The staff was very kind. The kitchen, bathrooms, and toilets are all clean. The room was quite. I have a good memory of traveling.
Nothing inconvenient.

The owners were extremely accommodating to our family and fixed up a minor issue promptly and exceeding our expectations. My daughter said the owner was the nicest man she had ever met. Beautiful location beside the river.
We liked everything

The lady who greeted us was very helpful.
The room had an odd smell. The TV remotes didn't work and there wasn't great lighting for the evening. It was quite dark. Some more lamps/lights would be ideal. The main reason for our low score is that Booking.com didnt advise us we had to supply our own bedding. So we had to upgrade to a unit at a higher price or pay for bedding seperately.

kitchen was good and individual cupboards that stored plates was good idea.
lots of available utensils available for use.
the 6 person dorms were a bit run down. bedding was a bit eery for use. some mattresses were a bit old.

The space of the holiday park was beautiful
That there was a dead mouse in the kitchen in plain view that the cleaners didn't get and that when the mouse was picked up they didn't clean the area where it was lying. Also didn't even offer any compensation for this.. very run down place needs lots of work done to it. Lots of random holes in floor and walls which made my family a bit on edge knowing mice could get in through these

I just liked the location on the river the staff were really nice and catered to your needs with a big smile. I also love how kid friendly it is and how much freedom my 2 year old had there with the park, pool and space to run around.
the single beds were hard to sleep on but wasn't bad enough to ruin our time there.

We received a really lovely and informative welcome from the lady at reception.
Our cabin was large (slept 6) and had a fridge in it😃 Our double bed was very comfortable.
We were given a key to a kitchen cupboard which had our own set of crockery and cutlery in it. The kitchen was spotless and had some free herbs and spices, awesome. There was plenty of room both inside and out to enjoy your meal.
The bathroom facilities were dated but, for the ladies at least, very plentiful. I've not seen a campsite with so many toilets before. My husband wasn't as impressed with the gents.
The ducks welcomed us each morning and the river was nice to watch.
WiFi dropped out for us in our room but improved significantly in the communal lounge area.

All staff and guests survived Cyclone Gabrielle.
It did rain a bit - the cyclone's fault. But it was warm rain.

Had things for my children. They loved everything swimming

The setting was lovely, and beds comfortable. It was a nice surprise to find the cupboard of supplies for cabin guests.
The female bathrooms weren't very clean the afternoon we arrived only two of the five toilets had toilet paper, the kitchen and lounge facilities weren't monitored and cleaned often with meat sitting out on the bench for three days which then got moved to on top of freezer. Noisy guests were left to make alot of noise on the lounge room until after midnight after a guest asked to to stop they then moved to make further noise in the cabin until 5 am.

Facilities not regularly cleaned

Good location, good facilities
Booking.com not making payment to the holiday park and us and the holiday park having to recity the issue

like bugs, spiders, cockroaches and little insects everywhere in the room (beneath our beds, on the roof, backside of refrigerators etc)

Nothing
The Manager is the worst we’ve ever come across. We booked a cabin and on arrival found the window was broken and had cardboard over it. When we spoke to the manager about it she didn’t believe us. One of the other staff confirmed the window had been broken for a week. We stayed one night and left. When we went to get a refund, the manager twice took personal calls on her phone and just walked off. Luckily there were a couple of friendly staff to assist.
