Everything! The whole place (from the garden, to the breakfast area and rooms) was immaculate! The accommodation is so beautifully and thoughtfully designed, that just looking at everything was a complete joy! I loved my room so so much, i relaxed just by looking at it! Sitting outside and listening to the nature sounds was so soothing! Ferran is a perfect host and puts a lot of work and dedication into this place, which you can tell! Loved the healthy breakfast yoghurt bowl! Kanferri Villa is a hidden gem! Absolutely recommend and would stay there again - but longer :) !

Was für eine schöne Oase. Der perfekte Abschluss für unsere Reise. Sehr gemütlich gestaltet, die komplette Anlage ist super sauber und schick. Man fühlt sich hier sehr wohl und kann auch gerne mal etwas Zeit im Pool und Hängematte verbringen.
Die Lage ist etwas abseits, daher ist ein Roller empfehlenswert. Der Gastgeber kümmert sich um die Organisation.

Very clean. Extremely friendly. Peaceful. Great to see loads of nature around. Very responsive for any questions we had. Breakfast was great. Nice and easy to find with off road parking. Surrounded by locals no big hotels. You’ll struggle to leave this place as it really is a home away from home with the friendliness of both Ferran and Madura. Thank you very much for having us!

Là villa est tout simplement magnifique (encore plus belle que sur les photos!), et très bien située a deux pas de la plage et du centre ville
Un petit cocon paradisiaque tres calme.
Les petits déjeuners (réalisés parfaitement par Madura ) se déroulent dans un esprit de partage et de convivialité. De belles rencontres sont a la clé!

The room was modern, well decorated, very well maintained. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious. The AC worked well as did the hot water. The pool was lovely and so refreshing. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
The continental breakfast was sparse. Better to choose the yogurt option.

Einer der schönsten Unterkünfte unserer Reise und in Echt noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Es ist eine kleine Ruheoase fernab von Verkehr und Trubel. Ferran ist ein unglaublich netter und aufmerksamer Gastgeber und sein Mitarbeiter Madura zaubert leckeres Frühstück und hilft bei allen Fragen. Die beiden haben uns geholfen einen Roller zu mieten (wurde direkt zur Unterkunft gebracht, super easy!) und ein günstiges Tuktuk für die Fahrt zum Bahnhof organisiert. Wir würden übrigens jedem empfehlen einen Roller zu mieten, um Umgebung zu erkunden und einfach zu den Restaurants etc. zu kommen.
Das Zimmer war extrem sauber und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Auch der Pool ist super und eine erfrischende Abwechslung zum Meer ;)
Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Danke für alles, liebes Kanferri-Team :)

Excelente anfitrión, Ferrán muy pendiente de que estuviéramos como en casa y así fué.
Se adaptó 100% a nuestras necesidades, llegamos de madrugada y tenia todo preparado a la hora que llegamos, aunque no fuera la hora oficial de entrada.
Perfecto GUÍA de la zona, de las playas de surf, ocio y restaurantes para ir, fuimos a todos y no falló ninguno.
Las Villas son súper chulas a 5’ de la calle principal en un sitio mágico, con Piscina y un comedor muy Asiático donde nos prepararon el desayuno.
Madura, el chico que trabaja allí con Ferran, encantador y siempre dispuesto a ayudar y también 100% pendiente.
100% recomendable, sin duda parada obligatoria a la vuelta antes de irnos de la isla.

Ferran and Madura were so nice and organized everything for us! we also loved that it was really quiet and we were able to take some time off. We would for sure come back and stay with them again.

Exceptionally beautiful villa designed and maintained with so much level of detail and care. The owner Ferran and location manager Madura are both very kind and extremely helpful. Ferran even stayed up in the middle of the night to personally welcome me to the villa. Never experienced such an amazing level of hospitality! Thank you for having me.

+it felt like home.
+in the common area you can meet other people and exchange your experiences/tips. first we were not sure if a common area for all guests together, sitting to other people while you breakfast is so good, but now we can say, that it was very good because we met so many nice people from different countries: Poland, Latvia, Spain and got many tips. with one couple we also went surfing and for a drink.
+you can easily rent a scooter at Maduras friends. he helps you a lot. scooter riding was not that hard as we first expected it. when you can do it in Thailand oder Bali, you can do it here as well. Just be a defensive driver and pay attention to the buses. Went to Mirissa, Weligama and Unawatuna with little stops at beaches or local fruit stands. Wonderful experience!

+Kabalana beach is very good for surfing beginners. we had our first tries ever there and it was good. There are also many places if you are more advanced. Ferran will tell you.
+the villas, the common area and the garden are very beautiful with a lot of attention to the details. very calm area, no traffic sound. just 800m walk to the main street.
+everything was very clean and smelled very good.
+breakfast is just made for you and amount of breakfast is very good.

Amazing stay at the villa with very kind and helpful people. I recommend booking a room here for a peaceful stay, away from the busy life. The aesthetics and atmosphere are bohemian and beautiful. They also serve healthy breakfast.

Located away from the busy Main Street, arriving back each day was so peaceful. It’s only a short tuktuk to town and hosts help you arrange. Can walk to beach if wanted. Owner and host are both lovely and are always available at all times to contact and prepare breakfast in morning. It is extremely well maintained property and it’s a very safe and relaxing environment.

What an amazing place. Stayed here for more than a week. We absolutely loved this. I would recommend to anyone this place who wants to relax and take a rest from all the rush and traffic noise. I usually don't write any reviews unless the whole experience was one of the best we have experienced so far and Ferran and Madura did awesome job to make us feel welcome and took care of different challenges we experienced in our trip!

We picked Kanferri Villa as we loved the aesthetics of the villa and it had great reviews — it did not disappoint! The communal space and pool is very clean and welcoming and our room was super cosy! The owner Ferran was around to welcome us and give us some helpful suggestions of places to visit/eat etc. Madura the house keeper helped us hire a scooter and he also makes a super yummy breakfast (we really enjoyed the fruit, oat and yoghurt bowls!)
The place is super close to the beach and lots of surf spots, but should you want to just relax the villa feels very homey (we enjoyed spending time chilling in the pool and in the hammocks). It's very quiet, but the occasional gang of monkeys which pass through the garden are very entertaining :)

the rooms are really cosy, good size and everything you need. Ferran the owner is really nice and can help you with everything, if you want to rent a scooter or need a tuktuk or restaurant recommofations. Madura the house keeper is making great breakfast and is always nice and smiling, he put our surfboards in the shade the whole day. We also made a nice boat safari with him on the nearby koggala lake. I would give more than 10 stars if it’s possible. thank you for the nice stay.

Such a beautiful place to stay and relax. We had a great time at Kanferri Villa. Our little cottage was decorated with love and there was everything you need. Ferran and Madura are great hosts who helped us with all our questions and were always available.

If you have the chance to stay here please do so, you won’t regret it:). The owner Ferran build this place himself and you can see it in every little detail that it is build with so much love. The pool, the rooms, bathroom, everything is so beautifull and very very clean.
It is a very quiet place, away from the busy street so we slept like babies here. Around the garden there are monkeys to welcome you from time to time.
The place is very private because there are only 4 rooms so you will always have a spot for yourself in the garden. But if you do want to meet other people it is also possible and very nice around the breakfast/wifi place.
Ferran and Madura will do everything to make you feel at home the minute you walk in. We booked very last minute and the night before arrival Ferran arranged us an airport pickup big enough for my longboard:). They will help you with everything you need, tuktuk, trip at the lake, water etc.
Compared to many other places the price is also very friendly, we found many places that were almost double the price and not close to Kanferri.
At the end of the street, a 10 minute lovely walk through a local street with friendly neighbours, you have a great longboard spot (south point). In the area are many other great surf spots from beginner till advanced and many nice restaurants and places to go with tuktuk or scooter.
We still keep in touch with Ferran and waiting for any cancellation so we can come back during our trip in Sri Lanka❤️

What a special place! Both Ferri and Madura are the most welcoming, kind and driven hosts that created an experience that felt like home. I really appreciated the flexibility in preparing a vegan breakfast for me as well as the constant support in regards of organizing a scooter, sim card or printing PCR tests etc.
The place is beautifully designed, creating a whole experience. I loved the gesture of incent sticks on my arrival as well as a great list of restaurants/spas/beaches to go in the surrounding area.
I was working during the stay, the wifi was good enough for my video calls, even though it is located in the lush jungle. The dips in the pool during my breaks were purely rejuvenating.

Where do I begin! This place is just beautiful from head to toe - so well thought out with every design and feature, it really is stunning. The fact that the place only has 4 rooms is a huge bonus also - especially if you’re looking for somewhere quiet but friendly to relax or work remotely from the common/wifi area. Beautiful hammocks and various sun loungers are dotted around the grounds, and a pool too (for just 4 rooms! you’ll mostly have it to yourself). I didn’t take a photo of the bathroom but it’s a shower, toilet, sink, all well designed and both modern & comfortable.
The owner (Ferran) was actually staying here while I was there too, which I thought was so nice! Always on hand for any questions or queries and so super hospitable, laidback and friendly. Would give us surfing tips and is so hands on with the property - not many owners there are like this!
A local man (Madura) works here too and is here from the crack of dawn until the evening, serving you breakfast (they will make you vegan or other dietary options if you let them know) and delicious fresh juices made from local fruits (pineapple/watermelon/mango). Madura will also give you tips on the local wildlife, where to visit and who is safe to use as a driver. Madura actually came back to the villa at 9pm when I was leaving for the airport and spoke with the driver, took his registration to ensure I was safe! So sweet.
And Ferran also drove me to a print shop to sort my PCR for my return flight, because he could see I was stressing about it.
Any problems I had or may have had were easily resolved and done so with kindness and understanding.
I felt so safe and relaxed as a solo female traveller, and have had many different types of experiences with solo travel to compare this to - so this place really is a haven.
Based in a quiet neighbourhood area near Koggala Lake/Kabalana - the beach is just a few minutes by either TukTuk or scooter.
The only thing I can think of noticing was that the wifi isn’t available in all of the rooms - only the one closest to the common area. But Ferran did mention he’s looking into the possibility of getting another wifi router, so that there is one for the rooms also.
However, whenever I needed to video call clients or send emails, I was free to use the common area at any time. And the place is so quiet that this wasn’t a problem.

A beautiful place, great vibes, nice breakfast with fresh bread, and a very attentive owner :) Everything I could wish for.
