrooms.

Really great staff! Nice variety breakfast, beautiful interior.
The room didn't meet my expectation. The fridge didn't work, the toilet leaked, the tap was like a fountain the water splashing everywhere. The bath crane was hard to turn to shower mode. One lamp didn't work. Very expensive laundry. And in my room the wi-fi wasn't fast and sometimes didn't work at all.

We stayed two nights in this hotel.
Our check-in went well even though it is 1am in the morning. There were still several parking slots available in the underground parking area.
The hotel was nicely decorated with antique Javanese culture themed. It was pleasing to the eyes as well as quite a photogenic one. The room was large and tspacious, yet all major touch points felt tediously clean.
We had an issue with the room air conditioning, which does not blow cold air. We asked the hotel staff to check and possibly repair during our noon trip out from the hotel. However, they could not resolve this. Politely and generously, we were asked to move to the other room, which surprisingly we had it upgraded to Junior Suite. The suite had much better air conditioning, and our little baby slept better this time. I can say both the suites and deluxe room were very clean, and interior decor was pleasing to the eyes as well.
We had sampled the breakfast dishes, and some of it were exceptionally well cooked. There's a traditional Kwetiau noodle and fried rice bar, and both dishes were quite good. I don't think they use MSG or much salt either, so it is healthier as well. As many hotels around Java, traditional Jamu herbal drinks were served.
Aside from the service recovery with the AC we had in our initial room, bath rooms tap need to be reworked that the shower was leaking from hose bottom. The upgraded suite had a separate shower area, which the rain shower does not work.

Our group took 2 junior suite room.
The rooms were spacious. We asked for 2 extra bed. One of the extra bed was not comfortable/broken and were changed the next day. They shouldnt have use that at the first place. Toilet and bathroom were spacious. Hotel is on the main road. But to go to mall u need a grab or becak ride.
The hotel didnt provide sufficient water for the guests. If guest wants to top up we need to pay for 20,000 rupiah for each bottle. Not that friendly hospitality. Other hotels we can get it for free.

Love it!
The power outlet is only on one side of the bed, a little scratches on the floor, and a confusing lock door system 😂

Truly loved the hotel ambience from the lobby, hotel corridors and restaurant. Hotel staff is very pleasant and attentive especially the reception, restaurant host, security and concierge. Hotel location is the best and closed to Surakarta palace and right at the center of the city. Live cooking Nasi Goreng was tasty. Food variety is fine and just missing the yogurt.
Car parking was challenging and lucky that security guard was attentive and helpful. Shower drainage need to be fixed. Guest room furniture is tiring. Changing room at the pool needs cleaning.

Friendly front desk staff, I’m so glad that he help us who travel in group but unfortunately some of us don’t get the booking, one of the guy on 8 Oct when we arrive around 7 pm help us to arrange the room so we all end up still stay in same hotel which is awesome for group travel like us. Also he is very helpful when we request last minute for airport transport on car free day, thanks a lot lovely peoples in solo.
The door in our room is making loud noise to close so it’s bit annoying

Awesome rain shower. Located conveniently for Galabo. Good breakfast.
The room was worn out: damaged and scratched furniture, stained walls and furniture, awkward empty spaces where furniture once stood, noisy AC... The actual room did not do the pictures justice. And we got the choice: separate beds with street view, or single king bed with inner court view. Which meant no natural light. Or no light at all. All day long it felt like it was night time...
