Incredible views from the hotel, great public and private onsens and very tranquil atmosphere, which was perfect for relaxation after several active days in Kyoto. We had dinners included with our booking (we had tappenyaki, shabu shabu and kaiseki) and all were delicious and fun. Breakfasts are varied l, so everyone can find what they like. Sparkling wine available at the lobby from 2pm to 9pm is a nice addition too.
It was raining during our stay, but it actually made our atay better - the sound of rain on the terrace overlooking Hakone hills was the best. We planned to have active couple days in Hakone, but didn’t want to leave the hotel that’s how great it was.
Our dinners were booked for us for 17:00-17:30 each day (by default), which worked for us, but ensure to ask in advance if you need later time.
No smart TV.

The place is beautiful, the staff are nice and supportive, the breakfast is amazing, the dinner is nice.
The osen on site is beautiful and I enjoy the mountain view, too bad it was a cloudy morning and we did not see the sun rise.
I enjoy the free ice cream
I would come back

onsen, lounge, room, private balcony bath, egg chair, massage chair in room. so many amazing amenities.
the entrance was a bit hard to find. best to go through the family mart and take the elevator to the connecting passage. better signage could help this.

The location is stunning. Amazing views and facilities. The staff were superb!!! We felt incredible well taken care of from the very first moment.
Owing to the standards of the place, we expected natural juice in the bar/lounge instead of bottled one.

This place was amazing. From the dinner and breakfast, to the prive bath and public bath, to the scenery, this might have been one of the best places I've ever stayed!
Only spending one night, would have loved to stay for two!

The onsen was awesome, long opening hours and it allows you to visit the onsen unlimited times of your stay. The free entrance to the yunessun outdoor and indoor swimwear allowed onsen is a bonus. Breakfast spread was amazing and grand. Even with special dietary requirement there's a whole variety to choose from.Surrounding garden and views are beautiful. In room tub was also nice. Free flow of snacks, drinks and ice cream is available near the reception. Staffs were friendly not only on site but also when attending to enquiries and requests through online before my stay.
Family mart nearby is not 24 hours. There are no nearby eateries, you would need to buy out early or reserve for dinner. Food could be labelled with pictorial indication of main ingredients to help those with special dietary requirements.

Great food and gluten free requirements well catered for with delicious food. Great location and outlook. Shuttle bus to Gora was helpful. So close to the main attractions of Hakone so could start day ahead of day trippers.
Everything was great

One of the best locations I've ever stayed at. Best staff I've ever seen. Very helpful, polite and professional. The location is just extraordinary too. especially the private onsen overlooking green hills. Can't ask for a better location and a better hotel.
Cleanliness is also impeccable. Floors, toilets, bathrooms are all very clean.
Great experience overall that'll cherish for ever.
really nothing.

The staff were fantastic, the room spacious. Hotel garden is absolutely stunning both at night and during the day. Very wide choice for breakfast. Terribly regret staying only 1 night!
You have to know it's kinda up the hill, so would be hard to take a lot of luggage

The property is very large and offers lots to explore in and around the hotel. They offer shuttle services to Gora and accommodates a bus stop within its infrastructure. There are plenty of on the house treats all across the hotel and it’s beautifully decorated. It has beautiful outdoor onsen and both offer a breathtaking view. It’s a luxurious hotel that offers a strong competition to its local hakone competitors.
It’s a bit remote and had to reach if you are arriving at unusual times or if you caught a late train.

Abundante comida

Old style hotel.
Crowded at breakfast and very simple one btw.
They didn’t reserved us a table for dinner, despite we asked for it.

This place is so beautiful during the Autumn time.
The amenities are great, there's free ice cream from the vending machines! They also had a free concert going on when we were there.
The onsen is fantastic, they provide toiletries as well as yukatas.
There's a garden at the property you can walk around in.
The dinner kaiseki was great, they gave us a dinner buffet afterwards as well if we wanted more food. The breakfast buffet was also fantastic!
There was A LOT of people, probably because we went during peak Koyo season, but getting to the destination via bus was a nightmare! The only way to get to Odawara for the shinkansen is by bus, which is 40-50 minutes. You can opt for a taxi, but when we tried, they were all booked already :(

This was a real treat. Not cheap but the experience was more than worth it. On arriving, you are greeted at the door by wonderful ladies that take your bags and help you check in. Tea ,cold drinks, ice-cream are all available in the reception area where there is also an external balcony area with seating and foot spa looking across to the mountains. The rooms have private onsens on the balcony and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. We had a kaiseki meal plan which was theatre in itself. Breakfast was even more incredible with a mind boggling array of choice including lobster legs and champagne! Our stay was our last day in Japan after a 5 week tour and when the taxi took us to the train station..I actually shed a tear of sadness. It was such an incredible place to stay .THANKYOU !.we will remember it always!
nothing.

The onsen was great, they switch the men's & women's daily so you experience both. They provide yakuta robes, slippers, etc. which could be wore around the whole hotel so we needed very little in way of clothes. The breakfast was exceptional, there was a massive range of items from bacon and eggs to curry to ice cream and everything in between. Prosecco and wine available at breakfast and all day in the lobby. Really recommend booking the dinner when booking your room, it was different each night we stayed and was a real show of tasty Japanese food.

The location is in the nature. The hotel is serarouded by trees , the two Onsen are amazing , very good and varied breakfast. The stuff is helpfull and give the feelung of caring of the guest. We had diner on two nights. They put the first night's menu on the second night and immediatly upon discovering the mistake they desided to give us free drinks with the meal. Room for two people is very large . You get a luxurious robe, pyjama and top.
The room for 4 people is the same size us for two so it was too crowded .
The dinner is very experiental but too expensive.
