Cleanliness, location, comfort and welcoming hosts.
Nothing.

Everything. Beautiful house itself. The appartements are lovely decorated, comfortable, large, well equipped, ...
Nice garden around the house which can be used.
A very delicious breakfast can be ordered.
Extremely friendly and helpful landlords.
Nothing except the small roads with high hedges in the whole area, but that's normal in the countryside.

Beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Comfortable and well equipped.

In beautiful surroundings, the lodge was spotlessly clean. Enjoyed the scones with cream and jam on arrival.
No complaints.

Location was lovely as was the property but due to attending a wedding we didn't have time to look around the area properly. Loved the cream tea waiting for us when we arrived!
The only problem we had was having to remove our shoes on arrival. The lobby area in which to do that was quite small and it would have been made easier if a small stool had been provided. Not everyone (including myself) has the balance to do that standing up. A broom would have been useful to sweep up in that area too

Self catering - everything we needed. Very peaceful setting with lovely grounds to wander around.

The hosts made us feel welcome to use their gardens which were lovely and peaceful and made for a relaxing stay. Exceptionaly clean and a very comfortable bed. Welcomed with a cream tea and introduced us to Exmoor Tea - so good we had to buy some to bring home.

Lovely lodge and gardens, nice hosts.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Good location to explore Exmoor and visit a variety of surrounding locations.

We stayed for a week in Kestrel Lodge, which is on the first floor, accessed by external wooden staircase. This wasn’t a problem for us at all. The apartment itself was beautifully presented and extremely well provisioned with top quality equipment. Lovely grounds, very peaceful. We loved the cream tea awaiting us on arrival!
Nothing, it was perfect.

Lovely location, helpful hosts and quiet
Not really a problem with the accommodation but because I arrived by bicycle I struggled to get to shops, restaurants etc. No taxi service. However, hosts were very helpful and provided me with food.

The cottage was quite and peaceful.

The location is so quit and peaceful. Surrounded by nature. We met Mike (the owner) and thank you so much for helping us with everything. The road book helped us a lot. And thank you to your wife Michele for the wonderful scones upon arrival
That we had to leave 😥

Great location for Exmoor and North Devon coast. Devon cream tea on arrival very thoughtful.

Very cosy without being small, fireplace makes for a wonderful warm evening cuddled on the sofa with a movie, fast enough wifi to stream netflix without any issues.
Perfect for a couples holiday to get away from life for a few days.
Nothing to not like other than that we couldn't stay for longer and some of the wood provided was a little bit damp (it is winter and fresh from the log shed so that's understandable) so it was occasionally a little difficult to get the fire going but it just took a spot of patience and persistence.

An exceptional stay. Really warm and cosy but generously proportioned. Nicely furnished. Excellent heated entrance hall for hanging wet coats after a day on the moors. Really well equipped kitchen. It was a home away from home but such a treat. Enjoyed a hot bath after a chilly day on the moors. Lovely liquid soap provided, and delicious tea and ground coffee. Next time I will bring a blanket to cosy up with on the sofa while enjoying a brew.
The pressure in the electric shower is not amazing, but you can have a bath if you want a decent dunking!
4.7
Spotlessly clean and very comfortable, lovely bedding, great showers, nice toiletries and well kitted out kitchen, warm and cosy, easy drive to Tarr Steps and Exmoor pony centre. Homemade cream tea on arrival, good parking, lovely grounds, we loved everything!
Nothing at all.

Very peaceful setting, loved the summer house overlooking the grounds.
Very comfortable accommodation.
4.7
Well maintained, clean and comfortable accommodation.
I wasn't a fan of the single track lanes around the area but this shouldn't reflect negatively on Knapp House Lodges as it's clearly not their fault. Just don't drive a shiny new car around here as it will end up scratched!
Another gripe, again nothing to do with Knapp House Lodges was the endless flies. We opened the window whilst we were there and around 40 flies flew in!
4.7
Excelkent cream tea provided on arrival. A brakfast box was available to purchase containing local produce bread and homemade preserves tea/coffee butter and milk. The quality was superb.
The accomodation Hunters Lodge was very spacious and very well equipped with everything you needed to make your stay comfortable.
4.7
Really cosy accommodation, wonderfully comfortable beds! Cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch ☺️
