Приятный во всех отношениях отель. Приехали ночью, не сразу нашли. Но после звонка с помощью таксиста, нас доставившего - разобрались. Уютный дворик... Все в отеле напоминает историю и быт тунисцев. Вкусный завтрак. Приготовили по нашей просьбе вкусный обед.

Will definitely stay again if in Tunis

Everything was great, place, breakfast/dinners, atmosphere, hosts. Thanks to Dar Douads recommendation we used BOLT app to have fast, traceable and cheap taxi rides all over the city. Strongly recommend to use it’s service from airport which will cost around 20 dinars, not more. There is a great shop nearby to buy really nice honey, nuts, olive oil, etc… check the name of the shop with hosts

A dream

Stunning place, both interior and exterior. When you walk through the port you enter a different world. Your eyes, your nose and all your senses will be forever grateful you chose this place. A true oasis. Also make sure to have dinner in one night. It’s a lot but I guarantee you will try to finish everything. The owner and the staff are all super sweet and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I’m so glad I found this gem and I will be back for sure.

Mi é piaciuto tutto, l'accoglienza, i sorrisi, la gentilezza, la qualità del servizio, Tutto davvero super soddisfacente! Non ho potuto fare colazione perché sono partita prestissimo, anche se mi avevano preparato delle cose per consentirmi di mangiare qualcosa prima di partire. Sono certissima sarebbe stata ottima!!!

Solo un po' di rumore che arrivava dalla strada sottostante, ma il letto era così comodo che poi mi sono comunque addormentata.

Ein Muss für einen Aufenthalt in Tunis, eines der besten Guesthouses, die ich je besucht habe!

Tolle Menschen, gemütliche Zimmer, fantastisches Frühstück und Abendessen und eine wunderschöne, detailreiche Architektur. Das ist eine der schwierigeren Bewertungen, die ich schreiben kann - denn ich wüsste nicht, wo ich anfangen sollte! Dar Souad war ehrlich gesagt einer der besten Orte, an denen ich in den fast 50 Ländern, die ich besucht habe, übernachtet habe. Das Wichtigste sind natürlich die Menschen, und die sind von Anfang bis Ende fantastisch! Die Familie, die Dar Souad betreibt, ist super nett und war sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und interessant und hat dafür gesorgt, dass man sich wie zu Hause fühlt. Natürlich wird der Slogan "Your Home Away From Home" oft verwendet, aber in diesem Fall kommt es der Sache schon echt nah! Wir haben echte lokale Tipps bekommen, wo wir einkaufen oder essen gehen können, und wir haben sogar unseren Aufenthalt in Südtunesien mit Farah geplant. Die Zimmer sind mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet, waren geräumig genug, hatten separate Bäder und wurden jeden Morgen gereinigt. Ursprünglich wollten wir 3 Nächte bleiben, aber am Ende blieben wir eine Woche. Wir haben in zwei verschiedenen Zimmern geschlafen, die beide einen ganz eigenen Charakter hatten und uns beiden gut gefallen haben. Ein weiteres Highlight war das Essen! Zum Frühstück gab es allerlei tunesische Köstlichkeiten wie hausgemachte Orangen- und Granatapfelmarmelade, selbstgemachtes Brot und unsere neue Lieblingscreme namens Bsissa, die natürlich auch hausgemacht ist. Das Abendessen, das man reservieren kann, ist fantastisch und sein Geld wert, umfasst 3-4 Gänge und wird von Raja und ihrem Team mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Liebe Grüße und vielen Dank an Farah, Feriel, Raja, Willie und alle anderen, die diesen Aufenthalt so besonders gemacht haben!

Struttura accogliente ed arredata con gusto, sembra di essere ospiti in casa di amici. Le camere accoglienti e spaziose, un bel patio dove rilassarsi. Ottima ed abbondante la colazione, tipicamente tunisina. Posizione strategica e tranquilla, pochi passi da ristoranti, bar, spiaggia. Le titolari disponibili ad aiutarti in qualsiasi momento. Consigliato per un soggiorno a La Marsa.

Le scale per raggiungere le camere, piccoli lavori di manutenzione ordinaria nelle camere.

Een heerlijke rustige, vriendelijke en sfeervolle plek als uitvalbasis voor excursies in Tunesie.

Ik zou dit eigenlijk geen hotel willen noemen. Het is meer een mooi huis met een aantal kamers voor de gasten en een verzamelplek beneden waar je wat kunt drinken of eten. Je komt er in een warm bad zouden we zeggen in Nederland. Een plek waar je zonder zorg al je spullen kunt laten liggen. Ik had vervoer geregeld voor dag-excursies in Tunesie en was van plan een paar avonden buiten de deur te gaan eten en een van de restaurants in de buurt of aan het strand. Maar daar kwam het niet van omdat de eigenaresse de eerste dag vroeg of ik wilde blijven eten. Dat was heerlijk! Ook de tweede dag was het wederom heerlijk. De derde dag wilde in eigenlijk naar een vis-restaurant in de buurt, maar besloot ik toch te blijven omdat ik me er echt thuis voelde. En wederom fantastisch. De dames in de keuken zijn tovenaars. Het ontbijt is heerlijk. Kortom als je voor een goede prijs een leuk rustig onderkomen wilt, zonder de onpersoonlijkheid in de high end toeristen hotels, dan moet je hier wezen. Sfeer, thuisgevoel, eenvoudig, vriendelijk.

Wir kommen gern wieder 💙

Das Frühstück war sehr authentisch und reichhaltig 💙 Wir haben tolle Gespräche mit der Gastgeberin und den Gästen der Unterkunft geführt. An einem Abend gab es sogar live-Musik, sehr romantisch.

Teilweise war die Kommunikation mit dem Personal auf englisch von Verständigungsschwierigkeiten geprägt, da wir weder französisch noch arabisch sprechen

Breakfast is very good, the hotel is very nicely decorated and the swimming pool (althought small) is very pleasant on a hot day! The room we had was small but big enough as it had some good storage space

Small things could be improved, especially given the price. The patio does not feel like a place you can spend a lot of time in (during the day) as the owners are often there working. It makes the place feel less intimate and you almost feel unwelcome to stay/ almost as if you're disturbing. More separation could be put to make it feel cosier, and more sunloungers could also be provided. We also had to ask for our balcony chairs to be cleaned (which they did very quickly), but for a hotel at this price, those kind of small things should be done when the room is prepared. Also, dinner was excellent but very expensive.

Relaxing stay, beautiful place

Wonderful experience. Large, clean room with top-notch facilities. Very friendly staff, excellent homemade breakfast served in the relaxing courtyard. It's also possible to order lunch/dinner with a little advance notice. 10-minute walk from La Marsa beach. Many good restaurants nearby.

The authenticity of the place, the history of the House over centuries, the great taste for high end decoration, the calm, the staff was highly professional, the location is inspiring. In the middle of the old town, all facilities around. The patio is inspiring, fresh, beautiful. Really welcoming owners, speak multi languages and happy to chat and share. Waking up with sunrise at the last floor of the house with beautiful view.

Dar Souad exceeded expectations. It was tranquil and intimate, with great service. I'd go back.

I loved my stay -- I was there for a day or two to relax following a 10-day tour of the country, and it was perfect for that. I felt very welcome, and the courtyard was the perfect spot to read and hang out. The food was also outstanding. Breakfast (included) was lovely, and it was a pleasure to be served rather than having to endure the typical buffet line. For dinner -- grilled fish and couscous -- it felt like I had a personal chef! And the brik and bsissa were some of the best I had during my entire stay in Tunisia.

The cost of dinner was a bit pricey compared with other experiences in and around Tunis, but it was also such an outstanding meal and experience I didn't mind.

the location is around 10-15 minutes walk from Marsa corniche , the facility offers a warm stay with an exce service . I

a friendly atmosphere from all staff , having breakfast at the small garden is amazing , you feel like at home but in a tunisian style which I love ,

my room was tight a little bit without balcony , but due to reservations it was the only one and I wanted to try it , other rooms are better
