Excellent location, excellent outlook and interior - you feel like you are in the middle of a calm and quiet green lush....the woods, stones all were good
Wifi password given without wifi login...tried all the available networks with that password, none of them worked..had to use mobile hotspots for two days to my office works

Great location, open holiday home with a good feel. Lovely gardens, even though needing some attention. We had an awesome time there.
Soda beds upstairs & downstairs need attention - not comfortable at all. More lighting is required throughout the house, especially over the table & in the kitchen, plus no exhaust fan over stove. Could do with a good thorough clean throughout house.

Brought all our own food, drinks. Good kitchen facilities.
Conveniently located to access all tourist spots around Ballarat.

Beautiful property from the moment you enter the electric gate to the grounds and home. My family and I had a fabulous couple of days here and have already booked a repeat trip to experience this amazing place in the warm weather so we can appreciate the outdoor spaces as well. Hosts are very helpful and communication was on point. Thanks for providing a great weekend getaway, we felt like we were away from the hustle and bustle whilst also having all the city amenities within a 10min drive.

Beautiful house and gardens, open fire as well as a very good electric/gas fire that completely warmed the house even after we'd turned it off overnight it still kept the rooms warm.
The driveway was a bit of a struggle! Long and winding with bushes and rocks/wall on the sides with a garden step that jutted out made it difficult to quickly get in and out

Day bed in second loft was ok but a double bed would be more comfortable

Located in a quiet street, surrounded by lush gardens. Well-equipped kitchen and great heating.
The mattresses on the larger beds were so hard that two of our party had to buy inflatable mattresses to put on top of their bed! Also, 5 out of the 6 of us tripped on the step down from the dining area (it is so close to the table and chairs that your brain doesn’t get a chance to register that it’s there). One adult tripped twice on the same night!

property was great! very cozy for our family of four. the house suited our needs and had wood to light a fire one night. we will definitely return.
unfortunately the upstairs over bed light and fan wasn’t working so it did get quite hot after a while and was difficult to circulate air. also, the upstairs toilet door kept sliding off the tracks but nothing that can’t be overcome in the future. just a couple of minor maintenance fixes.

It was cute and cozy with lovely gardens even though some of the plants were not real.
It is in a suburban street however is nicely tucked away behind the gate. Lots of character with the open fireplace.
Location was a bit further out of the main street than we thought.
Shower was disappointing and only having a toilet upstairs in the ensuite was not the best.
Disappointing that there was only one bedroom that was closed off and what was classified as 2 bedrooms upstairs were open with the day bed upstairs not full size.
Disappointing that there was not enough firewood for 2 nights and we were told we had to purchase more wood if we wanted more. We had both the gas heater and reverse cycle heater going to keep the place warm.
Some decent wine glasses would have been nice.

was a little dark inside even with the lights on.... there was no cooking oil or salt and pepper as advertised so the food we bought couldn't be cooked the first night till we bought some. also i believe a possum of some sort may be living in the trees or something around and would be on the roof constantly durring the nights

Property was secure with a gate which was great with our dog.
There was only one milk in the fridge for our 2 night stay. Normally we have seen one small carton per night for tea and coffee facilities. There was hand soap in the shower when again we probably would expect body wash with shampoo and conditioner. We found the place quite dusty overall which triggered some asthma from my younger son. We used the split system for warm air since the night became chilly but it had a loud rattling sound. The main double bed was very uncomfortable and lacked support.

Unusual,quirky
No real privacy for 2 couples.Noisy upstairs floor when anybody moved around day and night.Lighting was very dull and step-down from dining to kitchen was dangerous as you couldn't notice it .We had a few times nearly fell over.Downstairs bedroom light way too low and hit it a number of times going in and out of room.Flyscreen door on upper bedroom had sharp nails sticking through on inside of door and dangerous.Cut finger when pushing open.

Stonehenge is a large & secluded home with plenty of privacy, the inside of the home is generally quite lovely. The location is convenient.
My husband & I spent time sweeping & cleaning down the outdoor area & bbq (which unfortunately is left out in the weather) only to find no gas left. We then had to cook inside but noticed three very burnt out fry pans left in pantry, we then sourced an electric fry pan which was also left covered in grease so had to wash this extensively before use. New fry pans for guests to cook on would be a good addition.

the location was good.
private with plenty of space.
the property / gardens were not well kept , leaves all over the pathway & the garden was wilted & dying. ( tried to water & sweep whilst there..shouldn’t have to have done that, travelling from interstate) The outdoor setting was very dirty , table had to be cleaned several times. There were still Christmas decorations up..some
beds weren’t made up & it wasn’t very clean.
not enough wood for the fire place..
the fire place guard was very unstable and fell on my ankle, leg & hand causing deep bruising.
the shower base was in disrepair & the air conditioner was very noisy.
When outdoors the next door neighbour’s dog barked continually …
My daughter & I were extremely disappointed .

The fireplace was amazing and there was kindling and wood for two nights. The pantry was well stocked and tea and coffee provided. The facilities were good and the house was very warm and inviting.
The showerhead wasn't the best with spraying water efficiently and the fan in the bathroom was very loud.

Overa;ll cleanliness of the property was poor, air conditioner was noisy, no soap in shower, there appeared to be an issue with bees inside the property and noticed a hive outisde. in the roof pf the property.

Very secluded and comfortable
Hard to find the right light switches. Kitchen light at front door took most of the weekend to find. Front door handle without deadlock did not close. While someone was walking upstairs a light globe fell onto one of the kids heads in the kitchen. Globe is sitting on kitchen table

Lovely quite retreat surrounded by beautiful gardens in the suburbs. Beautifully decorated cottage with lovely touches for guest comfort like good crockery and a coffee machine. Gas heater as well as aircon for temperature control. Wonderful comfy beds with good quality linen.
Minor details like heat lamp in bathroom and outside light not working. Also paving slippery with moss due to wet weather. But would definitely stay again.

A delightful little cottage with lots of character. Well presented, clean and lovely bed linen. Kitchen well stocked with utensils and dishes. Felt like a home away from home. Gardens had many little private areas to sit and relax.
It really is a beautiful space in lovely secluded surroundings. Very quiet. Not far into town and close to a shopping centre that has everything you need.
It is advertised as a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom listing. In fact it has a family bathroom downstairs and a powder room upstairs. The master bedroom is an open loft upstairs, the 2nd bedroom is effectively a retreat off the master bedroom which has a divan and is again an open loft. There is only 1 bedroom with a door therefore minimal privacy if that is what you need. It is also advertised as wheelchair friendly but has a step into the bathroom and the toilet is way too small to support a wheelchair.
The house is still lovely but double check if it meets your needs. I would stay again but not as 3 single friends who expected the privacy of 3 bedrooms and convenience of 2 showers. Owner kindly came to make up sofa bed in the lounge to provide us with some separated sleeping quarters but seemed surprised that we didn't understand the sleeping configurations from the photos.

It’s a cozy, beautiful house with every amenity and located in a convenient location (5-10mins to every major central Ballarat location). Loved the fireplace & mature gardens. Felt like we were staying in a house nestled amongst nature.
Wifi is tad slow and bed was a bit hard, but lots of soft pillows and a warm doona. Still winning overall! :)

Really lovely accommodation. Fully equipped with everything you need. Wood and kindling provided for the fireplace or firepit. Fridge keeps the beer ice cold. Many sitting areas amongst the beautiful gardens. Kitchen has all the essentials to cook whatever you like. BBQ out back with a gas bottle ready to go. Two heaters inside to keep the place nice and toasty if you don't like using the fireplace.

Cosy and warm - heating had been turned on before we arrived on a cold rainy night ☺️
Needs a bit more lighting on paths - was a bit dark when we arrived at night
