Mooi gelegen kamers met serre waarbij je uitzicht kunt hebben op de fjord. Kamer was prima, badkamer klein maar alles is netjes en schoon. Bij het restaurant kun je prima eten de eigenaresse kookt zelf. Ontbijt was goed.

Breakfast was OK.
Walls are really thin so we could hear all our neighbours which was very uncomfortable as the sounds kept on waking us up through the night. There is no fridge in the room. The room itself was a bit outdated, especially the bathroom. The nearby hot pools are no longer free of charge and you have to pay 1000 ISK per person which is rather not worth it - there are just 3 tiny plastic pools.

Lovely room with terrance and amazing fjord views.
Dinner was good in the restaurant and the staff were all very helpful
Breakfast was disappointing and there was nothing hot and they ran out of plates so I had to eat my toast from a napkin.
I was told they would need to wash plates and restock plates soon as they could
Unfortunately bathroom was smelly due to water in this area

Drangsnes is a small beautiful village. We love going there and we always stay in Malarhorn. We had the private entrance room - it is a really good sized room with a small veranda and a small batroom with a shower. Perfect for 2 people. The room was clean and comfortable. We also had dinner at the restaurant and it was really good food and service.
The Crepe bedding. Everything else was perfect.

A pleasant hotel with many rooms. We had a very good room facing to the view and fjord, but we were lucky. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Anyhow recommended.
There are some rooms facing the parking lot with is not so nice.
The only problem was that you can hear everything that id done in your adjacent rooms. Each talk, each toilet flash etc.

The environment was extraordinarily picturesque, and the personnel was accommodating and pleasant. The locale was impeccably neat and orderly.
When we were sleeping the two beds drift apart and we had to stay on our side, no sleeping in middle nor cuddling

A splendid hotel with soaring ceilings and a charming enclosed terrace, providing a haven to appreciate the breathtaking views even in inclement weather. Nearby, you'll find complimentary thermal baths right by the ocean's edge. Indulge in a superb and delectable breakfast that awaits you each morning.

Place is beautiful. And the cottage is how my dream weekend cottage should looks like :)
Smoking should be fined, and warning signs with a fine should be placed visibly on wall. Our neighbour was was smoking heavily, in a glazed terrace right under NO SMOKING sign he kept (probably his own)
ashtray and cigarettes ( even the ash tray was mounted on walls of each entrance outside) and after 11pm when we went to sleep, all smoke came to our cottage. It was a literally a draft. It must have been some unsealed part right behind our heads. So for 100% he was smoking inside. ( Maid next morning must have smelled that) Sleep was a nightmare. So even it's not entirely a staff's fault, I'm rating MY stay 1* . But it's a shame, cuz it would be a perfect stay, if not that fight with a cigarette fumes. Of

We liked the commun room with the sofa and the TV. The most beautiful moment was in the morning with the view over the mountains and the ocean, with the sun rising !

A lovely place in the middle of nowhere, we had the whole chalet to ourselves and cooked in the kitchen which was well stocked and very clean.
no staff for check in, in the winter made it feel cold and lonely. Key was not in the key safe but was sat on the radiator inside, front door doesn’t lock.

Our double room with private bathroom was an excellent choice. It had almost everything we needed - it's spacious, very cosy, there's a kind of anteroom where you can hang the jackets, shoes or leave some food which needs lower temperature. Hosts are friendly, the location is quiet but sometimes rainy and very windy.
Usually it was possible to park the car just in front of our room.
Famous hot tubes in Drangsnes are just a short ride away - I really recommend an evening visit.
The main disadvantage of the room with private bathroom is that you cannot use the public kitchen in the other building - in the room there's only a very small kettle.

Great guesthouse common area and shared kitchen. Shared bathrooms very clean, beds comfy. The rooms are small but not unbearably so. Great location.

Location was nice. Place was clean and staff was polite.
Television looked like someone took a hammer to it. Screen was broken and we had angry kids who couldn't watch a movie after we had promised them a nice quiet night of movies and popcorn before bed.

Big open windows in front of the sea! You wake up in a dream. We went to the hot spring at night, the starts were so bright and after we saw the northen lights, just amazing!
The room is big and warm.
The staff was really nice, a perfect stay

Room was warm and comfortable. The guest cabin looked over the sea and felt very private. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and food at the restaurant was very good. Breakfast was great and had plenty of choice. We got lucky and saw an amazing Northern lights display right outside our room. Incredible.

We stayed at Malarhorn Guesthouse when traveling through the Westfjords. The man working at the restaurant was our main point of contact during our stay. He gave us some ideas of what to do because we arrived the weekend of a snowstorm. The room was clean and spacious enough for all our bags. The heating was also perfect and they have a glass patio space which we used as a refrigerator to store our food. Breakfast was wonderful - the best we had compared to other hotels and Guesthouses we stayed at.
The night we arrived it was dark and snowing. We arrived at 9pm which was much before the final check in time of 11pm. We went to several doors which were locked and called them. The man on the phone was confused and did not help. We were in the parking lot and no one came to help us. Then a lady answered the phone and told us how to get into our cabin. But once again, no one was there in person to check us in or help us out upon arrival.

We had an amazing stay. We were in a house with shared facilities with 4 rooms in total. However the other 3 rooms were empty so we had a massive house to ourselves. We used the BBQ in the veranda (which was gas powered so it needed minimal prep) and had a nice time watching the great view and having great food. Also the restaurant was nice and we enjoyed a few beers there. The place had a nice chill vibe and the host was cool and professional. Breakfast was also cool and complementary so we were overall feeling very well taken care of. The room was small, but it was well designed, so there was no space issue and it was clean and cozy. The village has hot tubs that we visited and out whole stay felt easy and pleasant.
Some devices in the house (TV) were a bit banged up so we used out laptop for wanting movies instead.

The host was so incredible! We checked in late and the restaurant was already closed; despite that he offered us a wonderful fish soup, one of the best we tasted in the country!
The bathroom is a little messy (the draining was not efficient and it ended up flooding the bathroom) and the AC was not working properly.
