Guesthouse is located in a quiet village with authentic 12th century towers. The view from the room was stunning. The hostess serves homemade food for breakfast and dinner (at additional cost).
The access to the property in winter time is quite complicated - 4 wheeler is needed to get there.

Great modern room with beautiful views from the balcony. The people are very kind and helpful. The courtyard is a nice place to hangout in the sun. The best food we had on our walk.
Nothing

We got a mobile heater because the room was so cold.
The shower is right next to the toilet. If you have a shower the whole (little) bathroom is underwater and won't dry for hours. If you need to go to the toilet your feed will always get wet. Don't forget to take the paper out of the room before showering.
The room was very small and cold.
The dinner was ok but expensive and not worth the price. We paid 200 gel for dinner, breakfast and one night. At other geusthouses we paid half the price for better and more.
We needed to go back to mestia and the owner took us there for 80 gel for the drive what is just horrible expensive

The property and setting are totally incredible!!

I loved the location, so close to the Mestia-Ushguli trail. Dinner was lovely and very delicious! I didn't have breakfast, but when I came back after a heavy storm they offered me some small pancakes and tea, so sweet! My room had a small balcony, it was very comfortable, as was the bath room. Would definitely recommend this place!
Nothing!

Particularly loved the swings in the garden!
Could have done with more information on arrival re meals, drinks, prices, WiFi etc

We enjoyed our stay at Maia's guesthouse a lot. Maia and her family are great hosts. The room was clean and with nice views.
We also liked the big garden where you can chill out. It's the perfect place to relax after many hours of hiking!
Food was great and the atmosphere really nice.

The food (especially dinner) was very good but also relatively expensive (40GEL for dinner, 30GEL for breakfast), they have a beautiful garden featuring a traditional Svanetian tower. We had a small balcony.

Really comfy rooms and carefully laid out. hosted by a cute family
tried to charge us 35 gel for breakfast (should be max $8 usd, according to booking). This was the only part of the experience that was iffy, otherwise, great stay. thanks for the nice lamps and comfortable pillows

Wonderful host family, delicious dinner and breakfast, great location. A true oasis. We even got a bowl of fresh raspberries when we arrived from our hike.
We didn't get the exact family room we booked which caused some confusion, but had a great time nonetheless.

The room is new, good bed and furniture with a small balcony and fantastic mountain view. Private bathroom. Best dinner and breakfast of my whole trek to Ushguli. They also have a big yard.

The room was clean, and we had a private bathroom that was good.
I was a bit unhappy about paying extra money for dinner and breakfast, but I was wrong. The food was really good, and it was so much that I could not eat more.
They were really friendly with us, charing drinks and good stories.
Was a good stop to continue our ushguli hike.

This family owned guesthouse was the perfect stay after our hike. The location was closer to the path to Adishi for our next day hike than the more known Zabeshi village. Great hospitality by our warm hosts included a very clean room and the tastiest homemade food we've eaten in Georgia so far! It was much appreciated that they helped us next day when we got back because of rain.

Awesome location and views from the balcony and comfy bed.
Bathroom smelled a bit bad, but you are not spending a lot of time there.

Extremely uncomfortable beds and small rooms.

The property was lovely with a big garden to relax and admire the view. The rooms were comfortable and a good size. The WiFi connection was good. They prepared a big variety of tasty dishes for dinner. Breakfast was also good with a big variety of dishes.
There was a not so pleasant smell in the bathroom but it seems like it is the same in most small villages in the mountains.

The old house, garden, defense tower it's all gorgeous.
Guga (landlord) and Mariame (family membre) are welcoming.
The room was clean and bright.
Homemade honey and jam are delicious.
1. We couldn't sleep/rest.
Kids were shouting till midnight while people (guests but not only) were drinking and speaking loud.
Guest's kids woke us up at 6am shouting and going up and down the metal staircase for an hour.
We had warned that were tired of the walk with heavy backpacks on a hot day and couldn't rest.
Sleep deprivation ruined the trek to Ushguli has it forced us to cancel to last two steps, my partner being unable to keep going after climbing to Adishi (and it is not particularly challenging).
2. It's said that the guesthouse offers a shared kitchen where hikers can cook.
But we had to ask permission to make our own dinner and the women of the house made us feel quite unwelcome in the kitchen as we were refusing to spend 50 Laris for dinner and would rather cook the pasta we'd brought.
Feeling that it was becoming an issue, we agreed on spending 50Laris for breakfasts. Food was good but not enough for two people about to walk for long hours.
3. As we hadn't slept much and were exhausted of the terrible night, we went back to bed from 9am to 10am to try to get some energy. Then someone knocked on our door and asked us to pay...
4. Food Prices:
Beer costs 10GEL
Breakfast:25GEL
Dinner:25GEL

Very nice garden, very kind owners. It couldn't have been better !

Very overpriced especially for breakfast they serve.
You could buy best dishes in mestia for 25 gel and they give you a simple breakfast for 30!
edit: after I wrote this review I got a message from the owner calling us pigs!
Most Georgian hosts we met in our trip were very nice and hospitable people, I guess we were unlucky to chose the wrong guesthouse.

Very good breakfast and dinner, delicious local food. Very hospitable hosts. Thanks to Goga and his wife for the warm welcome.
It was a bit cold at times, but it was also very cold outside.

This guesthouse has a very good location for ski touring to Tetnuldi Resort and that was the main reason why we chose it.
We had a good experience with the accomodation: room was clean, food was really tasty and hosting family was very friendly.
The atmosphere was exactly as we wanted: no tourists, just real svanetian countryside 😀.
All expectations were met 😀

Super friendly hostfamily! The best dinner and breakfast I had on my hike from Mestia to Ushguli!

Very welcoming hosts, great location, very warm (not so easy to find that warm apartment in mountains), very clean, homemade food was tasty, nice balcony (see picture attached) and yard view. Highly recommended!
The WI-FI was working only at the dining hall, however weak signal is a common issue in mountains. Taking into consideration the price it is not an issue at all. :)

Perfect location if you plan to do the Mestia-Ushguli hike! The room was very comfortable and Maia and her family were so kind with us! The property has a nice garden with fantastic views where you can relax for the next trekking day!

The location on the treck was good. The food was tasty.
We booked a room with a private bathroom but got one with shared as a group of people appeared before us. The wifi was not working
4.5 / 5.0
Good place to rest after the first day hiking Mestia-Ushguli. The room is quite small but very good and clean. Moreover, the room has its own bathroom (its rare at guesthouses in Svaneti). There is a big backyard where you can rest.
