fully equipped clean comfy and central at a reasonable price....beautiful Ross and surroundings....
its rare nowadays to stay in such a well equipped and comfy place so it was a joy to stay here. It was spotlessly clean and homely. I think owners should be made to stay in there own rentals for at least a weekend just to see all the things that are absent or dont work etc
its a personal preference.....i dont like scented washing powder. The real fresh smell of clean linen far outweighs a chemical ly induced sickly sweet smell of lavender etc

Great location
Excellent location. The town is within a few minutes walk. Lots of shops, eateries and pubs within walking distance. Also plenty of country walks accessible on foot without having to drive anywhere first. Within a 10 - 5 minute drive you can access the Forest of Dean and explore King Arthur caves and the site where the TV series Merlin was filmed. Gloucester, Cheltenham and Cotswolds are all just a short drive away too.
The inside of the cottage is quite dated and it did smell damp and musty on entering. Some of the glasses and cutlery were dirty and the towels had an odd smell too. Downstairs the electric fire in the lounge warms the cottage lovely and there are electric heaters upstairs in both bedrooms. The mattresses on the beds aren't the comfiest. The cold tap on the bath doesn't run and so if you run a bath you have to use the shower to cool it down.

Cold!
Price reflects that the Property is dated. No central heating. Where there are storage heaters they were very effective. Upstairs rooms quite chilly. It was a very cold weekend. Freezing fog. Heavy frost. Chairs very comfortable in lounge. Bed very comfortable. Fantastic location. Great to be able to take the dog. Will book again

Well worth the visit, would definitely recommend.
Great location tucked away in a really quiet spot but only minutes from the town and local amenities in one direction, and with the river just a few minutes' walk away in the other direction. Cottage was very comfortable, warm and well equipped.
No complaints at all.

Fabulous
Being so close to the centre of Ross with no noise suited us very well. The cottage had everything we needed to cook simple meals and Ross-on-Wye had plenty of places. The Christmas Market was great.
Tbere are pkenty of electric heaters in addition to the storage heaters and we used them
