A good night’s sleep!

The B&B is in a quiet location less than 5 minutes walk from the beach and eateries etc. The room called ‘Seatown’ contains twin beds and has tea-making facilities, TV and free WiFi. The bed was comfortable. The private bathroom is directly opposite, across a narrow corridor and has shower, bath and toilet and is very well appointed. A lounge is available for use by guests. Friendly staff.

The fact that Lossiemouth has seagulls can hardly count against ‘Jomarnic’! Obviously, private bathroom facilities are best contained within the same room but I wasn’t inconvenienced at all.

A horrible experience to find the door closed while nobody bothers.

Nothing was liked because the B&B didn't bother to accomodate me. I can give only one recommendation: avoid this place!

Upon arrival in the time-bracket given during the booking I found the B&B closed. The telephone number I should call could not be reached because it was obviously wrong. I called the number as given in my booking confirmation. I got an answering machine and up to now, 5 days later, they haven't bothered to call me back.

Super, quiet location with on road parking. Getting a key at check in time so I could come back later easily without worrying about bothering the owners.

Never again

The only positive thing I can say is that everything was spotlessly clean.

When I got there I rang the bell and nobody answered. I continued to ring the bell. I ended up knocking on the door and peering in through the windows, knocking on them too. There was a key safe to the right of the door and underneath it a note informed me that if I didn`t have the code to ring this number so I did. Nobody answered. I checked the number and tried again, still no answer. I had been sent text message offering me the self-catering apartment for my stay at the same price as my room and I remembered there were two phone numbers on there. I rang the second number. Again, nobody answered. So, it was back to knocking on windows and on the door. Dogs were barking quite loudly somewhere within the property. I really didn`t know what I was going to do. It was after five and I was meeting the others for a meal half past six. Then all of a sudden, the front door opened and a woman appeared, from where I don’t know. She informed me that she was a friend of the business owner and I told her I hadn`t been able to get an answer on the phone numbers I had and that I was late and needed to get in and have a shower as I was going out for a meal at half past six. She mentioned something about an email which I found later on when I had time to look. It had been sent at ten to nine that morning informing me that it was self-service check in and giving me the code for the key safe and it also told me where my room was. Well that`s all very well if you`re checking your emails every hour or so but when you’re out in the field on a geology trip checking emails is not a priority. Lots of people don`t check their emails even daily. That information should have been passed on much earlier than that morning. It said to reply to the email to confirm that it had been received and read so they must have known it hadn’t been. It was on to breakfast next. I asked where did I go for breakfast and was about to ask about times. No breakfast. There is more but I have run out of space.

The way the room was easy access, it was clean, spacious and modern, I go to many different B+Bs and jomarnic has a couple of features (music and TV) that nowhere else has

A pleasant stay.

Location was excellent, just a few minutes walk to the sea front and the local restaurants/pubs. Wi-Fi was very good and the room was clean and reasonably spacious. Shower was very good and the Amazon fire stick for the TV meant we had Netflix etc. as well as the Freeview channels. Hosts were very accommodating and made the trip very enjoyable

There was no cooked breakfast on offer but we knew that before we booked. Continental style breakfast was available but at an extra £ 5.50 per person. We opted to drive to Elgin (5 miles away) for a Wetherspoon breakfast that was cooked and also cheaper. Would have been nice at £70 a night to have had a cooked breakfast included.

Spoiled what should have been a nice short break.

Showed the lady my booking confirmation, and booked a breakfast. Went a walk & on returning found that all my belongings had been moved to another room, they said that someone else had already booked the original room. Not happy about my stuff being moved when I was'nt present. The following morning the owner was very hostile towards me, said she never got told that I had ordered breakfast, accused me of not paying for it (I had'nt eaten it at this point) she said I was room only. I did eat and pay for the breakfast. I remarked to the owner that she was'nt being very pleasant, and she said she had been diagnosed with depression. No excuse for being so rude. She was ok with the other guests. Mistakes with booking etc can happen, but can always be sorted out respectfully.

Not what was advertised

Wifi, Netflix, friendly owners.

No hot breakfast (false advertising on Booking.com). Tiny room, shouldn't cram 3 people inside. Poor sound proofing, could hear the neighbour guest snoring and coughing. Poor location.

Nice quiet area, pleasant and friendly staff, bathroom well equipped and beds were comfy.

Location was good for us as we were visiting family less then 15 minutes walk away.

Good location. Room was warm with very good touches, but quite small size.

Private bathroom was across a hall. No cooked breakfast available. Texted host but no response. Beds were on the hard side.

Disappointed

Unfortunately nothing

We booked B&B but had to pay extra for breakfast £10 which was very poor we had 1 slice of bread between 2 , I sm carton of orange juice between 2 1teabag each , and a rendition of Scottish music during breakfast by the owner playing an accordion , not my idea of a relaxing morning

Quiet location, welcoming, clean and quirky.

Location was easy to find and had parking on roadside. Room and bathroom was clean and well appointed. Stand in hosts were welcoming and friendly. Self service breakfast of cereal/yogurt/toast was on offer (not cooked breakfast as in online photos). Thoughtful bits and pieces around bathroom and quirky decor.

My daughter slept well but I found the mattress uncomfortable- felt every spring.

Did not have breakfast, thought we could order breakfast the night before we wanted it but because we had not booked it before going the hosts went away on holiday and we just had to go out for our breakfast.
