Close to main st. Very charming. Wish it had a stove but it wasn’t an issue. Nice outdoor area

We were comfortable at the house. Too many stairs for one of my friends, but she managed. Clean and comfortable. Loved the location. We could walk to main st and eat and shop!

My son was playing college hockey at the Centene Ice Center, so my husband, my son’s girlfriend, and I all flew in to watch. The house was the perfect setup for us: 3 levels (so we hall had our own space), common areas that allowed us to watch movies when we were together, but with a door to the area that allowed us to work quietly if we needed, as well.
It’s right near historic downtown and not far from the rink and casinos.
Our hosts were fantastic: their communication and willingness to work with us. We didn’t know how long we’d be there because if the team won, they’d move on to play additional games.

This cottage beats a hotel any day of the week. There’s plenty of room, charming decor, and attention to details. Not to mention the proximity to everything old St. Charles has to offer. We’ve stayed here or at other cottages owned by the same company several times when visiting relatives in St. Louis and we’ll continue to do so.

This property was very convenient to the shops and restaurants in the historic area of St. Charles. The home was clean and was just the space we wanted for a relaxing time away!

We were pleased to find this old, historical b&b very comfortable, clean, and pleasantly livable. The location couldn't have been better as we were able to walk to breakfast cafes, to shops, to the Missouri, to historical buildings, and to nice restaurants. Surrounded by ancient brick streets and buildings, we felt immersed in history. We would definitely go back!

Cons: lots of stairs for older people

My sister and I brought our mom for a girls trip. We really enjoyed the location and the house. The snacks, puzzles, games and dvd’s were such a nice extra touch. We will be back!

I loved the hot tub. I loved the location. Some of the tv remotes did not have batteries in them. Cable TV only worked on one tv.

Old Town Guest zHouse was perfect for a weekend teip. We enjoyed the location as we could walk to the restaurants/shops. Also, the home was very relaxing with the hot tub, too. Will definitely return as owners were so quick to reply and process was efficient.

We had a great time staying in the little house. We were in town for a wedding and it was much better than staying in a hotel. We had our two adult children, two teenage boys, and my mother with us and we all felt we had plenty of room. My mom liked the little sunroom. The 6' tall boys would not have fit, but it was a nice size for her. The location is perfect. It is just steps away from cute shops and restaurants. We did notice the lack of an stove and oven (they are not listed in the amenities -I just didn't read it that close) so no late night cookies. Overall it was a great place for some quality family time.

Rental was smaller than I had imagined but functioned just fine for our 4 primary occupants for the long weekend. We had another couple who only planned to stay for one night who slept in the room with the day bed, which has a trundle underneath. I feel like if they were staying longer the arrangements would have seemed cramped.
The house overall is super clean and all the linens and towels were fresh. There was a friendly little hummingbird that kept stopping by and a nest of baby rabbits in the yard that we noticed when we were hanging out on the patio. But for sure the best part of the house is the proximity to the shops and restaurants on Main St. This house is situated near the middle of the historic district, so everything is a short stroll away. Would rent again.

Clean , comfortable, well maintained and oh so charming. Fantastic location, not just for all the St Charles shopping & dining, but easy access to St Louis area. Very comfortable beds and the hot tub was a treat. Be prepared for lots of stairs between the three levels.

Great location and amenities at this property. The washer does have a mildew problem that the owner should address, but other than that, the property is clean and comfortable. Lovely space and appears to be well-maintained. The hot tub is very nice!

We loved your house! Was perfect for our group and needs during the Working Womens Survival Show which we will be attending every year! Only complaint...and really more of an fyi...your frontload washer has mildewed which made the towels smelly. Once we realized we washed them all prior to usage. We found some sanitizer in the laundry room and added that which helped a bit.

I loved this little guest house! The location is amazing for walking around the main street of St. Charles. The house was clean and comfortable. The hot tub is a great addition and love how it is tucked in around back. I would love to come back in warmer weather and enjoy the back patio. The owners were great and quick to respond. I highly recommend this house if you are coming to St. Charles!

This is our third time staying in a property from The Guest House Co., and once again we were not disappointed!! The house was spacious and had all of the amenities! It is within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants on Main Street. We can’t wait to plan our next visit to Saint Charles and stay at another one of your guest houses!!

Comfortable, centrally located to tons of cute shops and restaurants, short drive to anything you’d need. The place itself was beautiful, tons of character, definitely will stay again!!

First visit to St. Charles. Property is located walking distance to historic downtown. We were traveling for the Youth Baseball, Fall World Series in St. Louis area so didn't get to embrace everything. Beds were comfortable. King mattress a bit noisy but we loved our room. The teenagers took top floor - they loved having their own space. Room on main floor a bit small for two people and the room got cool. Thankfully there were extra blankets. Wished kitchen had stove/oven (but knew going in we wouldn't have one). Hot tub was bonus. Appreciated the extra snacks. Hosts were very friendly and responsive. Look forward to visiting again!

So quaint and everything was as described and amenities were well stocked. Within easy walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Some restaurants have stairs, so if you have mobility issues you might check before making reservations. We found it a bit challenging to go up/down stairs at the cottage as we are in our 60’s, but we managed. Perhaps ability to go in/out front door would be helpful for older guests? We couldn’t get the living room to work so played rummy instead. Haven’t played that game in at least 30 years!
Only other suggestion is possibly a small refrigerator or coffee bar downstairs so you don’t have to go upstairs for beverages. But overall a great stay and we’re already thinking of a return stay. 😄

Beautifully renovated home that still gives you the sense you stepped into the past. The home, itself, is very clean and roomy with lots of local historical information. The location in relation to attractions and restaurants is perfect as most are within walking distance. Great choice and would definitely do it again.

A great 'home away from home'.
This was our first time vacationing with our adult children (and a couple of their significant others). We spent a week hitting many of the attractions in and around St Louis, and it was great to have a homey place to return every night.

Cute place in the perfect location for a weekend in downtown St Charles. Lots of space for a group of people. Found a little bit of garbage under a bed, but besides that it was very clean. We really enjoyed the cottage and would stay again!
