I liked the location,the pool!
I didn’t find the hosts particularly enthusiastic or helpful. They spent most of their time on their electronics neglecting the needs of their guests. They played the same horrible music everyday for the entire month I spent there. Hot water was a problem.Had to ask for it. JUN was the better host. Way too much smoking.
I am a non smoker and felt very uncomfortable most of the time.

I was actually staying at another hostel in town when I met Jun and some of the guests out and about and they convinced me to move here instead. A very fun and friendly party atmosphere.
There construction was in its final days so I did not get to see the newly renovated areas. The location could be a bit of a walk from the city's bars and clubs etc (about a ~20 Min walk) but the staff organized frequent nights out and taxis are cheap and common. The out of the way location may even be considered a plus for some clothing optional enthusiasts in particular, it's quite secluded.

Nothing as I was so irritated as I arrived!!
The staffs attitude, my room smelt of acrid damp and I could hardly breathe, I requested another room and that to was in the same condition. Everything smelt like it had been locked up for years. I requested a capachino in my room and was brought a cup of boiling water. To make my own with a Nescafé sachet. Appalling.
In the end I had to move to another hotel as I was not going to sleep in a room that would possibly make me Ill.
I travel a lot. And as a gay man Traveling i expect a certain standard to be attained.
This place certainly needs to up its game. Coronavirus is over. Stop blaming it on that.
A very unsatisfactory experience!

Very nice resort. Amazing staff especially Juan who was very attentive from start to finish. Who helped my partner plan a birthday surprise for me.
Facilities where great, plunge pool and red room great additions to the resort. Hopefully once the dorm room is complete it will attract a younger crowd to the hotel.
Great stay would definitely return in the future.

Jun is the true gem of this resort and he is always ahead of the game, sorting transportation, arranging checkin according to your arriving time. He really masters the customer expectations. We hope to come back very soon. Alpha is an institution in Samui and it feels like family every time we return. Thank you
Prices for drinks at the pool bar went up, more than average due to the extra features recently added. This can be ok for non resident guests, but for those staying at the resort it is a bit much. 2 for 1 for residents would still allow a great profit, but encourage guests to stay at Alpha, instead of just visiting for pool parties.

the resort is tucked away up a little hill. the gardens, plants, pool and pool bar are all well tended and it looks really lovely. June is the manager of the place and is very friendly, approachable and responsive. when you check in you kinda do a WhatsApp type thing. which seems odd however it means that you can contact June if there are any issues with your room (the rooms are clean and comfortable) also he lets you know if there are any resort activities planned, there was an lgbtq+ boat party when I was there, plus a few nights out in town planned, so it’s actually really useful. it’s a few minutes from Chaweng Centre, there’s a great and cheap laundry across the road, restaurants on the road (I recommend ‘meet poon’ left out of the resort) all in all a great stay adhd experience.
it’s nothing but I think Brian need linen is an odd choice. but who cares.

Jun, The Manager is a Lovely guy an will do anything to help. The hotel is set in lush grounds, has a good lively pool bar, but is also quiet an relaxing at night. The facilities are good.
The Water Heater shuts off a lot due to power fluctuation. There needs to be some inline system to stop that as cold showers are common unless you know how to reset the heater, located under sink. Which is easy enough to do.

Beautiful green and quiet area on a little hil, so away from the noisy road. With cosy swimming pool and a very dedicated manager/barman (Jun).
My shower turned cold. Later I heard it was easy to turn on the system again.

Nothing. They sell an image of the resort, which is way fat from reality. The location is bad considering the island. Rooms are dated, old, damaged, and not being able to use them for 2.5 years due to covid brought several damages, and they keep it neglected. The manager was lying regularly to make sure I would have staying and paid on arrival. He also said on a daily base pool bar and gym wear opening the next day for 2 days but a worker told me they were weeks behind.
Overall everything. It really spoiled my holiday, lost a significant amount of money considering had to pay for 2 hotels and change my flight. Ended up seeking for medical advice due to bed bugs as woke up covered in mite bites. Inzect and mice in the toiled. The worse bit was that that in front of these facts they just ignored me complaining. Booing.com offered a 25 euros "reward"!!!! Which was non sense.

gay resort concept , that’s why I booked there
not very well maintained. the room proposed to me had no view. Flooring was damaged as well as the bathroom.
the bar and pool are very small.
I didn’t feel any wibes (and gay wibes) and decided to move to another property. I lost 4000 THB (instead of 5000) the owner was nice with me and booked a cab to drop me at the new hotel I chose.

- Very helpful & friendly staff - Jun was great
- Nice garden
- Nice umbrella in the room
- Good priced laundry nearby
- Shower needs a glass door to prevent the bathroom floor from flooding
- Window in the bathroom does not close completely allowing the mosquitos to fly into the room
- Air conditioner blows directly onto your face while lying in the bed
- No waste recycling

Fantastic Garden Setting, exclusively gay resort, nice guests & socializing. Rooms inside was spacious. Host manager fantastic.
Exterior upgrade & renovation will be done soon.

The manager, Jun, was super friendly and supportive. There was a gay bar in the venue, and I enjoyed the gay themed cocktails like Samui Rainbow and Homojito. I also enjoyed interacting with gays from different countries such as Pakistan, Australia, Netherland, etc.
I stayed three nights but there was no cleaning during the stay. I asked to get new towels but it was "unavailable' since all towels were in the washing machine. A staff brought new towels but forgot to collect the old ones. The number of staff is definitely not catching up with the increasing demand.

We receive a message AFTER having booked (so too late, we are trapped) to announce that due to the Covid, the reception is closed, the pool bar only opens one evening out of 2 (which won't even be the case), that the room will only be cleaned and sheets changed every 3 days (but we stayed 5 days and the room was never cleaned, nor sheets or towels changed). And that the pool terrace, where the deckchairs are, is closed for work (we do not know if this work will take place, nothing seems to be committed in this direction). So a swimming pool without a bar, without deckchairs, obviously without towels… and therefore without a customer. So we couldn't take advantage of it, and we never saw anyone there. This resort is dying. All social spaces are closed (reception, breakfast room, pool terrace and bar), so we never met the other guests. Nothing makes this place a gay space. We are told that pool parties are organized. For the first one, we were 3 (my partner and I, and another customer at the bar). And the next one didn't happen, everything was closed when we wanted to go.
The room is only ok, we were upgraded because the room we were supposed to have was damp with a big musty smell. But even in this superior room, a lot of things are damaged, the bedding is good, the bathroom is quite dirty, very basic. The photos date from a time when this resort was beautiful. But beware, they no longer reflect reality today. Now, this resort must be completely renovated, everything is decrepit. And what's more, it's far from everything and from the beach, on the edge of a very busy road. You will need a car or scooter.
Samui's many resorts seem to be working, with staff, so the Covid argument is a lie. We are in August 2022. A word of advice: there are many very pleasant resorts in Samui, close to the beach for the same price. You will be much better there.

Room needed some repairs especially the floor. Pool bar only opened 3 evenings per week.

Very Beautiful Garden. The people were open, funny and amusing. Nice familiar atmosphere. I am not much of an outgoing Person, which was allright for everyone. I like the cats walking around. Pool was nice and the music at the Pool parties was ok. the Manager was almost always available for questions and help. The location is located close to the central mall. I walked, as i dont go by scooter. You have to try the street food at the crossing 5min walk away. Its amazing. Laundry Service just across the street done by a lovely Lady, you can have a nice Chat with her as well. The venue appears to be quite old, but still has its Charme. I really like the wooden furnishing.and again... the Garden is amazing. Butterflies flying around :)
I couldnt pay via Maestro, although its written on the booking website. The prices for alc. Beverages are quite high, as i stayed in other more expansive places before, where the Drinks were cheaper at the bar. No Restaurant. No Gym.

The resort is set on a luch and spacious property. Renovation is taking place, the future looks even brighter. Rooms come with strong ac and matrasses, as mentioned in earlier reviews, are amazing. The owner is super practical and helpful. Would definitely come back.
It's a fair walk to the main hub over a not so pleasant street. I would recommend renting a bike.

Location was very good... the pool was 7/24 open.
More choices for the breakfast.
No possibility after 7pm for drinks and food at the pool side... the bar is closing to early... more friendly staff at the bar would be nice.

Breakfast : no need to take it (too long waiting time, limited choices)
