Slightly overpriced

Lovely location difficult to find at first as unit 7 privately managed but found eventually. Had a self contained kitchen with all necessities had a pod coffee machine which was a nice surprise. Close to cafes and grocery & public transport. Nice views off bedroom balconies

Good location, attention needed on some areas

The flat is lovely, the location is great, love the area! The washer and dryer is very nice to have and worked very well. There was attention to many small details which were great. There were a few dishwasher tablets, there was a dish sponge and dishcloths. There was some washing powder. Very thoughtful. There was a small carton of milk, a packet of biscuits and a bag of chips, thank you! Everything seemed generally clean.

1.) The name is misleading, it is not a resort, perhaps change it to apartment and indicate on the listing that there is no reception 2.) The windows and the grid at the front door needs cleaning, the shutters also need cleaning 3.) The shower tap needs to be replaced with one mixer - if you need to explain to customers how to get to an adequate water temp, you have a problem…that being said, the instructions do not help much, you have to open the cold water tap in micro increments otherwise you end up with cold water. This really detracts from a stay if one cannot shower without feeling frustrated and when constantly have to help the kids with water temperature. 4.) The basin tap in the bathroom spews everything wet, it also needs to be replaced. 5.) The bedding…I really disliked the bedding, the sheet with a duvet inner (without a duvet cover) and then another sheet on top was very uncomfortable, everything moves around, nothing is secure, and I am not sure, do you wash the duvet inner after every customer? Probably you dont, so I dont want to touch it without a cover, but because it all moves around so much it is almost impossible not to end up with it on a foot or a hand during the night. The sheet in the kids room had a lot of stains, which looked recent and possibly that the sheet was not washed…the top sheet, that really worried me…the duvet inner also had stains and felt / looked dirty. I would strongly recommend a duvet cover for the duvets. 6.) The instructions on check in is really long and complicated and was unexpected as the name was indicated as Scarborough beach resort, I was expecting to find it easily on the gps and as we were traveling internationally we did not always have east access to data.

Great location, needs better cleaning

Location is great- right on the beach front and close to bars, restaurants and shops. Good communication with the managers.

The property was not cleaned to the standard I would expect and they were unable to send housekeeping until day 3 of our 5 day stay so we ended up cleaning the apartment ourselves.

location and view were excellent. pool was good too.beds were very comfortable.

it’s a bit dated now and needs refurbishing. more attention to detail on cleaning would have improved it. no pegs for hanging up washing, missing light bulb in one bedroom lamp.

Felt like an AirBnB property (spoiler...harsh review)

So first off, we have previously stayed at the Seashells next door and, therefore, my review might be slightly harsh. Secondly, all in all, this place gave me the impression of staying at an AirBnB even though it is not stated as an AirBnB. But for likes....onsite parking uncovered, easy access to beach, has it's own pool, across the street from community heated pool, shops, cafes, restaurants and all the amazing things Scarborough has. So from a location perspective, just awesome. Sitting on the balcony in the evening, glass of wine, bottle of beer and watching the sun set over Scarborough Beach. Can recommended the burger bar next door as well as the gelato shop by the roundabout.

Now this is offered as a 2 bedroom / 4 adult apartment. The beds given are your standard double beds. So if you are 2 couples, perfect. If you are parents with young children, also perfect. But if you are parents with 2 teenagers....well, it'll be very cosy. Feel free to check the photos for my next comments. Essentially, everything was dusty. All indoor surfaces needed a good clean. Hob was greasy. Windows and blinds also dirty/dusty. Aircon is in the lounge only, ceiling fans in the bedroom. No wardrobes, so you basically live out of your suitcase. Shower is fixed head style, not the handheld style which is better for kids. So we stayed for 9 days, one bath towel and flannel each and one floor matt. Expectation is to wash them yourselves. This is not a serviced apartment. So anything provided will need to be washed by yourself. We ordered beachtowels as paid extras and they were dropped off inside the apartment whilst we were not there. Now for the kitchen.....one tall glass, 2 small glasses, loads of wine glasses and crockery/cutlery. Expectation would be enough for an entire day, but wasn't enough for one sitting. Didn't use dishwasher as had to wash everything after each meal. Or would be nothing to use for next meal. All in all....my guess is the property wasn't thoroughly checked prior to our arrival. Unless this is the standard it is held too.

Pretty old and tired inside. Pillows aren't great, shower could be a lot better.

Really comfy stay, no issues. A little staycation to celebrate a family 7th birthday. Great spot for the family 2 pools and 2 mins to the beach.

Amazing Place
