Leuk hotel met vriendelijk personeel.
Jammer dat je het hotel niet kunt bereiken met de auto ...

Location!
Air conditioning

The breakfast menu and the quality of the food was very good. The rooms were comfortable, both beds and chairs. The communal areas were kept clean and relaxing. The staff were helpful and attentive.
The technology for casting to the TV from an iPhone, didn’t seem to work.

Location and friendliness of staff

Central to everything

Was right in the centre, close to everything.
Very unique and stylish.
Rooms were spacious and very clean, comfy beds.
Love a quirky hotel.
Nothing!

Staff were amazing. So lovely and welcoming
Had a slight issue but staff rectified straight away
4.2
The hotel is well located and comfortable. The staff, particularly when we checked in, were so friendly and helpful. The free drink on arrival was a nice touch! It was great that there is an outdoor seating space and lots of games available to play plus a pool table and table football- great place to stay with teens.
4.2
Location and a good vibe. Free cocktail on arrival was a delight. The staff all worked hard to make our stay a pleasure
Nothing to dislike. I might be being tight and out of touch with prices but I felt the price per night added to the £50 plus to park nearby for three days made it fair value only to me. Not excellent value. Having said all that I would probably stay again
4.2
Was a different kind of stay to what we ate used to..in a good way...very relaxing
Prob just the parking situation...hotel was great
4.2
Funky vibe, great staff, clean and comfortable and good games to be had.
Air conditioning didn’t get cool enough in room.
4.2
Loved the ambience of Moxy, the quirky signs around the place and loved the entertainment they have on offer, my daughter and I had fun playing table football and pool, they also had board games scattered around. They even had a quiz night which we unfortunately were too late for as I love a good quiz night. Staff were helpful and polite too.
The breakfast choices weren't replenished quick enough, I went to get some fruit and yoghurt and there were only apples left, not much to make a fruit combo with but that wouldn't put me off.
4.2
Everything you expect from a Moxy, fun decor, games, great bar etc etc.
Room heating/cooling - won't allow you to cool the room in 'winter' (March) other than "open a window" as is written on the sticker above the air-con controls. This would be fine but the area is noisy (drunks at 3am, car alarms etc), the ambient temperature in the room was 21/22 - too hot to sleep. The hotel needs to change it's policy. We wouldn't book again.
4.2
Friendly staff, lovely reception/bar space and good facilities. The shower was good and powerful and the room was generally comfortable. The hotel is in a great location to explore the city.
The bed was very soft and even though it said we could stream YouTube to the TV, we couldn't get it to work. These were minor though.
4.2
The property was a 20 min walk from the train station but was a nice 5-10 min walk from everywhere we wanted to be in York. 5 min walk from the Shambles. Close to a lot of local bars and restaurants. The lobby consisted of a pool table, plenty of tables to sit and play board games at. A lovely bar with welcome drinks in the form of a gin based cocktail each for our first nights stay. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.
The walk from the station with a suitcase was a bit of a trek but the rest of the stay made up for this.
4.2
Location, comfy bed and quiet through the week. Played music in bar area so nice to sit in. Also board games available. Good mirrors and plenty sockets. Loved the light sensor on the bed which came on if you got up in the night!
Bathroom small. However good shower. TV too low on wall so tricky to watch in bed. Short hanging rails and not enough hangers for 3 night stay.
4.2
Really modern feel
The bar staff made no effort to pretend they enjoyed their jobs. Cooked breakfast was absolutely terrible. Silly things that could easily be put right to make it a brilliant hotel.
4.2
It was quirky, free drink on arrival, great staff and great location.
Wonky pool table and no beer on tap!
4.2
The room was very clean and the bed was soft and comfortable. It was very close to town, only a five minute walk. Staff were friendly and the handy motion sensor light made going to the bathroom in the night easy!
Pricy for the size of the room. The temperature dial was difficult to navigate and we ended up boiling hot and it reading at a high temperature despite us turning it off. Bathroom was small.

Firstly it smelt amazing! The staff were very friendly. We got a free chocolate and free drinks voucher on arrival. The hotel was very close to the centre for great restaurants and bars. They had games to play, pool tables, food was great too.
I couldn’t find anything I didn’t like

4.2
Great location
The room was cold even with the heating turned right up
4.2
The brickwork was impeccable
The cement was grey
4.2
Very handy for city centre and under 1 mile walk to railway station.
Nothing.
4.2
Black out curtains
No phone inside room
TV stopped working
Heating wouldn't turn off so barely slept
Iron in separate room
Sink has awful smell
Shower pressure extremely low
No fridge
Toilet roll wasn't refilled (wasn't enough for 2 nights)
Bedroom wasn't cleaned
Towels weren't replaced
Got knock on door middle of afternoon (waking us up from nap as didn't get any sleep in night!) To see if we 'fancied' room service
4.2
Great room, very clean.
Close to the city centre but quiet.
Great staff.
4.2
Location and size of room
No cupboard or storage for clothes, once you used shower left a smell in drains for rest of stay, food available and drinks low standard for a 4 star hotel.
4.2
Air quality. The rooms were incredibly stuffy….no air con just a sign on the wall saying open window if room is too hot. Which is all well and good but opening the window onto a busy street does not provide a good quality experience.
No where to store bags when arriving earlier, got told to store them in one of the few lockers, many of which where full or broken.
4.2
The hotel overall was very clean and the staff were welcoming
The breakfast was extremely poor. The heating didn’t switch off so we had to keep the window open at all times which then meant we had the sound from outside which was pretty noisy at all times so we struggled to sleep
4.2
Breakfast was very varied and fresh
The size of the rooms were ok but bathroom could have been bigger. Very small gripe.
4.2
Excellent location, lovely rooms and bathroom. Delicious breakfast
No wardrobe or drawers so couldn't unpack clothes
4.2
Great. Sausages were lovely
No separate toaster for gluten free
