Great little cabin out in mountains, lovely hikes available. Close to Flåm railway and to a beautiful old Stave Church. There is EV charging on site at a very reasonable price. We loved being visited by the resident cat. Kids loved the fact they had egg cups so we could have dippy eggs for breakfast.
The fireplace flue needed cleaning and the smoke filled the cabin meaning we had to open all the windows. Also If you're headed into Flåm book in advance or get there very early. When the cruise ships come in the activities get fully booked very quickly. There isn't a toaster or grill.

Nice and helpful staff, wonderful history of the hostel, close to attractions, great location with trekking tracks and waterfall, full kitchen.

Excellent overnight stay in the one bedroom apartment. Very spacious, clean, thoughtfully decorated and modern. The kitchen was well stocked and we could cook easily. Location is close to the Borgund church and Vindhellavegan. Very easy to find. The owner is so accommodating, welcoming and warm.
Nothing!

The English first century style. Great to look at, like for a museum.
Not practical to actually use for living. If you are large persons with disabilities. We had to climb the front stairs to the door {9 steps}. Then up a narrow twisted staircase with luggage and one sided handrail, {again about 9 steps}. Once in the apartment, felt as if you would fall through the floor in places. The bed was not easy to make (seem to be nailed to the wall) no move around the bed. The tub, though cute and stylish, is fit for a child or 90lb adult only.

Lovely location, cozy hut with lots of room and everything you need. There was also a charging station for our rental EV, which was very helpful! Helpful host who shared tips on what to do and see closeby.
Personally, I’m not a fan of booking a hotel where I see a price and then on the spot realize that things are charged separately (linen for the bed and bathroom towels costed extra).
Also: some oil, salt and herbs in the kitchen couldnt hurt for travellers who are only here for a short time and cannot buy full supplies without having to create unnecessary food waste.

amazing place, amazing hytta. very friendly staff. due to snow conditions was difficult to park close to the hytta, but they helped us with the luggages

The cabin was placed on the hill, partly hidden behind the trees, very nice. The area was quiet, with some walking trails, which we did not try as we were only staying to sleep. Cabin inside was very clean, and roomy enough. Beds were fine.
Btw we arrived rather late, and were hoping to be able to eat in the area. Unfortunately everything closed early, but our friendly host had some meals to buy and heat in our cabin.
Would have preferred a double bed for me and my wife, but we knew in advance there would be bunk beds, so no problem, really.

We had a brilliant two nights stay, had a fire outside in fire pit / barbecue provided, and another fireplace inside was definitely a great bonus an a fairly cold night. The host Lady was brilliant, very helpful and accommodating. Little touches such as heated floor in the bathroom, availability of coffee maker, the use of fireplace make a great experience. We had been to Norway on quite a few occasions previously, and when (not if!) we return again and visit this area, will definitely be booking in Maristuen!

Nice cosy house in great location.
The fridge was always overfreezing.

I always thought that traveling in a group is very rewarding :) We are two families (8 persons) and stayed at the separate 130 m² house. Apartments are very comfortable, with all necessary infrastructure and equipment, nice terrace with a view to mountains. Our company regretted we had to stay only for 2 nights, the place was worth more :) As there were no neighbors nearby we felt very very comfortable to chill and relax.
I coudn't expect anything more for the price :)

The host, Knut Maristuen, is very friendly and service orietented. The warm water was not operational one morning and he did his best to get it working again immediately. The house is most romantic and beautiful !
The double bed was a bit small and had two seperated matrasses. It is a cosy bed but can be a bit small if you are a large person.
