We had a super comfortable stay
4.5
Beautiful spacious room, excellent breakfast. Bathroom to die for.
A draft beer available early evening would have sealed the deal.
4.5
A lovely period room, which was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the service at our meals was also first class. It is situated at the centre of Norwich, which was very convenient for shopping.
Unfortunately, they did not serve evening meals.

Location was very central

Decor, art and luxurious style/ architecture of the building
Hospitality provision in the bedroom.
After a journey by train from Essex and a walk from the station I was just looking forward to a cup of tea and a biscuit. The tea was there but no biscuit. Just a boiled sweet from the landing.
The cooked food at breakfast-I had kedgeree-was fairly unappetising. The service was excellent
My husband commented that there were no drinks in the fridge, only water.

Beautiful room-large,light and beautfully decorated.
Fabulous bath-could have stayed there all day.
Excellent breakfast-delicious and hearty.
Nothing to suggest!
4.5
Lovely choice off breakfast, very helpful and friendly staff. Clean and ideally centre too town.
Stair were difficult form older people and walking problems

Room was excellent very clean and had good quality furnishings and everything that you needed for a night’s stay.
4.5
Good location and lovely building, good breakfast, although they no longer have newspapers which is a bit annoying as they always used to and they were well used. staff pleasant, especially the guy who serves breakfast. Have stayed several times in the past and he is always one of the best members of staff. Parking available but can't reserve so car park can be full at busy times. Real milk in fridge, they used to leave individual bottles of water and a shelf, now the shelf has been removed and only a large bottle of water so fridge isn't practical if you want to use for your own drinks. Room 4 has air con unit, which you do need as room gets very stuffy, even though wasn't really hot outside so note if you don't like the sound of air con at night you might struggle as wouldn't want to leave window open due to location.
Room 4 starting to look very shabby loads of scuffs and marks on walls and paint work, just looks tatty and dirty now, although it was clean as in no dust on tables etc (other than shower head), the rugs were dirty one in particular was very bad which is a bit off putting, defintely need your slippers. Also a bedside light only on one side of the bed which is odd. The terrace is fairly overlooked by public car park/wall way as as ground floor you need to keep the voile/curtains closed if you want any privacy. The wi-fi is terrible, I needed to check emails and send a very short email and took about 20 minutes to send the wifi was so slow so pretty non-existent really, it never used to be that bad. Price has gone up a fair bit yet the quality has gone down, it just doesn't feel very special anymore and certainly not worth the room rate based on my stay. Pretty disappointed really as used to be my favourite place to stay in Norwich but has gone downhill. Tiny teacups, okay for coffee machine I guess but useless if you want a cup of tea, poor selection of teabags and coffee. Get some mugs in the rooms please and up the attention to detail and quality to what it used to be.

The staff were fab. Everyone was so friendly and were happy to do anything to help.
Room 11 was very spacious and it was like a home from home (but much bigger!)
My only regret was not booking a room with a bath…. My fault!!!

Location is great! Breakfast has lots of choices! The room is really comfortable! I surely will stay again!
If the hotel has more activities for the guests, it will be perfect!

The room we stayed in was really spacious, comfortable and well equipped.

Location is excellent. The room was nice and very clean.
No bar or reception staff in the evening. Not made made clear at booking.
Rooms not in the main building which wasn't clear at booking. A rainy morning would have made the run to breakfast unpleasant.
Bathroom door broken and wouldn't close - receptionist disinterested and didn't apologise.
Breakfast staff very nice and attentive, but food wasn't great - hollandaise was thick yellow sauce with no taste.
Car parking situation not clarified properly, so be careful not to get a ticket.
For the facilities available, over priced.

Location is great and parking facility. Spacious and well equipped room.
Sofa in the room is a bit uncomfortable and saggy.

beautiful decor. We had a lovely large room overlooking the courtyard with the biggest bath I have ever been in.
The breakfast service was a bit slow.

The room was very spacious with lovely views (room 6) and the bed was the comfiest I have slept in and the pillows were like soft clouds. The bathroom was brilliant. Huge bath and the water supply was powerful. Shower great too. The staff were really friendly but professional and really well trained. The setting was lovely. I had also booked the afternoon tea which was SUPERB!!!
Not being able to book a second night but it is not surprising they were fully booked as it is an excellent establishment.

The little touches were great, the decor and size of the room was lovely, we really enjoyed our stay and will defo recommend to friends and will come back. Thank you

Great location, spacious room, walking distance to most attractions.
booking.com listed air conditioning and parking available at this hotel. There was no air conditioning in my room, and it hit 29 degrees when we were there.
The parking is by voucher in a pay and display car park, which is very small, and no spaces were available when I arrived, so I had to park elsewhere. at my own expense
The in-room mini-fridge barely worked, drinks were nowhere near fridge cold. The staff were happy to supply us with buckets of ice, but these did not last very long in the heat.
There is free wi-fi, but it's very slow, the best I could get was 1.4 Megabits on Speedtest in our room.
