Lovely quiet cottage on the edge of the water. The entrance was fine to navigate by listening for traffic and by only attempting to enter the gate from the Westport direction. The WiFi was excellent, the sofa was comfortable, the kitchen had a decent level of utensils etc and there was washing machine etc if needed. The village is a few minutes drive away and it has most things that you would need.
The property would be "cosy" for 4 people but if you were out most of the day this probably won't be a problem. If you bring a dog (as we did) be aware that there isn't really anywhere to safely walk near the cottage without using a car to get there (a very minor inconvenience).

Had a really lovely few days in Connemara
I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone
When we arrived the place was lovely and cosy
The owner had the heating on for us and even left a basket of log's for the stove..
The cottage was spotless
It was like home away from home
Leenaun is only a five minute drive away and Westport and clifden 30 minutes drive
So all and all a great experience
Will definitely be back again
Hopefully stay longer next Time

Beautiful location.
Serious damp problem. If you have allergies to molds and spores stay clear . My asthma was bad every time I was indoors also another person struggled.Water pressure in shower was pathetic.

superb location - absolutely loved it
entrance into cottage from road was a little dangerous, but if you follow instructions from e mail to drive past cottage and do I turn, it’s much safer

Fabulous views all round the property.
However entering and existing property is difficult as it is on a very dangerous bend.

Comfortable beds. Heating In main part of cottege very good. Very good internet. Excellent location.
Property is very small and only suitable for 2 adults. Extension at back of main building containing tiny kitchen and washroom, damp and cold. No mats provided for shower room. Very low water pressure, mains cold water tap in kitchen sink barely trickled water. Downpipe in toilet wash hand basin leaked water over floor when plug released. This was fixed by owner on second day of our stay.

We spent a very lovely week in the Cottage diretly at the shore of the Killary Fjord. The Location is fantastic between the Fjord and the Street, close to Leenane. the Cottage is very comfortable an we felt very happy to stay there

Self catering. Excellent location.
The only pub within walking distance was closed.
4.5
Perfect place for an escape, whether for a few days or longer. The location was excellent as a base for touring the area and had beautiful scenery on the doorstep without having to go too far. The cottage was so comfortable and cosy and would suit both summer and winter seasons. After spending a day on a windy beach or hillside it was such a treat to come back and light the fire. While the kitchen area is small, as would be expected for a traditional cottage of this size and period, it was perfectly functional for our needs and did not disappoint. We are already looking forward to returning for another stay!

Cosy small cottage in the most beautiful location. Great base for touring Connemara.
Surrounding area with breathtaking views. Babbling river to the side of the cottage - nice to sit out in the garden and just listen to the sound of the water as it makes its way to sea. Peaceful location with friendly locals.
Cottage extremely cosy with the stove on.
Beds very comfortable.
Entrance and exit to cottage a bit dodgy... near a bend in the road. Need to be careful pulling car out. Maybe a road mirror on the opposite side of exit may be beneficial.
Kitchen quite small (but adequate with all essentials provided) which is not an issue if you’re planning on eating out a lot.
