Beautiful!

Charming little apartment that made us feel right at home. Perfect position just minutes walk from the station and 5 minutes walk to the old town. Host was super helpful and responsive, and allowed us a late check out which was lovely. There was even Netflix if you’re having a night in! Thank you.

The kitchen was not really set up for cooking, more for eating, but hey, you are in Parma! Not a complaint. We were super happy!!!

Reconsider booking this

Position is 10, kitchen under- equipped for 8 night stay, no microwave, no sharp knife to cut tomatoes or knife sharpener. Bed very low to ground and cheap mattress, linen poor quality and thin from much washing. No comfy chair to sit, all metal furniture but for high stools. Was very clean. Suitable 3 nights max. No proper stemmed wine glasses (in Italian wine and food growing area where food and wine paramount).

Suffice to say have colostomy bag on my body so no use for toilet but for a wee and at 75 yrs old don't use sanitary products but accused of blocking toilet day of departure re blocked toilet AFTER 8 days with no problem,local torrential rain and flooding was blamed by owner. Rained 7 of 8 days so accepted excuse for blocked toilet. Then asked to pay 250e euro re blockage 10 days after leaving. Toilet cistern had trouble refilling for 8 days which as on 4th floor I put down to poor water pressure in whole of Europe and did not report. Also accused of a lid down sink drain which was there on arrival, no hand -sink drain cover in bathroom on arrival so I could see it as just a hole down drain with no drain cover. Beware to book this for more than 2 nights. To Owner, if you want to let a property then ensure you cover rental costs with the cost of doing business which includes blocked plumbing. You must be aware of problem as you have a notice in bathroom which is the ONLY notice in English. The only other notice is in Italian with no translation. It would help if you had a notice of the Italian emergency number in English. You need to lift your game for international visitors. I hosted for 5yrs on Airbnb as 5* host so I know the cost of doing business and costed accordingly.

An adorable lodging in Parma

Overall I rate this place quite highly. Parma is a small town but I found the location to be pretty good, with some meters away from the station but also some meters away from restaurants and shops. This allows you to travel to other places but base yourself in Parma for the evenings and nights. The owners quickly replied on WhatsApp after the traditional code-link for check-in did not work and replied to my call when I needed.

The thing which bothered me the most is not actually the fault of the owners' but it looks like a group of people tend to linger around the street and door from which you enter the block of apartments in which this room is found. They hang around and drink and might make one feel uncomfortable to access the door. Fortunately, the room is then not effected by the noise they make.

There is space downstairs to keep your bike safe. Very useful to find oil, salt, coffee and tea assortment.

The street is well located, although not very comfortable for access with the car.

Although things started off on a negative note the rest of our stay was positive and enjoyable.

The apartment is cozy. it is very close to the train station.

Entrance was gain by a key in a lock box. I did not realize the booking had sent the combination. Fortunately we had a nice taxi drive who was able to help In fact it was a call to his wife who spoke English who helped with translation. we we finally reached the individual we were able to communicate the problem. To arrive in an unfamiliar city and communicate through texting was frustrating. after a month of traveling through Italy this was the first place where we did not meet the host.

A room made with love and care

In the room there is a small wooden frame that reads “Do all things with love” and this moto is directly relevant to my review. It is the first time that I give a full 10 for an accommodation. It is not because it was the most luxurious or most modern or the best equipped. It is because it is obvious that it has been built and is maintained with a lot of love and care. Whatever object is present in the room either self made or from bought from a shop, has been carefully, selected or painted or made in order to fit best in the room and to be in harmony with everything else. Nothing is random or by chance. If you combine this full of love and care environment with also the spotless cleanness of the place and the excellent location, you certainly have a winner. I doubt that a couple could find any other room in Parma where they will fill more welcomed and belonging. Just Great!!!

Not the fault of the property owners, but there was a slight smell of mould in the elevator.

Perfect spot in Parma

Very nice loft appartement (4th floor) with elevator access. Well equipped with little kitchen, espresso maker, small balcony at the back (in sun), small bathroom and comfortable bed. AC works well to keep nice cool for sleeping. Short walk to railway and to Parma old town centre. Very comfortable place to spend a few nights in Parma.

Comfy, clean and perfectly located

The location is perfect. Super close to the city center and easy to reach. Everything you need is present in the room and it was super comfy and clean. It was a bit warm as it’s in the attic but as there is an airconditioning that was solved within half an hour. We slept like babies! The host is very sweet and the instructions on how to get in the apartment were very clear and easy. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Actually, everything was just as we needed, we didn’t dislike anything!

Good stay for one person in good location in Parma

Clean apartment, large comfortable bed, good Wifi. Easy to get to city center and train station, check in with lockbox is simple. Beautiful balcony and good air conditioning too.

Large groups of people loitering outside building entrance seemingly all the time, smoking and often blocking entry into building.

Very good

A very nice little apartment, but more like a studio with bed and kitchenette in same room. Clean and comfortable and a quite location close to trainstation and old town.

Bathroom need some reparation and maybe a renovation. A very strong smell of cleaning liquid at arrival, gave me headache.
