A wonderful stay amidst snow mountains of Almaty

The property is nestled amidst nature. There are a number of walking trails that start there. The room itself is very cute with all the amenities. But none of this mattered during our stay, it was the exceptional hospitality that won our hearts. We were lucky to be present at the property while another couple (now friends) were celebrating their special day. Yuri, the host, invited us as well to the common area where we had a great time over food and drinks with them. It was cultural exchange at full flow. The other day, Alena hosted a special DJ performance which transported us to another world. Yuri was very kind, cooked amazing breakfast (he's the best!) and took care of all our requirements. There is no doubt that we would be back. Thank you lovely people for taking such good care of us and opening up your hearts.

A great place to spend a calm quiet weekend

Host was extremely friendly, we had a nice compliment. Room was very nice and calm, bed was great, had a good sleep. Overall it felt calm and easy. Breakfast was great and drip coffee with cinnamon was tasty.

Отличное место выбраться отдохнуть на природе в тишине, но при этом недалеко от города

Отличный домик в красивом месте недалеко от города. Точнее не домик, а несколько домиков на одном участке, но удобно и продуманно спроектировано - ощущение, когда живешь в своем номере - как будто в своем домике находишься, с красивыми видами на горы. Красивая и ухоженная территория, отличный дизайн и убранство номера. Замечательный и дружелюбный администратор Юрий, помогал со всеми вопросами, приготовил вкусный ужин за отдельную плату. Очень вкусный кофе в турке на завтрак - отдельно впечатлило. Мобильного интернета в округе нет - но когда хочешь отдохнуть на природе от суеты скорее плюс.

В номере немного не хватило хорошего шкафа с полками для одежды/вещей. Мы были вдвоем и на одну ночь и для нас было не критично, но если были бы с детьми и/или на несколько ночей - было бы не очень удобно. Вайфай временами работал нестабильно - то с хорошей скоростью, то тормозил-отключался. Но в сравнении со всеми плюсами эти минусы ерунда.

very nice unique stay

i liked the view and the quiet in this place, it's far away from the city. its good for relaxation and having a good time with your partner. put in your mind there are no restaurants up. so you can buy things you can eat before you arrive. but there are fruit and coffee from the host. and the host was a very nice person he asked us if we would like to have steak and hotdog to cook. and we did it was a really nice day. thank you Kirill.

The insects were annoying because it is in a mountainous placeو But I understood from the host that he is working on something to prevent insects. I wish there was a curtain on the side of the bed to block out the sunlight

Great location (secluded and quiet, but still near supermarkets). Great breakfast. The room was clean. Instructions were presented before arrival, which made check in very easy. I would love to make another visit if I'm ever in Almaty again!

As a traveling tourist, I had some trouble initially with placing a dinner delivery. I wasn't aware of the process/apps used by locals, so it took a bit of time to get used to it. No ones fault but my own for poor planning. I received a lot of help from the host when I had troubles.

The road to the property isn’t good be careful while driving . It’s a home stay and not a hotel or resort so don’t expect everyday cleaning and changing of the sheets. The breakfast is limited .

Would have stayed again if not for the host!

The location and property were good. The location was a bit far from where you can get a proper signal. so we were totally dependent on the wifi. The food served was good. Bonus they had cats!

The host was rude multiple times. They wanted to charge more for calling a cab. They mentioned multiple times that if we stay even on the premises after check-out, we would have to pay 2000kzt/hr. Which was fine however, the tone she used was not comfortable at all! We had to come out with our luggage an hour before check-out time outside just to get a cab.

Sweet HomeStay NOT A HOTEL. Fair place for a short stay - not EXCEPTIONAL

Stayed in the Chalet and was comfortable and cozy. A place far away from the city if your aim is to unwind and relax, however do not expect a hotel atmosphere. The place needs to be seen as a homestay. Spacious room, okay breakfast - limited food (choice of omelette or porridge with coffee) served to your room which felt nice. If you are a local that drives wanting to getaway from city to a homestay - good choice. If you are a foreigner who rely on taxi or public transport and if your itinerary is packed with going out - good luck! I'd probably be giving 7.5 however that was not an option but definitely not 9! Mr Roman - the host is mostly at property and very helpful as a person.

Firstly the location itself, while it is only 8-10 kms from the city, the last few stretch of road to this place is bad and had trouble finding taxi's that were willing to come pick us / drops. Those that eventually came cursed themselves for accepting the ride. The range for Beeline was bad and almost zero within the rooms and outside the home. One needs to be on high place such as terrace or upper ground to receive range. They would charge extra for children that accompany and in fairness this was made transparent by the property at time of booking. However the extra 8k KZT didn't seem justifiable for my 4 year or child as we neither took any extra crib or a separate breakfast. I wasn't sure then what was this additional cost used for as the breakfast was served for 2 adults. This seemed unusual than other places that charge you if you take additional bed / crib. Supermarkets / restaurants are not within reach so make sure you pack yourself with enough amenities. As a foreigner I couldn't use the Yandex Eats app as I didn't have a Kapsi card on me however the host Mr. Roman was very helpful and offered assistance in this area. Appreciate that!

It was relaxing and enjoyable.

we loved the room and the property! They delivered breakfast to our room, and it was so comfortable to stay there. We will definitely be going back!

The lady who let us into our room showed us another room saying that it would be the same price. however, at the end of the stay when we were paying, the owner said the room we stayed in was more expensive.

A quiet place to get away from the city and relax, enjoyable

It was quite quiet which is what I was hoping for. It’s a bit off the beaten path, so taxi drivers were a bit annoyed about going down a muddy hill. The room was comfortable. The bed had a great mattress. All staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Having a water filter in the room was very helpful!

One thing that was challenging was having three different contact numbers for communication. I did not know who to speak to order breakfast. I was initially contacted by the manager, but then another person met me at the property. There was yet another person I had to contact for placing a breakfast order, and I did not initially have this number. I found this to be confusing and a bit frustrating. The room description listed a microwave, but there was not one in my room. I made do with the multi cooker. There were no bowls in the room, but I also made do. I know it is in the mountains, so I expect a few bugs, but there were quite a few little bugs in the room.

Unsatisfied Experience

Nothing liked in this property. It should be under home stay category I feel.

1. The room provided to me was in the ground floor though the host informed me it will be in 1 st Floor. 2. The behaviour of the staff was rude. 3. Served breakfast to us like we were a prisoner. 4. Didn't allow us to stay even few minutes after the checkout time. 5. There was a cat who tried to enter the room several time by jumping and hanging the door handle. 6. There are no nearby restaurant or supermarket. 7. The taxi who came to drop us in this property stuck in the snow near the gate and also the taxi came to pick up stuck in the narrow road near the hotel gate.

Stayed in the chalet which was amazingly comfortable, with a panoramic window facing the mountains and a spacious terrace. There's at least one nice hiking route just outside, you may look up the track on the internet.

The cats and the dogs are wonderful but might be a problem if you have allergies

SWEET HOME!

The place is absolutely heavenly. Quality material in the room and good breakfast and breathtaking view you can’t get bored off. The bathroom is well equipped and the room is warm in the winter. The hostess Kristina will great you with smile, and is helpful and caring. The dog and cats are cute and friendly. And there is wife, and the best network here is Beeline! Definitely will come back again! What a place . Enjoy guys, this is a no brainer!

Everything in the apartment was high quality stuff, breakfast is awesome, views are astonishing, pets are lovely, kids are cute and ready to help with cats. We were happy with good coffee in the room, but hosts provide great Turkish coffee with breakfast.

Although wifi is great, the cellular connection with izi.me (beeline) didn't work in the house, so we had to walk around the territory to catch the signal.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We even played with the cats. I don't think we will stay there again, the owner can&#3

It was a very unique experience. The view outside is so calming. The breakfast is very delectable also.

The location is so much of nature, but there were no nearby shops to buy food or essentials. It would be better to stock up before going there. One more thing, being exact cash for payment. The owner didn't return our change(2000kt), such a shame for a very beautiful place.
