What a wonderful room, wonderful view, wonderful breakfast, and perfect hosts!

Nice, clean & tidy room. Good view, nice people.
A summer duvet would have been handy - the room was very warm - although the fan helped.

We stayed in the Gilpin flat which had two bedrooms and a kitchen lounge area. The beds were comfy with views over the pretty street and the lounge had views over the river. The place couldn’t have been cleaner, and the kitchen was stocked with all the pans and utensils needed, as well as tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oil, salt+pepper, and a few other things. We only spoke to Beth briefly but she was lovely and welcoming. The flat is right in the centre of ross, being a 2 min walk to the high street one way and river the other. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Location was good town, loved how quirky it was.
There was no personal touch, no greeting, just odd for a small guest house.

Easy short walk to the river and the centre of town. Room was large and had a leather lounge to relax on, views over the river and exposed oak beams. Spotless and tea and coffee facilities. Beakfast was cooked to order by Beth and she's a great host - even loaned me her local walking trails guide. Would stay again.
If you're infirm the stairs to the room would be a challenge - ok for me though. No off-street parking but again, the on street parking is manageable

Excellent location, the property was very clean charming and with lots of character. Beautiful country views from our room window. Beth was friendly and very helpful. The full English breakfast she prepared was delicious.

Although small, the Gilpin Flat was modern, clean and well-equipped. It was in an excellent location for a short 2 minute walk to town or to the river. Parking was not a problem as we always managed to find a space just down the road where we could park for up to 4 hours.
It was great for just a couple of nights but probably a bit too cosy for a week. Also, we didn't cook at all so can't comment on the kitchen.

Large room, light and airy. Took a few minutes to work out how to open/close windows but fine once we did. Breakfast was excellent. Really good sausages and bacon. Very friendly owners. Iron and board available outside the room.
Not sure anything, really.

attractive exterior and a very clean and comfortable interior.
Very central location. The proprietor Beth was charming and informative .Excellent breakfast with a nice touch introducing fresh strawberries and pineapple.
Nothing much - possibly the provision of a radio in the room.Car parking close to the residence was a problem at times
but this is not controllable by the owners and there is a reasonably priced public car park about 8 minutes away.
4.5 / 5.0
The friendly and welcoming nature of Beth, the owner. The location and view from our bedroom. The excellent breakfast we had
The limited parking adjacent to the property which necessitated parking overnight in a pay and display car park about 300yds away
