Exceptional Room in the middle of the Nature

Extremely good location in the middle of the nature and very friendly and helpful staff. It's not a luxorious room, but it is perfectly fine, comfortable, quite big and very clean.

The air conditioner would sometime turn itself on/off automatically during the night

Caterina and her husband welcome you as if you are part of the family. The room is very spacious and clean and there is a very nice garden to enjoy staying at the open air. You feel like at home. The place is very quiet and there is a parking lot.

The hosts are very friendly and nice people. It is our second stay at Porto Lagos Romms and we will be happy to come back again! The room was very spacious and has a view through the window to the sea, where birds gather.

Nice apartment with great location

Very friendly owner who also produces their own olive oil. Apartment was spacious and as described with a small kitchen. Location was great right next to the water with a nice garden and spaces for sitting and relaxing.

Only the shower curtain was a bit short and therefore not super useful, since it meant there was water everywhere on the ground

Great place to stay as a base for seeing the area’s Natural History. Highly recommended.

The location is excellent because the buildings and extensive gardens are separate from others. The garden has a small cafe & is located by a river. The river attracted many species of birds. The accommodation is well known by Birdwatchers who visit in the spring & autumn to see migrant birds passing through.I was allowed free use of a bike by the owner. Thanks again.

It has nothing to do the the accommodation But if you don’t have a car you will have to use a Taxi from Xanthi( if you travelling that way )

A friendly spot, well-located for bird-watching. The rooms are spacious, clean and utilitarian.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the location is perfect for visiting the lagoons. There is a lovely back garden over-looking the water, ideal for breakfast or evening drinks.

Too many mosquitos! Otherwise, it was all fine.

Spacious and quiet room. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice church not far away from the accommodation. National park apparently boasts bird life in April and October.

Facilities in the kitchen are lacking (no pot, cutting board, cutting knife). Generally, the place feels outdated and old. Apart from the church, not much to see in the area. I was shocked to learn that there are extremely thin dogs kept as guard dogs in a nearby factory, which are locked up behind a fence without any food, water or shelter the entire day and night. It’s tragic and horrifying the way animals are treated in Greece…

I recommend Porto Lagos Rooms to anyone visiting the area.

We are a group of Irish brdwatchers who are regular visitors to Macedonia and Thrace. The PL Rooms is a great base for birdwatching in this interesting area. The proprietors are hospitable and helpful. The location is attractive. We will be returning.

Everything was just as it ought to be.
