Apparently Nothing
The Rooms are very average, and noisy nightly live music.
3.5 / 5.0
Staff very accomodating, rooms were a good size and beds were conformable. Location to beach, shops, coffee shops and other eateries was good.
The noise from the bar area, especially if there is a band playing.
2.0 / 5.0
The location
The bar downstairs was very loud and felt like it was shaking the room for hours on end, the shower head was horrible squirting everywhere with the shower curtain sucking and being all over your, the toilet took about 4-5 times just to flush toilet paper.

location
dinner menu horrible……..
2.5 / 5.0
Nice location, within walking distance from beach, restaurants and shops. Rooms have necessary basics e.g. TV, Air Conditioning, Fridge etc.
Decor is very dated.
Have to ask at reception for shampoo, soap etc.
Live band/s right next to hotel can be quite annoying.

The location was perfect. The reception staff were very friendly.
The windows did not block anywhere near enough of the noise from the band playing so i could not sleep untill after midnight. Also the cock roach running around the bathroom was rather gross to.
3.0 / 5.0
On-site parking is at no extra charge, unlike most other hotels. This was the main selling point.
The spa bath was only big enough for 1 person at a time, and the listing on booking.com didn't mention that, and it was difficult to tell the size from the photos. Property and rooms are a little dated and could do with a refresh.
4.0 / 5.0
Everything was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful.
Was like taking a trip back in time with the decor, there was not even an attempt to modernize and hide the age of the establishment (with the exception of the reverse cycle A/C).
I half expected to see Danny Torrance come scooting down the hallway on his trike!
Come play with us Danny....
The shower pressure was little more than a slow trickle.

The view from balcony of pool area at night.. blue light looks awesome n being on the balcony and seeing the people socialising and dancing in the pool yard to the well chosen music made me enjoy my stay more because I felt the good vibes n energy coming from the crowd .. was a very relaxed holiday feel and the plants looked awesome by the pools n hot tub., loved the old 70’s look too.
Beds weren’t comfy.. my daughter had a really bad sleep and woke up saying the beds are too hard and not comfy.

$206 dollars for a room and no continental breakfast

The staff and pub down stairs. The toastie restaurant was great with good coffee. The size of the room was very good
The shower wasn't great and the toilet seat wasn't stable also the tv isn't updated to watch free to air channels (about half)

I'd been on the road for 4 days and needed to stop and get cleaned up and some good rest. That's what I got. The day staff were more than helpful and had a welcome smile. Perhaps the morning manager could've taken a couple of lessons, but overall a good experience
The morning manager could've cheered up a little and wasn't very helpful. But it didn't spoul the experience too much

The coffee :)

none
too tight rooms, no microwave for a standard room, old facilities and not suitable for the price we paid.

Breakfast was excellent. The room was very comfy & cozy. The location was superb. I loved the facilities, including the swimming pool, spa, pool room, bar and dining room. I also really loved the nostalgic feeling there, as it reminded me of some of my holidays from the 90s. I'm most impressed that the hotel has managed to keep its character. The place is very authentic. The staff were very warm & friendly, and the manager was most accommodating.

Great location
Must be change of management, use to not be charged for the band when staying at the hotel. I’d much prefer the old bistro with proper meals rather than just toasties. And being able to get room service

staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable.
The cost was not value for money. Old and worn out. Further to this the hotel then charged an extra $65 entry for New Year’s Eve celebration and $50 for New Years day which including sitting around the pool.

was clean and in a good location
i didn’t have any hot water. don’t really mind.
$300 for one night it’s pretty steep for a room so small and with no hot water
