Loved it!!

Love how secluded yet so close to town the location was. Alison and Ross even provided gluten free breakfast and snack for me!! I will definitely be coming back here!!

Excellent couple getaway

Great view, pleasant comfortable spacious clean. Plenty of great options for breakfast included. Friendly non intrusive owners (we were on wedding anniversary).

Excellent base in every way to explore the delights of Akaroa

All perfect! Wonderful location with water views , owners soo friendly and helpful, apartment comfortable, spacious wonderful views and had all we could possibly need. Tasty Breakfast was all there for us to enjoy plus extra treats. Highly recommend. Short walk ( steep hill coming back!) or drive to lovely town.

We loved our stay in the beautiful apartment. It had many ex factors including generous foody gifts.

A great short stay in Akaroa

A wonderful. character filled apartment, high above Akaroa with excellent facilities. So much better than a vanilla motel with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Lively personal touches, with outside dining options as well as a dining table set up to catch the views. Communication by the owner was outstanding and she went out of her way to provide gluten free options for breakfast.

Would be a lovely place to choose for a special occasion stay

Very nice breakfast , appartment was quiet,lovely views ,tastefully furnished,unexpected home baking several times given to us and so appreciated! Hosts are superb. We would definitely recommend a visit ,we hope to return one day..

Would definitely recommend staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Alison and Ross were very friendly and welcoming while respecting our privacy throughout the 3 nights we stayed. It was a well appointed apartment in a stunning elevated location, with a quick walk down the hill to the shopping areas.

Exceptional

It was a well-appointed apartment. Everything was good quality. Homemade bread, homemade biscuits were very much appreciated. We had organized and been to a funeral and before flying home to North Island, we took 2 nightsR & R at the Rectangle. It was just what we needed to relax and unwind.

Great view, great apartment, great little town... stayed longer than we'd planned

The view was fantastic, the cleanliness and standard of the apartment was great. Breakie was fresh and/or local goodies. All fantastic. We stayed an extra night! :)

A wonderful compact home away from home!

Superb breakfasts provided, homemade bread and cookies included. Loved the muesli - home made or commercial, would love the recipe! The bird life and bird song were great, watching kereru eke nectar from shrub flowers, the kingfisher sitting on the wires, and the songs of tui and bellbird.

Superb!!

The Rectangle was immaculately clean and well appointed. We loved the delicious (and plentiful) breakfast and beautiful views of Akaroa harbour. The location is excellent - close enough to walk into the township, but far away enough to enjoy the quiet. We would love a return visit to The Rectangle.
