Nichts
Bad Wasserhahn ohne Wasser . Echt schlimm

It's not fare for the price, too noisy cuz the place is located in a busy area almost all the night hearing cars, room extreamly small and poor service. The manager is really annoying and I made a claim for the room and tried to request the refund for the 2nd night and didn't receive assitance until called booking for the solitude.

The place was much bigger and more private than I expected; it was an entire private apartment with a kitchen area, bathroom, living room space, etc. which was incredible for the price.

The people were really nice even though we arrived very late and tried to help us when we had issues with our car. The breakfast was okay.
I do not recommend the room we stayed in. It was just on level 1 and was facing the road and it was very very noisy with trafic. there is not any double glazing. It gave us the impression that we were sleeping without any windows. The fridge was also very noisy and we had to unplug it.
It did not seem to be like that for the other rooms.

Quiet; near lovely university.
Room small—bunk bed obstructs view of TV. But nice TV in small lounge.

The staff was very nice, breakfast also ok for the price that you pay.
the building, the rooms are too old, it needs to be renovated, also very loud, you hear everything from the street as well as from people who talk in the hotel (they don't scream.. just talk). Sound Isolation is bad.. ear plugs is a must for sleep..

Lovely European-style boutique hotel with a lot of character in a charming neighborhood. Wonderful location if you have business at the University; very safe area close to shopping and restaurants. Everyone at the hotel was kind, helpful, friendly, and welcoming. I had my laundry done when I first arrived, which was done perfectly, very quickly, and for a great price. The breakfasts were always generous and delicious, and I really appreciated the carefully curated art in the common areas. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend Casa Echavarria to anyone visiting San Jose.

Nice staff
Size of room, not very clean, probably the worst shower I have ever used

Cozy hotel, close to University of Costa Rica at San José, located in San Pedro. Walkable to the nearest mall (Mall San Pedro - around 15 minutes walking from the hotel), by car it is at 10-15 minutes far away from San José down town. My arriving flight was very early, and they provided me an available room despite I arrived very early morning. Nice breakfast (the common breakfast included gallo pinto -beans and rice-, eggs and fruits, but they offered me several options for breakfast). Lovely staff.
The ceiling fan worked when you turned the room light on, and sometimes it was not necessary. It would be awesome if the working of the fan would be independent of the switch of the room light.

noise, rooms are right on a busy street with lots of traffic . poorly maintained, staff nowhere to be seen, charged me twice, or charged me for a service I never got.

The owner was super helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was plenty and very good. Nice communal area with lots of couches and tables
The room was very small, this isn't a big problem though if you're planning on being out and about during the day

The localization
The beds are a lot of noise

The only place I stayed in SJ but I stayed a few times. Small but well looked after and clean rooms. Very Covid aware! Friendly staff too.
Couldn’t get the sink tap to work properly.
