unsanitary place. weird smells in the corridor.

the room I was in was infested with flies. I’ve got videos. when I brought it up to the reception man he said it’s cos I left the window open. however do you think 150 flies just fly through a window when a window gets left open? the covers had flies. the walls. they were flying around. biting. it was disgusting.

The fact that they have self catering services

The heater wasn't heating up and I was very cold when I walked in

La struttura è molto più simile a un hotel che a un ostello, le stanze sono private (dotate di chiave), solo i servizi in comune. Colazione disponibile per i clienti e cucina fornita. Possibilità di lasciare in custodia i bagagli dopo il check out. Super!

Lovely stay at a friendly, comfortable and central hostel. Great value for money. Thank you!

Very friendly staff and other residents, spacious room, quiet at night, well-stocked kitchen, central location and clean bathroom facilities.

Some of the bed sheets were stained in places.

I highly recommend it for a great stay in Leeds

The receptionist was very welcoming, the facilities were clean and modern, and the atmosphere was friendly. The hostel’s location was convenient with plenty of nearby amenities.

Free breakfast, nice helpful staff, good location near Leeds train station. Would recommend.

Good! For the time I was there. If I`m going to Leeds again I would re book!!

I have stayed in similar Hostels and is very friendly, easy access to all rooms, toilets and the shower area. Kitchens were clean and everything was labelled. The guy at the reception was very informative about the place and he also give directions to things in Leeds. I had a good Stay.

One of the toilets was not working right!

Great place to stay

Great value for the price ,the room was lovely and clean,the receptionist was very kind and helpful

The shared shower/bathroom upstairs,I got a disabled leg ,and i struggled to go upstairs

cheep but perhaps not cheerful

close to city centre

introductory chat was like being scolded by a drill sergeant (there was even a pop quiz on the rules) staff member lives/slept right outside our room in an open space which was rather awkward, especially going past in the dead of night.

I’ve stayed here a fair few times no major issue however my last stay was the worse.

What did u like- location is easy accessible. Place is overhaul tidy. Easy to check in.

What didn’t you like- the fact I paid just short of £50 for a room both bottom bunks was broken leading me to have to put the mattress on the floor to be able to sleep. Also that alcohol was allowed with others.

Worrying lack of concern for security

Decent, all-day breakfast

The dorm room wasn’t very secure - there is a code to access it, but then you need to press another button to re-lock it, which only 1 of my 5 roommates remembered to do - not a reliable system. Lockers in the room had been broken into and not repaired, and no alternative for secure storage was offered. Half of the showers were out of use. The location is fairly central to the city, but the area isn’t well lit after dark, honestly thought I’d got lost in a dodgy side alley when I first arrived. The staff were friendly but I felt more like an old friend couchsurfing, rather than a paying guest - it’s important to balance the friendliness with also handling situations in a professional way.

Memorable

We never felt that we are at other place. We felt it like our home. We will definitly choose russel scot backpackers. Highly recommended.

A beautiful place to stay with family

It was exceptionally large family room, stunning, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. Overall really happy with the service and room that was great value for money.

There is nothing we could dislike or can see anything wrong with the room. Well done.

A great way to get to know Leeds - and other people.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, seemed to genuinely care, and the other guests were really good too. Was also close to town centre

An experience

Good location, friendly staff, the cleaner Aimee she is very friendly and having a good conversation with people staying. Great to see the formal office block change to affordable hostel.

The room sound proofing is not so good, but you got what you paid for. The room is bigger than I expected.

Lovely and cozy stay

I loved the atmosphere of the place. The host is wonderful, and the whole stay was very cozy and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. We could also have breakfast there included, which was great. Absolutely recommend the place..

It’s a cheap hostel.

Nice enough rooms, fair price, good facilities.

Owner/main member of staff is a little challenging. Very quick to assume the worst. Must have had some terrible guests in the past.
